"Price doesn't matter. It obviously has some sentimental value. Eh?" Devaan smiled, but his eyes were scanning around the sewers, he was ready to fight at any moment. "What's your name, friend?"

Devaan saw the man up ahead. "Is your name Frob, by any chance? I found something that belongs to a guy called frob. It had sewage marks over it." Devaan took out a small gold necklace and let it hang from his close wrist. "If not. Do you know where this Frob might be, by any chance? I might be mistaken, and it might be owned by an acquaintance of his. it get's awfully dark down here" Devaan offered the necklace towards the Man. Take the bribe, come on. You have to know where Frob is.

So in the Bloodflame gang thread, some characters have discussed and finalised the plan for a bomb set at the government building. Spoiled below are the posts discussing this: So @Ark1002, as acting leader of the keepers you might want to move an NPC to be keeper representative for a while. @Vargo Seldon This is just so you don't get any nasty surprises and we all know what happened OOC. In character is a different matter.
-
Seymour assessed them both. "I need names, investiture and skills. Do either of you have accommodation or will you be staying in the canton building?"
-
"I'm just a fighter, thats all" Devaan told Neo. "We're looking for a guy called Vesuvius. He killed 20 kids in OASIS City. Frob is just the guy who owns the safe house." Devaan stopped as well. Not making a sound, listening out into the darkness. He heard it. A soft dripping, a faint presence in the darkness. "Something's up ahead" He whispered, barely audible. He silently took out his deck of cards. Managing to shuffle the nicrocil plates without making a single sound.

That's easier said then done. I've tried capturing their members before. Syndicate revealed a long scar that ran along his back, it had burn marks around it. "Canton members all are required to make contact with each other once every two days. If they go missing for enough time, a tracker activates and then the canton sends an ops team while bunkering down." "Like it or not, we'll have to face down the members of the canton of combat. They keep a standing guard of forty with them at all times, not to mention at least one leader is there at all times." Syndicate produced a large sheet of paper and pinned it to the board. "Here's a list of the canton's S class fighters. Any one of them can take out entire squadrons of fighters." The paper reads:
-
Seymour looked at the two of them. "What section would you like to join?" He asked the two of them.
-
Devaan studied the newcomer, Neo. The blades on his forearms and skates suggested he was an edge dancer, as did the use of regrowth. Devaan didn't mind the smell of the sewers, it was still better then other places he'd survived in. "So kid. Do you know who were after?" Devaan asked Neo as they walked.

That totals up to around 150 without the weaknesses, so I'll approve it. Maybe explain how he got his spike?

Devaan had his Ronin clothing on, He looked into the darkness beyond the grate. "I nominate the one with stormlight healing to jump down there." Devaan told Althea. From what he remembered of the sewer system, the grates dropped 20 feet at the most. No one should get seriously harmed unless they go in headfirst, especially no one with investiture. Devaan quickly took out a revolver and held it in his left hand. Loading the chamber fully.

