  1. Assuming Senoid's count is correct, voting Elodin will tie the lynch up... Although I'm not more suspicious of him, I'll take the heat of potentially switching the lynch later if HS is evil, just so others can voice their thoughts. I'll remove my vote to prevent a tie if no one else votes, but hopefully this will make some more discussion. Sorry, Elodin Edited to remove vote
  2. While 2 nights isn't all that long, we were "almost certain" to elect a new mayor today as well. I care more about the precedent that we aren't taking every precaution possible than the actual thought of one more night under Lopen. And while the mayor position may be subject to scrutiny, so are other votes and claims; the mayor increases examination slightlet, from what I have seen, for literally doubled voting power. Another factor is that Sart voted him in, with a disclaimer of using an RNG. Makes me a but uncomfortable with him there regardless of his likelihood of having been converted.
  3. I actually think Meta would be a good choice for mayor, Stink. I really don't like the idea of the same person having mayor 2 nights in a row. It provides too much of a basis for corruption Edited to remove mayoral vote. I really don't like ties
  4. Nope, that wasn't me Well. Wow. That's actually a very logical argument, especially for a newer player. My read for you is incresasingly villager, especially because of that accusation of me, ironically. Honestly, though, I'm not an elim. I felt like the argument against Sart was weak anyways (as I said here), and was only voting on her to possibly gain some information from their role reveal on death with which to analyze everyone else. If I were trying to save her from the lynch, I wouldn't have voted for her in the first place. Instead, I would have just looked for a scapegoat and voted on them instead. I definitely wouldn't have abandoned the tried and true strategy of attempting to stop the lynch at first then distancing myself when it became practically inevitable (I did literally the opposite, starting with voting on her (and offering a new reason to do so), then switching off towards the end). When you proposed Straw as a lynch, I felt as if he was definitely more suspicious, and lynching based on our "evidence" against Sart was leaving somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth. Usually, I'm content to just watch and add my thoughts when I feel they're unique or needed, but with the bandwagon on Sart at the time I realized that unless the balance was changed quickly (end of the day and all), it wouldn't get the discussion it warranted, since any discussion wouldn't have a chance of altering the lynch, and therefore couldn't yield as much information. I didn't show up after because no new information was introduced until straw himself claimed about 3 hours later, and as all responses to your comment tended to be variations of the same information, there was little additional ideas or analysis available to do. Oh, and don't think your opinion doesn't count for much, your unique perspective in and of itself is helpful, and with the analysis you're doing, I wouldn't be surprised if you become a very high level player eventually. (If you think I'm just flattering you to ease suspicion, wait until my alignment reveal if/when I die. I'm telling the truth )Sorry in advance for any formatting errors. I'll try to fix them ASAP Edit: Whoo! No formatting errors! Never mind, ignore the line above Edit 2: Just realized an error in here. Straw didn't claim 3 hours later, he claimed 27 hours later. I only checked the difference between time, not days
  5. Huh, I don't remember voting for you... I was really tired, but I don't think I'd forget it entirely. I won't have time to look for it until a couple hours from now, but if you find the post I voted in, link it to here so I can remove it. For now, Bard (Just in case)
  6. Yeah, that was my bad. I wasn't following what you had said at first, I thought you were saying he was an Elim because his action failed as did Straw's, and only one could fail, meaning the other (Ruon) had to be lying. I have no idea how I interpreted it as that, but it sounded just as crazy in my head, which is why I called you out on it. Then, seeing the other replies, I realized I had hugely misinterpreted it. I'm of the opinion your analysis is good, but warrants further discussion. I'll remove my mayoral vote for now, but I don't trust myself to be part of the lynch until I get a few hours of sleep ETA: Oh, by the way, Gunshy has kinda sorta fixed his computer. It wasn't charging correctly, but he mentioned to me that he could get a trickle of power now if he aligned the cord just right. Not sure why he hasn't posted, since that was about 5 hours ago. Might be broken again, or he may be hiding, per say, behind technical troubles
  7. Multiple people can have failed actions, and I'm not sure how your redirect shows anything about Ruon... Care to clarify, Eyrn? Edit: Oooh, just got it. I'm not thinking straight for some reason. My bad Also edited to remove vote Edit 2: Just to clarify, I (for some reason) interpreted this as saying Ruon was inherently suspicious because his action failed along with Elodin's and Straw's. I didn't get the larger context about how that would explain the lack of an Elim kill last cycle. Please excuse my overtired brain
  8. Actually, it might be a valid point because he joined literally for this game, and his only exposure in the forums has been to these threads relevant to the game. I'll have to go back and check some of the context, but we shouldn't dismiss it completely out of hand.Edit: Actually, Elodin, you're probably right. He was responding directly to a post by Orlok describing the reputations. Never mind
  9. I didn't mean role claim, I meant claim that they were detained. That was before I saw that the person who was detained couldn't be targeted, back when I though Straw was either detained or lying.I'll catch up on the rest of the thread in a min, it's a bit hard to do it all at once on mobile Edit: Wait. Does anyone else see that the timestamp in my quote is later than the time it lists for my reply?
