  1. I have to agree with @Leyrann and @The Forgetful Archivist that was a great metaphor. much better than my weak explanation.
  2. however most of us have more morals than most members of the DA and we have lots of fun even if it's a bit random.
  3. I think technically you can be apart of both, but the two organizations have a unpleasant history.
  4. The Nightwatcher looks at you and says you already have 24 hours a day or whatever amount of time Roshar has a day. She does not give you anything else and so you don’t get any banes. I wish for more meals that my sister can eat. She’s on a narrow diet, so the food and get repetitive.
  5. you need to swear the oaths and then either @Stormblessed Dolphin or @Archer can choose to grant you admittance. I don’t have the authority to admit people.
  6. “Who are you?” Butt asked Nazh while sobbing. “I don’t even remember whom you are. And why did you throw a pencil at me?” “It’s actually ‘who’ in that case,” Nazh corrected. “And we haven’t meet before this so, I’m not sure why you’re so upset. Unless of course it was the pencil.” “I don’t even remeber proper grammar,” Butt sobbed not caring that he hurt from the pencil.
  7. So he started sobbing again in a corner (although he had forgotten that he had just done that) because he hated Uncle Brandy and couldn’t remember anything else.
  8. He had forgotten everything about his life except for Uncle Brandy and of course the ghanderflaffle.
  9. Dilaf rejoiced in his new powers. Also @Ark1002 just so you know the moderators don’t like it when people double post. You didn’t know, so don’t worry about it. If you have more to say before someone else posts again then just edit and add it to the original post.
  10. Tresting suggested using a few of his skaa as sacrifices.
  11. That is my most used quote from Avatar.
  12. this made my day. I love Sazed so much.
  13. Butt asked Scruple to find other people to invite to the team. Scruple would handle paying them. Butt figured that they should be his employees. Scruple invited Lord Tresting, even though he was dead. He brought him back from the Beyond. He wondered if that had been a good idea, but he figured it would work out okay, because Tresting should loyalty now since they brought him back.
  14. He wasn’t confused because of the voices, but because he was already the ultimate and strongest Fartomancer in the cosmere before the spikes. That what comes with holding the Butt shard. So he sat there confused as to how he just became the ultimate and strongest Fartomancer when he already was it before.
  15. When you are reading another book and you read “Stormfather” instead of “Storm King.” Yep I had to do a double take.
  16. Hey welcome! That’s cool. I’m glad we have some other religions on the shard too. Otherwise it would be borning.
  17. Yes that would be awesome. I wonder how we can get that to happen.
  18. When you are studying for the GRE (a test to get into grad school) and you look up some vocab you need to know and one of them is “ostentatious” and you already know what the word means and think, “Thanks Vivenna!”
  19. He figured the weakness was irrelevant, so he he didn’t bother to try to learn it and attack him with fartomancy.
  20. That might be the most truthful thing someone has ever posted on this thread.
  21. I am also Mormon. yeah there seems to be a lot of us on the shard.
  22. Butt decided to ditch the rhyming and go back to his favorite word, Irrelevant.
  23. I really love the Death Gate Cycle. It used to my favorite series until I found Mistborn, but it’s now probably my second favorite. By Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman I am also reading the Runelords right now and I’m loving it. Not as good as Sanderson, but still really good. I love how the magic of the Runelords works. I find it incredibly interesting. A Runelord can get qualities from people, say sight, hearing, voice, brawn, etc. The person who gives the endownment then no longer has access to that. So if I were to give sight to a Runelord then I would be blind. He could now see as good as two people. This arrangement lasts until one of the two people dies. If the person who gave the endowment dies then the Runelord looses the ability, but if the Runelord dies then the person gets their ablility back. I think it’s intresting, because it can be incredibly powerful while having a high cost. There is someone who has so many stamina that someone can run a sword through his heart and his body will just quickly heal. However, he nows needs to take care of the people who now are weak and do not have an immune system, otherwise they will die and he looses the abilities. By David Farland I would also recommend the Discworld if you are looking for a fantasy, which is more comical. I would start with Guards! Guards! Don’t start with book one since it doens’t really connect to the other books that much. By Terry Pratchett