"Frob?" Devaan asked Althea "I'm pretty sure he's a safe house owner. He leases his holes out to petty criminals who pissed off the wrong guy. He never gets involved with murderers though. He might have been coerced into it. I'm ready, lets do some digging"
-
"Pfft. A sword from thin air? People see that here all the time. I can't wait for you to unlock Sethramir's potential, He'll get really annoyed with you if you wield his powers like a common tool" Devaan then grabbed a body double. He activate the three cards strapped to it. It took the appearance of Devaan's body and Aon tia flashed in the air. the illusion set. He could now swap places with it at will.
-
"Old?" Devaan mimicked an old, raspy voice. "You young whippersnapper! I'll still take you!" Devaan laughed with Max. "And of course I want to be fashionable. You have to have style when you fight. Otherwise it's just idiots hitting people with clubs brainlessly. Or staves, in your case" He threw another card, this time it was a little close to the door.
-
"Of course" Devaan selected a pouch of gems from the wall, several broams and some chips. "They aren't encased in glass, but they still hold lots of stormlight. It's a little heavy, but it won't encumber you once you've got some running through you" Devaan began slowly tapping wakefulness, he felt more alert and awake. Devaan nodded to Max. "I got Althea some stormlight bracers, courtesy of you, of course." Devaan grinned. "I got my backup cards!" He held out the nicrocil deck and gestured towards the small crate in the corner. "Thanks for not breaking in because you guys couldn't open it, It has a spirit-web lock on the thing." He shuffled, old reflexes coming back as he drew a card and threw it, flicking his wrist as he did in a smooth motion. The card sailed through the air and embedded itself in a crate, rattling as it did so. "damnation. I was aiming for the door." he told Max. "Guess I'm more rusty than I thought"
-
"It's pretty instinctive. Once you have stormlight coursing through you, you'll feel a need to fill the bands. Tapping takes some practice to do expertly, but you can instinctively tap as well. It's a pretty surreal feeling." Devaan replied. He had been feruchemist for hundreds of years, tapping and storing had been as simple as breathing to him, after all that time it had been difficult to explain something that was so natural. *** Seymour watched the conversation with interest. "Damaya Vulcan." He muttered, sending a quick memo down to intelligence about her. "Would you like me to schedule you for aerial assault sessions? What timeframe works for you?" He asked, sheepishly breaking into the conversation.
-
"Take some stormlight bracers, less chance a radiant can steal them." He told Althea. Gesturing to some nicrocil bracers that lined the side of the wall. "They'll key to your identity once you've used them once, meaning you'll be able to store some stormlight in them." Devaan then walked to a small crate in the corner of the room and placed his hand on it. SPIRITWEB IDENTIFIED. DEVAAN SHEONAR. The crate opened. Devaan smiled as he clasped some bronze bracers on his arms and took out a deck of nicrocil cards. "I've missed these" He said before putting them in a waterproof pouch.
-
"Fantastic. Rooms are down the hallway to the left. You'll be staying in dorm 4, bunk 12." Seymour handed him a key. "This is the key to your strongbox. Use it to store any valuables you want to keep near you. The canton is pretty safe, but you can never be to carful with your belongings" "This is the Canton of Combat. yes." Seymour smiled at the Woman "If you would like to train you have some options. You can pay for training at two chrysts a session, each session lasts an hour and you can schedule as many as you like. Another option is you join the canton of combat. Training is free and you'll have unlimited access to the facilities." Seymour paused for a moment. "The third option is to go to Scadrial. We run a training ground atop the second highest Seran mountain. It has basic and advanced training, but it takes a lot of determination to be able to climb to the top. It's a long-term stay. Leave when you wish, but people who emerge from the training grounds are some of the most skilled fighters out there" *** Devaan entered the canton of combat. Nodding to Seymour, he'd already been filled in on his current... Predicament. Max and Althea followed close by. Walking down a long hallway that led out of the main room and reaching the end of it, they came to a door that had "Canton Armoury" Engraved on it. Two guards stood outside the door. "Clearance code?" One of the guards asked Devaan "Ruddy you damnation well know I don't need clearance" "Yes sir" He smiled and let the group through, nodding to Althea and saluting Max. Inside was a large storage area. It contained a large amount of weapons, armour, tech and investiture supplies. "Anything you two want?"
-
"Agreed. I'm going to need to pick up some wakefulness stores while we're out. Then I'll be more alert and helpful" We shouldn't be pushing this body like this. It's not used to prolonged sleep deprivation. We'll be fine with Feruchemy. We'll collapse when our stores run out They won't run out. Where the hell are we getting those stores from then "Lets stop by the canton armoury" Devaan told the two of them, standing up and putting his jacket back on.
-
Syndicate nodded. "I'll do it. Voice modulation isn't needed. Give me an audio recording of the Jackal and I'll mimic him, I believe the Jackal wears a mask? We shall have one replicated. We'll film it near a window in an apartment I own. It's got the worldspike in its window, it will be a decent giveaway. If they don't figure it out then they won't be competent enough to be a threat."
-
"Sounds like a plan. We'll need someone to stage the video, though." Red replied.
-
"He got married, If I recall correctly, but I haven't met up with my informants in a day, so I don't know much about what he's up to right now."
-
"We have to hope for the best and plan for the worst" Devaan replied. "Why do I smell blood from upstairs?" Hellbent asked suddenly, mimicking Devaan's posture and body language. How the hell did you manage to speak there? I'm in control! You were distracted. I could get a quick sentence in.
-
Devaan noticed the rioting lessen. That would be enough to ask for. "Apparently the Keepers and a couple of other guilds are having a bit of an argument over the existence of the Yetis, that combined with the church of the white rose attack might mean we have to become more active. Another war may break out soon." Devaan grimaced for a moment, dredging up old memories. "The canton is in a position of advantage, compared to many other guilds. We aren't a great guild, we don't have the armies or the force of guilds like the Keepers, TUBA or the Ghostbloods. But that's not what we value at the canton is it? You train your forces well, because sooner or later this powder keg is going to explode and there isn't much we'll be able to do to stop it. Scouts are a good start. Silphio's already there, talking with Returned and some Keepers." Another War It seems to be that way. Are we fighting in it? We don't have a choice, really. If we don't more people will die than if we do fight in it. There's also the matter of her. That too.
-
"That's good" Devaan replied, smiling. "I suggest you stop the rioting now by the way. Hellbent is getting antsy. The book contains many canton secrets. Feel free to ask me about them once you've finished. I imagine some will be concerning. Shocking even, but it will be a great help to you" "How is running the canton anyways? what's up in operations? from what I've seen of the guard division that Silphio is running, things seem to be going smoothly."
-
"The precursors are unfortunately a threat. From what I've seen they have a decent enough amount of manpower that they could help the Canton." Syndicate replied. "The Jackal tip might work. But the message would have to be strong. A simple tip-off wouldn't get enough of the Precursors out of our way" Jane added. "We need something big enough that a majority of the precursors are out of the way, but small enough that mass panic isn't caused."