  10. Kedrik Shaw is featured on the boxing, hence its slang name (after the "Box" of Kedrik Shaw). (Originally, they were called imperials) Clips and Boxings aren't really described that much in the books. Clips are either copper or bronze (not sure which), and Boxings are gold and in different denominations, IIRC
  11. But he was also the candidate for the wolfbrother kill. Detaining him would have protected him, which I somewhat doubt an experienced villager would do
  12. Most likely. If he were blocked it would only be by an Elim channeler, who would much more likely to just kill him and keep their powers a secret and not waste one entirely. Anyone else want to counter claim Straw? If so, he's most likely lying
  13. Do the detained know they were detained? If so, please say who you were. That way, the whitecloack doesn't need to risk themselves unnecessary. Your identity will eventually be revealed anyways, and if you were actually targeted by the Elims they already know who you are. Just reveal yourself, don't deprive the village of information needlessly
  14. Gunshy has informed me IRL that his computer is broken, so he might be inactive until he can get it fixed
  15. Darkfriends? Definitely more than 2, most likely. Because otherwise they'd have to be last man standing if one of them dies As for mayor, I'd vote for someone more out of the spotlight. Young Bard, perhaps? He seems to have done some level of analysis, but I don't think he's high profile enough to be corrupted. Might make a good mayor for the cycle Edited to remove mayoral vote
  16. Hey Gunshy, you've been a bit quiet lately. Any thoughts on the game so far? Edited to remove vote
  17. When you realize The Great Salt Lake must be a shardpool if Hoid is being hunted there, then prepare to run from the screaming mob of sharders who want to lynch you for implying Earth is Cosmere
  18. Elodin, I'd love to help assuming I'm free. If it's at any point in the next month or so, I won't be able to, unfortunately. When you say the game should be up soon, do you mean for playing or on this thread as an idea? Oh, and I'd definitely sign up in the BT games. They'd be some nice practice sans consequences, and a nice break from higher intensity games
  19. What Fain thing? There's been a decent amount of discussion on that topic in general, but I'm assuming you mean a specific branch and not the entire thing. If, by chance, you're talking about how I said we should elect a new mayor next turn to remove the corruptibility, I see no reason not to discuss it. It seems like the obvious course of action to me, but if it's silenced before anyone responds, it could possibly be forgotten and/or seen as a redundancy later, something the corrupt would likely want. (To be clear, I'm not saying you're Fain, complaining about that is much too obvious a move for him. Still, would like some rationale behind your decision to end discussion on a topic so early)Oh, and as for the Elims having a channeler, there's not much we can do. We don't know their hypothetical identity or their target, so we can't really protect against them. Chances are, they'll die more quickly than a regular elim though, if only because they have 2 ways to die (their Warder and themselves)
  20. If you have a good narration voice, you could narrate a landscape panorama of a red sun over barren hills, perhaps with a distant ashmount, then swing over to an over-the shoulder shot of a noble with a parasol watching laboring skaa, plus a few other clips that I haven't had time to try and think of yet. The narration could be something like: "What happens when the hero loses? When the world is left broken and burned, under a sky of ash and a scalding red sun? When the villan claims the laughter and joy of the world for himself and his chosen few? Where one hero fails, another must rise. A new hero, one who can match the strength of society's greatest but is not bound by the same chains. What happenes when a slave has powers they shouldn't even know exist, powers that have and will be killed for again and again? Instincts tempered by a life of theivery and betrayal, strength drawn from the past and their hope of a future. That, my friends, is the birth of a revolution" Edit: Whoops, only read the OP. I'll head back to the drawing board, trying to think of some plot related ideas. Oh, and I think I saw your "Introduce Yourself" post. Have you checked out the song I reccomended? Slightly off topic: Assuming infinite resources, this is what I'd personally love to make using that:
  21. Or he intentionally asked a question like that in public specifically to give that impression. For example, last LG one of the Elims (Winter, IIRC) asked questions in thread that they could have asked in PMs or the doc to play some mind games Edit: All of the ninja's . That was meant in reply to Elodin, if you couldn't tell
  22. Honestly, I'd reccomend a new mayor regardless of my suspicions or lack thereof, if only to keep them from being converted
  23. Oh! This being my first LG, I thought the night cycle was PMs only. Didn't even realize this thread existed. Ok, I'm going to try to catch up on some stuff posted here. Whoops.
