Thanks so much guys! We're super keen to share the whole process with you. 

Being in our own little industry in South Africa, we're also incredibly excited to document every step of this process in hopes to show all that goes into creating a character for 3D as well as show you a bit of what goes into the couple of shorts we will be making with him! If you have ANY questions, we're super keen to answer them!

Our goal is to then potentially move onto a couple of other characters (we have a few in mind) from the cosmere and some from other places. We hope to use each of them to their full potential

I will use this place for important updates if anyone remains interested, either way, we're glad you seem keen!

So my partner and I have decided to embark on a little collaboration project to help us hone our craft! It's called Kaladin Stormblessed - Bridge four' and the goal is to create the character of Kaladin (Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive series) from concepting phase all the way to animation! No Idea where else to post this project on here, so for now I'll leave it here!  Perhaps post some up dates in this thread as well. 

I'd love to see it all as animation. But part of me wants them to stay books. I dunno. 

Potential for concept art and some sweet sweet art direction has me so very excited.

I'm Super late for this, but I thought I'd just share, personally, I draw from Ciarán Hinds as inspiration for Hrathen. He is just perfect to me. 

Also fitting, I first saw him in Rome. heh.

Oh wow, ok I'm probably going to have to say Stormlight, followed closely by Elantris or mistborn era 2

As for magic system, it's a toss up between mistborn and stormlight as well I think

@Parttimedragon, I'm half south African and consider Cape Town one of the most beautiful places in the world. You're the first South African I've noticed here. 

oh that's neat! and the first? how sad. I do have a friend chilling around here somewhere from the same place, so I won't be the only one haha. And yeh, Cape Town is quite pretty

Nah I'm not, I'm currently an Animation student, final year  But its a goal.
