Hi, my name is Myrddin and I am an addict.
On May 3, 2017 a friend requested, via a facebook post, suggestions for Audiobooks that he could listen to on his way to work. I gave some suggestions, and another of my friends commented on this post as well, suggesting Sanderson's Mistborn series. I was in the market for a new series, having just finished the most recent Cotton Malone novel. I went to the library and got The Final Empire. 48 hours later, I placed requests for The Well of Ascension, The Hero of Ages, The Alloy of Law, The Shadows of Self, The Bands of Mourning, and The Arcanum Unbounded. After binge reading/listening to those 6 Novels and the 3 Mistborn Short Stories from the Arcanum, I have set out to read all of the Cosmere books currently published. I just finished Warbreaker about 30 minutes ago, and have decided I need a support group. I am about to start Elantris (on my way home from work today).
Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself to people who, I hope, understand the relentless hunger for more of these epic and intricate tales, as well as the crippiling depression that occurs when the stories are, even temporarily, over.
I'm Myrddin, and that is my story.
PS - Curse you Brandon for raising the bar for Fantasy Literature, so many of my previous favorite stories seem so... dull... now. Like they were written by Drabs... But also, Thank You.
