    THIS JUST IN: KELSIER'S EYES ARE HAZEL.

    I have a lot more tidbits and all of them more juicy than this, but this may be the single thing all weekend that actually added to the cannon. As far as Peter and Brandon know, they never explicitly stated Kelsiers eye color, only that they were "dark", and Brandon thought about it and went with hazel.

    Does it matter? Probably not lol. But the moment he said it Peter contacted the wiki writer to add it officially. Pretty cool to ask a simple question that Brandon graciously chose to answer and then add to the cannon story :)

    You should post all of your tidbits! I'm not sure if anyone got a recording, but that would be awesome.

    So what happens when Shards die?

    Well, it depends on how long the Shardholders have held the Shard. After they die, the Shard is often able to continue acting, a kind of "Cognitive shadow". For example, the mists were able to continue doing what Preservation wished in helping out Vin and snapping people. With the Stormfather, he is that Cognitive shadow, and he's semi sentient. It's that power, but no one is actually holding it. We also see this on Threnody.

     

    I'm new to the forums and don't know if this has been discussed, but is Ati's cognitive shadow still around? By the sound of what Brandon said above it seems like he's definitely held his shard long enough to form a cognitive shadow (since Leras died thousands of years before him and he had an ok functioning CS).

    Could his shadow still be around during Era 2? Could his shadow have picked up another shard, perhaps one killed by Rayse, and is back to destroy the world?

  5. What did Hoid want Kelsier to do?

    I was reading Secret History again and noticed that Hoid says the following to Kelsier after beating him up:

     

    "I'm sorry, Survivor, for the rough treatment," Drifter continued. "But you are not supposed to be here. You did what I needed you to , but you're a wild card I'd rather not deal with right now."

     

    What exactly is Hoid talking about there? At first I thought he meant setting up TLR's death, but I'm not sure why Hoid would have wanted that since TLR was one making sure Ruin wouldn't destroy the world.

    I've been thinking about this recently, and since Feruchemy is of both Ruin and Preservation, perhaps burning both Atium and Lerasium together? Or by burning Lerasium in some other way.

     

    But there's something different about the Terris people, they seem to be a distinct population from the rest of the Scadrial people. Even they are of both Preservation and Ruin, they never manifested allomantic abilities like the rest of the people. Even in

    HoA, none of the Terris people got snapped by the Mists, but if they have Preservation within them, shouldn't at least some of them snapped?

    I've been a big fan of Sanderson for a while, and have read all of his cosmere books. I've lurked the forums on and off for a while and just wanted to jump in and discuss the books with you fine poeple.
