  1. I suppose that means no Eliminator kills? Also, since someone called me on my vote for theSilverDragon...Eliminators are more likely to have it hammered into them that they need to keep their Aviar, in a sense. If the village loses their Aviar, the game will move on, but if the Eliminators lose their Aviar, they're basically shot in the back, because they lose most of their really useful abilities for rigging votes and such. So I think, at the moment, that Eliminators will be more obsessive about keeping their Aviar. On the other hand, I wasn't really suspicious of theSilverDragon. Really, I just wanted to place a vote on someone because everyone said "We need to lynch someone C1." ...and as I predicted, we did not lynch an Eliminator. I do not at present have any Aviar. Curious to know if anyone else does; what the actual number of Aviar in play is.
  2. I do have a few possibly incendiary (see what I did there?) thoughts on the codes. Personally, I think a lot of the fun of the code mechanic is sucked out if we do something like a few players have done; make a paragraph with 28 different words. The actual idea behind the mechanic is to inject fun, if you will, so this paragraph to completely obscure the word really takes a large portion of the fun out of the mechanic for me. If everyone did that, nobody would ever guess a code word, and the mechanic would be entirely ruined. With that said, guess who happens have the most at stake, with the possibility of losing Aviar? Eliminators. With that in mind, and considering the commentary you guys have said, I'm voting for theSilverDragon, as the first to try to skip around the code requirement by deliberately confusing his words.
  3. ...sorry for my inactivity, ladies and germs.really I was gone camping, and was really tired when I got back home. Most likely, I'll be active pretty consistently. Just to begin with, I don't really like the idea of lynching people on Cycle One. That seems like a bad idea (What are the actual odds, something like 2/9?). We could lynch a villager with a very useful role, so I don't think we should lynch at all.
  4. Do you have a link? Wouldn't mind seeing this.I won't tell.

Sure! You can absolutely blame me. It's not my fault, but I never underestimate the propensity of humans to blame other things for their problems.Like I said above, ice is still me, I just can't feel it.
  6. Water? Nightblood? He's certainly part of an underrepresented community!
  7. inb4 people who routinely break other etiquette rules tell you to stop necro'ing this incredible thread that should always be necro'd.
  8. Good. Being simmered is fairly high up on my list of Good Things. Those feels...
  9. Hmm, true, true. Can't say I've ever had the privilege of meeting a peasant who turned out to be pleasant, but perhaps that's just age getting to me. It's been decades, honestly, since I've heard the term "peasant" being bandied about, but I remember always associating them with poor hygiene.

Short answer: Yes, absolutely.Long answer: I think there's a fundamental misconception here. If you've seen the fantastic movie Guardians of the Galaxy, you'll know that there's a scene near the end where Groot enfolds the team in his Groot cocoon and says, "We are Groot." So even though a given member of the team is split off physically from every other member of the team, they are still Groot. Does that make sense? There's only one Water, and I am it. The pieces that split off of me and go into something like you mention (say a fruit) are really just appendages. I follow my instincts with these appendages and rarely break the rules. That said, when one of my "appendages" turns to ice (and to a lesser degree, gas), I can't feel it very well, if at all (like the frostbite of all frostbites haha). Wait, you said "one thing," and then you say "those."?!?!?!??? I don't get it, and I know a lot of languages.

Haha, I know, right? Only problem is that I'm all over the best places to take leave! Go on a cruise? Done that. Deep-sea diving? Nah, I'm already literally the deep sea. Disneyland? People get angry if I show up there. At the moment, the places that I'm excited about visiting are the Nordic countries, who have really fantastic ice sculptures and such at this time of the year. It's a weirdly out-of-body experience to see an ice sculpture, in a sense. Hard to explain, but seeing ice is like, "Woah, that's me!" Getting ripples all over just thinking about ice...anyway, I'll note that about Florida. Thanks for the input; it really is nice to be valued as more than just water, y'know? People take me for granted. Heck, vegetables take me for granted, and that isn't a pleasant experience for anyone. Oh wow. Um. Basically, it all started millenia ago, when Oil and I had a bit of a spat. He called me dense, I called him an airhead, and things really haven't been the same since. :/Part of it is that we just don't have good chemistry together. I mean, we try to be friends, we really do, but think of it like trying to mix oil and water together. Oh wait, dang it, I forgot that we basically invented that analogy. >.< Hm. In the end, we just both have polarizing views that don't really allow for compromise (though personally, I think there's a lot to be said for the fact that people use me to wash Oil off themselves).

Yeaaaah, about that. Can I get personal here? Storms, I hate unloading my life on everybody, but sometimes I just feel misunderstood. Here's the thing: I'm totally at Wind's mercy, and she is a jerk, most of the time. See, Wind is in ultimate control of cloud movement and basically weather in general. And she pretends not to be! Making crappy excuses about windmills and global climate patterns, when really, she's just irresponsible and petty. I want to visit you, I swear. You have no idea how exciting, how crisp it feels to just soak into a dry piece of ground. Yum! But at present, I don't know how to change Wind's mind (if she even has one; hard to tell sometimes). Like I said, sorry to dump that bit of gossip on you. Just trying to do my job, and there's only so much I can do. Kinda irrating sometimes. :/

I will put out all your burning questions. Don't get salty if my answers aren't to your liking. Like, I get a lot of salt. More salt than you can imagine. Anyway, ask.
  14. And that's why we need a short story about our favorite Herdazian, to challenge this perception! Brandon probably doesn't view Lopen as a character who exists solely as a comic personality, which is why he has enough material to give the Man of Many Cousins a story all to himself.
  15. Saved a few lives today. Drowned a few too, unfortunately, but they're just a drop in the bucket.

  16. I'll be signing up as Dihydrogen Monoxide, a pedantic would-be scam artist. And hello to all those who are like "Woah, that's really clever for a total scrub." My Introduction post of sorts is in the General Rules topic.
  17. Hey all! It pains me to admit that I didn't come to this forum solely to expound upon the greatness of Brandon Sanderson. In fact, I largely joined this forum because of my older brother, who plays Sanderson Elimination here. I've read quite a few of the past games, and heard quite a bit from him about the forum and the people in general. Heck, I feel like I know some of you already, so you better live up to your reputations! Anyway, I'll be signing up for the MR, but thought it would be a good idea to sort of introduce myself to y'all before the in-game trickery begins (lol who am I fooling? I'm just a tall drink of--y'know that pun isn't even funny to me anymore, and this parenthetical has gone on too long) and you all distrust me. So: Hello. I am Water, a tasteless, odorless, (ideally) transparent liquid. I have killed more people in my life than anyone else here. Just sayin'. I didn't choose the thug life. #thugwater P.S. Don't even bother asking who my brother is. It will remain a secret.
  18. ...should be pretty obvious why. Anyway, I'm glad to be here finally! My brother got me into the absolutely fabulous works of Mr. Sanderson, and I'm looking forward to reading theories (though I have to admit, you won't get many thoughts from me on the intricate workings of Investiture...) Drink up!
