I support worldhoppers, but I am afraid that most are so unknown that Hoid would win. Still might be fun though.

I always assumed that emotional allomancy was being used on him in his sleep by some benevolent world hopper, but an ability unique to the bondsmiths makes a lot more sense.

I agree with the theory that they healed his body, but left nothing in his mind.  Shai is not exactly changing his history, but rather creating an entirely new personality and memory set, making it as close to the original as possible to avoid detection.  That is why she had to study so much, so she could create an exact replica.

One theory I have seen floating around is that the gemstones on the inside gather and use stormlight somehow.

I think you all are forgetting the fact that if you give Lift enough food she has unlimited investiture.  Take her to a buffet and she could ascend.  Also the fact that she can touch cognitive entities in the physical realm.

This is just a general topic for comparing marvel to sanderson.  You can suggest fights between 2 characters, interactions between objects, and comparisons between the 2.

If a kingdom was to start spreading these rumors, it would probably be Jah Keved.  Taravangian wants Dalinar out of power for certain, and also we have the coded message from the chapter 84 epigraph to consider.  One forum decoded it, and it said, "Hold the secret that broke the Knights Radiant.  You may need it to destroy the new orders when they return."  The diagram needs for the new orders to be destroyed, and this seems like the perfect opportunity to accomplish that.

As a side note, I would love to have a scene where Taravangian finds Szeth and tries to order him to kill Dalinar.  Szeth just whips out nightblood and kills him.

So after I saw something that said that the gemstone in a sphere affects the light color, I started thinking about Gavilar's sphere.  I always assumed that it contained investiture from Odium as opposed to Honor.  My new conclusion however, is that the gemstone could have corrupted the stormlight, producing the same effect as nightblood's corrupted investiture.  We have a WOB that the investiture that fuels nightblood is not gone, simply unusable.  If Gavilar had figured out how to manipulate this type of investitiure the possibilities for its uses would be huge, because that investiture would not be influenced by a shard.
