Mark survived an attack, did he? Well, methinks I found myself the person who stole my motion sensor. Mark IV, prepare for vengeance.

Eternum's explained himself (yay! generating discussion!) and Mark seems like he's a pretty useful source of information (I imagine you have a PM-making ability, as there are things you know that haven't been stated publicly?) I'll move my vote to Arin, but primarily for the former of Eternum's two reasons rather than the latter--his vote on Mint still seems pretty sus; solidifying bandwagons screams scum. Would you mind sharing your win condition now?

Good question. Seeing as I can't actually do anything to kill the person or hinder them in any way, it probably doesn't matter. >_>

I'd be fine with a lynch on Arin or Mark, unless one of them provides an explanation for their vote. Though it wouldn't spark particularly much discussion. Alvron--any luck helping out with the thief-tracking-down club?

I'm tired of these last-minute lynches when I'm not on, so I'm finally going to vote. So due to last cycle's write-up, Crimsn was clearly killed by Lavalake, part of the Epic Cabal. Wasn't it Eternum that assumed that she was a Cabal kill right off the bat? "Crimsn was killed by an epic (Cabal obv" Plus him saying this... ...just seems off to me, and I think he's likely a Cabalite. I'm also less and less inclined to believe Len's claim of vanilla village as the game progresses, as with all the dead players we've seen a grand total of 0 dead villagers. - As Robin ran, the words of the Epics behind carried through the city. “You seem to have an interesting skillset." The voice must have been Balelight's. "I will give you a choice, Epic. Run, now, and vanish into one of those portals, or serve me. I give you an hour to decide.” “And if I run?” Falchion. “You die as soon as I lay eyes on you again. I trust that this situation will be taken care of properly, and I shall be disappointed if I find that it is not.” This situation? Robin thought. Sparks, sparks, SPARKS! If Falchion doesn't obey Balelight, he'll be killed in a flash, but if he does, we're done for. "Scotty, we have to get someplace where Falchion can't find...Scotty?" Her eyes were filled not with relief of having escaped, or even fear of Falchion. They were full of utter rage. @BrightnessRadiant @Elithanathile

Robin and Scotty ran together away from the congregated Epics. Robin's metal legs gave him a longer and more powerful stride, and as he saw the Epics stir into motion behind him, he scooped Scotty into his arms and bounded away with all of his strength. Lightning crackled overhead. As he ran, mist solidified into barriers, which he dodged and leapt over with almost inhuman agility. "Scotty! Is everything all right?"

Suddenly, time lurched backwards, like putting a tape on rewind, back to the point when Aaliyah drew her arm back to throw the knife. Amidst the chaos and disorientation, Sol's voice rang hollowly. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself," a voice said. It sounded familiar for some reason. "The name's Sol, but for all intents and purposes... Call me Tachyon." With the same abruptness as before, time jolted back to normal. Aaliyah's arm moved in real time once again, preparing to throw the knife... but something was different this time. A shaft of sunlight descended from the heavens carrying a figure. Judging by the fire in her eyes and the way she held herself, it was obvious: this was Balelight. “Now, would anyone care to tell me what, exactly, is going on here?” she asked commandingly. We're sparked, Robin thought. Where's Deus Ex Sol when we need him? Robin turned to face Balelight. "I'll tell you what's going on here, Malevolight. We're leaving. And there's nothing you can do to stop us." The words were more confident than he felt. "You saw how your lackeys fared. Just because you're an Epic doesn't make you invincible, and I'm going to--" Robin saw a flash out of the corner of his eye. Could it be...? No. A portal. He grabbed Scotty's arm and launched into full speed away from the Epics. "RUN!" - @Elithanathile @BrightnessRadiant @Seonid if you want to be Balelight

Blushing slightly, Robin turned back to face Scotty. "I'm not going anywhere! You know the consequences of using your powers!" She ignored him, continuing to run back toward their pursuers. As Robin watched, a wall of solid mist appeared in the air in front of Scotty. She slid to a halt before it and stretched out her arms, a sphere of dimly glowing energy beginning to form... "No!" Robin screamed. He ran to her, to the mist wall, to their attackers. "Please, I can fight them! I cannot let you do this! Don't make me..."

