What if he was allomancer Jak? It’s never said which Noble house Jak is from other than he is just a Noble, and him being a Tineye kinda seems rare (in relation to their appearance in Era 2 in general, not rare as in the world, as pointed out below Ranette makes bullets to take down Tineyes) cause I don’t know any other tineyes to exist in Era 2. The goggles/glasses he wears could be Spooks modern version of his blindfolds and all the mentions of him in era 2 don’t seem to mention him wearing the blindfold anymore at all, he could still look like he’s just in his 30’s if he’s stored up enough atium before he stepped down after his 100 year rule cause it again doesn’t mention him looking old or even dying. This could explain Jaks choice of fashion to wear a mist cloak and a lawman’s hat like Wax, as he could be influenced by not only Era 1 characters he looked up to who all wore mistcloaks, but also would show that influence of those he looked up to carried over to the Era 2 character who he was inspired by to start a “Gentlemen Adventurer” arc of, Wax. Him being completely out of the Era 2 books with just the few passing mentions (none of which confirming he died of old n literally saying he actually didn’t age normally) is sitting weird with me and I can only assume as more time passes from my post Last Metal depression that there was more to him going on in this time that isn’t mentioned. Unless Brandon confirmed he died and I missed it (which is entirely possible as it’s been 6 years and I didn’t not keep up with the series updates and focused entirely on Stormlight lol) I’m going to assume that if the is a secret histories 2 than we might see more of spook but tbh it’s like 50/50 gut feeling/ manifesting characters I’m nostalgic for. (Say it with me everyone, “There is always another secret”)

I don’t see anyone posting it so I was wondering does anyone else think Timber is Eshonai? To me this would make that book work very well with a sister sister dual POV. Does anyone else think Eshonai was that bright spren under her body? Maybe it takes a Parsh to die bonded to a spren of power to be reborn. Ps who else is getting tempted to say “into the weave of the wheel” after saying reborn? Cause I’m feelin it, I’m feelin it.

I mean just that, I know that the StormFather was a spren before honor died and that makes me wonder if shards can have spren without dying, and brings us back to that philosophical question, does fire attract flame spren or do Flame spren attract fire. As for the SF bonding more than one I feel that it's most likely and because it is it can go the same for Cultivation, and yes even Odium. I know it doesn't make sense that any radiant would be of Odium but he is a shard all the same and so if Honor and Cultivation could influence the creation of spren such as SF and the NW, I don't see why Rayse couldn't do the same (We already know that he'll have a champion of his own who's to say that champion won't be another bondsmith bonded to Odiums spren). Of course though this is all riding a lot on assuming the Nightwatcher is Cultivations spren. As for the part where they say only one BS stayed in Urithiru I think that could still make sense to my theory, it would seem likely that the BS bonded to Honor would stay and do their duty (and eventually be called back once a new BS was bonded to Honor as we see with Dalinar) while the other two did their own things on Roshar. Also though if it turns out there can be more than 3 BS then this whole arguements out the window lol.

I'm re listening to Words of Radiance and one of the descriptions about bondsmiths in the WoR's prefaces is that Bondsmiths only had 3 of their number, and it's made to seem that's the only number they kept. We've seen that the StormFather is alive where other spren have disappeared, is it possible these bondsmiths each have to bond the spren of a shard? Alluding to why there can only be 3 at a time. Also I don't remember at the moment how many honreater peaks there are but reading a recent post that says the peaks are in a the Oathgate deadzone it's made me wonder if it's likely that there are 3 peaks, each being a grave for bondsmiths or even a shards host. The thing about the peak hot springs or "Oceans" as Rock calls them, they very much remind me of the Shard pools from Elantris. This theory doesn't have much ground but it feels like every time I rethink about it, the more it makes some sense.

