  1. I like this because it makes Tanavast and the Spren to be culpable for the Recreance. The knights discovered the price of their bond with the spren was a hell not even the heralds could suffer, and willingly gave up their powers rather than face that road. This could have been discovered after their "grievous defeat" where a lot of them (The Radiants) died, and the spren revealing to the survivors just what horrors awaited their bondmates after death.
  2. I'd go with Stonewards since I've always been stubborn, also I have the feeling they have super strength (Stone sinew, tension) Which would be amazing
  3. Re-Shephir, the Midnight Mother, giving birth to abominations with her essence so dark, so terrible, so consuming. She is here! She watches me die! Another Unmade. I have a feeling that for each unmade there is an opposite of cultivation or Honor. Whether these be specific singular entities like the stormfather I don't know because Mr. T references how "The Unmade are a deviation, a flair, a conundrum that may not be worth your time. You cannot help but think of them. They are fascinating. Many are mindless. Like the spren of human emotions, only much more nasty. I do believe a few can think, however." This makes me think that the Unmade who can think are like the Stormfather and Nightmother. and to a lesser degree Syl and Wyndle. Syl is a part of Stormfather just as he is part of Honor. Stormform is a part of everstorm as it is part of odium. Equal and Opposite reactions
  4. Choose only the order's combos, since there is likely a physics reason for the surge's pairings.
  5. @The One Who ConnectsI'm thinking she'll get an opposite too then. Perhaps the Unmade since we don't really know what they are yet. Just found this Re-Shephir, the Midnight Mother, giving birth to abominations with her essence so dark, so terrible, so consuming. She is here! She watches me die! Boom our Nightmother's opposite.
  6. Ah yes fuel. Then I, as impirical topic starter upper grant all commentees the ability to metabolize stormlight from food. Lift would be proud.
  7. Thanks I guess i'll start a topic about it then! I'm curious about these and the Nightwatcher as well. What if she has a voidbringer equivalent, or even worse IS a voidbringer equivalent. The child of odium and cultivation (Lol that would make Lift correct in her assessment which seems like a Sanderson thing to do)
  8. The Everstorm has come. We see in Words of Radiance that the stormfather says "They call for a storm. My opposite. Deadly." My theory is this. That opposite is to Odium as the Stormfather is to Honor(Tanavast) A new godspren but of Odium rather than Honor. The voidspren that bring stormform could be to the Everstorm as Syl and the honorspren are to the Stormfather. I was also wondering what exactly the Unmade are. I would think that they have something to do with the Voidbringers because for Moelach telling the future is of the voidbringers. The thrill or nergaoul is another. Do these forces each have opposites? Are they of Odium or Honor or something else?
  9. The Everstorm is the stormfather's opposite though. A singular entity that opposes him. Why would this not be a singular figure? Just because windspren come with the highstorm doesn't mean that they are the highstorm per se
  10. Alright! I'm new to the 17th shard, and for my very first topic I thought that I would propose something we would all have fun with. Which kind of surgebinder would you be and how would you use your powers in OUR world!? Would you be a graceful yet erratic Edgedancer slicking around skateparks, a Lightweaver, using your powers of illusion strictly for good (I would steal only one cookie.) Or a Windrunner, gravity itself at your beck and call. Keep in mind, surgebinder, not Radiant. You aren't bound by pesky morals and obligatory oaths!
  11. Should we post errors in the audiobooks as well? I don't those can really be fixed without major money spending on behalf of Tor/Brandon..?
  12. So far we know that Ruin had an equal and opposite reaction to Preservation. I think there will be 10 voidbringer surges. . I'm betting its just 10 for some reason.
  13. I don't have much to back this up, but I think that they want to arrange for Odium's escape from braize somehow by tampering with the Oathpact, which is what keeps him on Braize I believe. Maybe the corruption of the KR through their (the ghostbloods) influence over Shallan, or should I call her Veil? We shall see.
  14. Wish granted, you've completed it, but have left a grammatical error in every other sentence. ENJOY! I wish that Oathkeeper would be rated R as a book (Comparitively not literally)
  15. @Spoolofwhool Aha! Thanks for the info! Just joined the site!
  16. Why was sadeas so bored with plateau runs?! He found them to be A DULL WIN Forgive me.
  17. Hmmm puzzling indeed. Its been a while since I read that interlude! Gotta do more homework next time! Do you think Taln stilll has it and just doesn't have the clarity to summon it?
  18. accepts cookie, and invests it. Liftstyle
  19. What we know is that Szeth is under the impression that the "other seven" are still kept in Shinovar by the Shamanate. So far we know he has the Windrunner blade, and Naln has the Skybreaker blade because
  20. Why did the Parshendi call in sick They got KHOLIN cancer
  21. Hello! Radiant_Jaeger Here! I am a fan of all of brandon's books, but my crown jewels have to be the stormlight archive. The rage I felt at Amaram's betrayal. The tears I shed alongside Shallan as she divested her hate for pattern, and the sheer bravery in the face of failure as Dalinar fought abandoned on the Shattered Plains are my reason for joining! Hope to bring forth interesting ideas, good conversation and most importantly of all, WIT!
