I would like to announce... that I am not dead. Lol. Life has been absolutely freaking ridiculous since about the end of August. Ridiculous in a good way, I promise.

I would like to announce that today at work, a disgruntled drug addict chucked a stack of paper at me. The positive side is that the stack was comprised of results for neurological and radiological tests that were missing from his chart. Thanks, crazy dude!

Attended a swing dance where they performed, and got hooked.

I would like to announce that my computer is now free of the 170-some spy/ad/malware programs that Advance SystemCare 5 found this morning. *sigh* Ever since I got that nasty computer-destroying virus in college, my poor laptop has never been the same. I can't wait until I can afford a Mac.

Allomancy in the zombie apocalypse... Coinshots to take down any walkers. Lurchers to retrieve the coins (or any other projectiles you might find laying around). Soothers for keeping your group of survivors calm. Just a few ideas to get you started...

How would you use allomancy in the zombie apocalypse? Any particular power you would like to have (other than the obvious answer of "mistborn")? Which would be the most beneficial? Or the least beneficial?

Oh my gosh, could you imagine taking Mistborn-themed cupcakes to a Swing Knights dance? People would give us funny looks, I think. "What on earth are all these symbols for?!" Or, they just wouldn't care because, well... it's free food. Swing dancers love free food.

I had my first somewhat Mistborn-themed dream the other night. Unfortunately, it wasn't as awesome as I had expected for my first. Actually, it was kind of traumatizing.

Basically, I was stuck in an airport during the zombie apocalypse. I got separated from my group and got cornered in a broom closet. My allomantic powers were so sucky, I got devoured by a horde of ravenous zombies because I couldn't hold the door shut for very long.

Luckily, my zombie apocalypse dreams usually get better. In a few dreams, I won't die anymore. In fact, I'll probably be a mistborn, not just an unpracticed Pewterarm. Then, I won't suck anymore, and the walkers will be scared of me. Ok, probably not that last part, but I'll still be awesome.

Hey y'all! I'm new here, and thought I'd introduce myself. It's taken me a couple of days, of course, because I am easily distracted by... well, lots of things.

I am a budding... er... struggling freelance artist, Disney-addict, avid swing dancer, and lover of all things vintage. I also quite enjoy baking, crossword puzzles, cryptograms, and NASCAR, among other things. Strange combination, I know.

Anyway, your friendly neighborhood admin, KChan, had been telling me about Mistborn for the longest time, and when I finally gave in to reading it, she bought the trilogy for me for Christmas. I've always preferred to draw than read, but I found myself unable to put the books down. I blew through the first two with surprising speed, considering my life-long aversion to reading, and I'm currently making my way through The Hero of Ages. I'm pretty darn excited to read more once I'm finished! (Suggestions?)

And now, after some encouragement, I'm here. Me and my nerdy self. Should be fun!