Just cause you have a lot doesn't mean it's all good. Taking the bus is like watching a tv show. -
People do tend to blow up more than usual around him though natc... So it holds some merit Lol

Yes I'm more so wondering Who he is really, as cool as a name as Allomacer Jak is in pretty sure it's not the one he was born with. Lol isn't he a Mistborn? Cause I've been confused if he uses different allomantic powers in his various broadsheet articles. For the first two Wax and Wayne novels I thought he was a fictional character someone wrote (like a meta Mistborn Sherlock Holmes being written by a Mistborn version of Arthur Doyle who lived in Elendale then moved to the roughs). It wasn't till BoM when I read from Wax where he thinks to himself "at least that fella Jak actually went out". That thought he has to himself made me think that, the reason why Allomacer Jak hates Wax so much isn't simply just the author of Allomancer Jak name dropping a Famously known Lawman who embodies 'gentlemen adventures', but because Wax and Jak have actually met before. Honestly Allomancer Jak's identity and possible existence was already a bother to me the past two books, now it's just gonna torment me all year lol

Hoid's book can't come soon enough lol I for one sure am excited to see Spankys story to becoming a floating cognitive ship! I'm not sure if it's likely Hoid's plan is to take Adonalsium power for himself, maybe rebuilding the power, maybe. Perhaps if the 17th shard was okay with the shards becoming their own entities (I.e. Frost seems content with them killing Ado and taking the powers), than it would make sense that Hoid's plan is to repair the investitures, just seeing how he's going against the 17th shard passive aggressively lol. I for one would defiantly like to see Hoid coming to respect Kelsier and him bringing Kel in on whatever Hoid's goal is, because seeing just how savage Hoid can get in this book, it's put a scale of awesomeness that I just need more of cause rust I had no idea what I was missing out on. Lol

Good points gentlemen, good points. I barely started/finished Hidden Secrets yesterday and I'm a little less sure of Walin now. I can't imagine a lot of people really missed Walin so yea, but I'm not still sure about Spook being spike controlled seeing how the Sovriegn and Spooks timelines after the catacandre run parallel. I know it's defiantly Kelsier now but I think with Spook in Elendale and Demoux being a worldhopper, he must've got his 'thread' from another person with a strong connection to Kel, and well I can still see Walin possibly being another person with a strong connection to Kelsier. At this points It's more so not the evidence, but the lack of it. Who knows, maybe Walin went crazy after Kel saved him and that left him cracked and open to Kels influence, that and the fact Kel saved him might make him even worship Kel like Demoux does. But like I said not so sure, just more interested in seeing that.

Maybe to communicate to the Survivor?
-
So I know everyone's invested on OneSpike-OneEye man being Kelsier or Spook, but I was wondering if anyone else wondered if it could possibly be Walin. My main reason for thinking this, is Walins seemingly sudden disappearance after his one chapter in Final Empire. Could it be possible that he made his way to the most southern of Scandriel after fleeing the Pitts the night of its destruction? Going and finding some secrets connecting to Trell. Other reasons are just the vague description of One eye. 1. He has Pitts of Hathsin Scars 2. He says the last Word Kelsier told him 3. The way he speaks this word to the masked people seems like he understands the hope it can give them. Maybe cause he had the words spoken to him by a certain survivor?(I know this 3rd one is kind of just a stretch of my 2nd but I read into things that likely aren't there most times lol)

I have a theory (with no real evidence lol) that nahelbond spren are created by fragments of someone's soul when they die. In turn maybe Syl is somehow powered by Tiens soul/spirit. On a side note, Storms! How bout that Michael Kramer huh!? Lol I read WoK before listening to Michael Kramers narration of Mistborn WoA, after which I had the immediate urge to listen to WoK, and even WoR before getting the chance to actually read it. By Damnation, I think he should be Sandersons official Narrator of all his Cosmere books lol
-
This was a great topic lol I was rereading WoR early this week and I was thinking if Ym truly was a Truthwatcher, than perhaps he gained this view of the Cosmere through 'Seeing in all worlds' with his abilities. I think if Yms personality was influenced by these powers, than it would be cool to possibly see Renarin fall into that type of Ym attitude, or maybe even make contact with Ym and other Truthwatchers that have died, some how. I'm just saying Truthwatchers powers are pretty vague lol and it'd be cool if they had an understanding of the Cosmere mirroring The ghostbloods or 17th shard.

theory [Bands Spoiler] Identity of the One-Eye Spike Man
JosephOfHathsin replied to CaptainRyan's topic in Mistborn
On a sidenote, we never found out what happened to Walin, the survivor that Kelsier saves the nigh the destroyed the Pits. He would surely have the same scars hmm? -
I could imagine this going either way, maybe no ones ever discovered Down syndrome. Maybe they just call it being simple. Personally I like to think Tien was a dormant radiant like Kaladin but he was a little more natural at it, maybe a truthwatcher? Interesting side note the only Truthwatcher we know, Renarin, has been confirmed by Sanderson to be slightly on 'The Autism Spectrum'.