"Less talking and more moving, Scotty!" Robin shoved open the door at the bottom of the stairwell and held it open for her. "Come on, I know a place." Together, the two of them ran out of the ruined hospital and into the night. Thunder broke overhead, and it began to rain. - @Elithanathile @Frozen Mint @Sami @King Cole @Crimsn-Wolf @Drake Marshall @anyone else who's at the hospital, Scotty and I are officially leaving unless one of you does something to stop us.

Robin tugged at Scotty's arm. "You don't have a plan, do you?" At her blank expression, he continued: "Let's just get out of here. Something tells me that the entire sparking city is coming down on this hospital, and I'd rather be far away when that happens." @BrightnessRadiant

The force field disappeared and Scotty turned her head to the side. "I thought you'd hate me...because...", her voice cracked. "Well, because of what happened to you." She gestured to Robin's mechanical limbs without meeting his gaze. Without a word, Robin embraced her and planted a kiss on her cheek. They stood for a long moment at the top of the stairwell. Robin finally broke the silence. "It doesn't matter. You're still just Scotty." A pause. "You saved me back there. Thank you." - The sound of footsteps grew louder and louder. "Come on," Robin said hesitantly, "we need to move. We can catch up later."

Suddenly, in the middle of the battle, Robin felt himself being grabbed from behind. "Wha--" The world around him blurred, and he could tell he was in a force field of some kind. In the center of the force field was the person who had grabbed him. Scotty. "No time to explain! Just come with me!" she said, grabbing him and pulling him back down the hall. "Come with you? Where are you going? And what about the Epic? If we--" The windows lining the walls of the hospital shattered, pierced by a hail of bullets from outside. Glass shards flew across the air, but were repelled by Scotty's force field. A second wave of bullets followed, tearing up the walls around them. The two of them ran down the ruined corridor. Sparks, how many people are going to try to kill me today?! Robin thought. @Elithanathile @Frozen Mint

As the Epic disappeared, Robin spun around with near superhuman speed. The Epic was there, sword swinging in an arc down towards him. Robin instinctively stretched out his left hand to block the sword...and caught the blade in his metal hand. "You say I have a dead man's virus? Yet you yourself have a virus far worse--the virus of Calamity." Robin's metal fingers gripped the sword by the blade and slowly bent it backwards. The tip snapped off. "And what have I done to get these limbs of mine? I sacrificed everything for someone I love." Robin paused, then raised his cannon arm. "Throw your broken toy aside, Epic. The end never justifies the means. That's a lesson you'll have to learn the hard way."

Long Game 38: In the beginning...
Ecthelion III replied to AliasSheep's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Signing up, this looks interesting! On your turn, you can submit an order to propose to a living player in your same dimension. (Proposals cannot be redirected or blocked.) Players who have been proposed to can submit an order to accept or decline the proposal by also submitting an order. Proposals expire at the end of the next turn. If the player accepts the proposal, they are married to the proposing player. Married players can do everything their spouse can, including gaining access to any docs, taking actions, etc. Divorces, polygamy, and polyandry are not allowed. If a player's spouse dies, they cannot remarry but they can do everything their spouse could do at the time of death.- 713 replies

"An icon? A symbol? Please. Swords are just instruments of death and the vessels of conquerors. You think carrying a sword makes you just and honorable, but it is the actions of the wielder that define its use. So stop threatening me with that big knife." The Epic disappeared into a portal, and Robin casually lifted his cannon-arm, pointing it straight up and shooting a laser blast at the ceiling. So predictable... He stepped forward, expecting to hear a thump when the Epic hit the ground behind him where he was just standing. He didn't. He wheeled back around, and that's when he saw Scotty at the other end of the hall. "What are you doing here? You're going to end up captured or killed! This man is a murderer!" @BrightnessRadiant @Elithanathile

So this is why you're never supposed to take an elevator in an emergency. The man stood facing his Epic opponent. His hospital robe still covered his right arm, but his left arm was exposed, revealing the metal gears and joints. The Epic was armed with a longsword and stood in an aggressive fighting stance. "This isn't justice, Epic." He spat the last word out. "Murdering innocent people, destroying the city...this is madness. These are crimes against humanity. And I am humanity's Robin Hood." He let the top part of the robe drop to the floor, revealing his right hand. Except there wasn't an hand there. His arm ended in what looked like a cannon. Robin smiled. "Looks like you just brought a knife to a gunfight."
