Taravangian because I really like him as a villain, and his character premise is very interesting. Plus I think it's going to be interesting how he plays out in the later books. Cody is cool, and I really like him, but he's not as interesting to me as good old Mr T.

Welcome to the shard For recommendations, I would highly recommend Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings series of series (there really needs to be a word for this), starting with The Farseer Trilogy. It has a large world, interesting characters as well as a large, overall plot that runs in the background of all of the books. Plus, dragons and tree cities (any combination of those will get me every time). Another good series is the Discworld series. It's written VERY differently to most fantasy books, and indeed most adult books in general, but it's a great series (albeit a bit confusing) with interesting characters, great dialogue and they are hilarious and quirky, both in writing and the premises. But, despite the humorous facade, they can get pretty deep. Also, avoid all cookies and such, they are spiked and will Ruin everything (capitalised on purpose)

That was the same with me, but looking back on it, Shallan's sexuality does make sense. With Jasnah, personally I'm going for a combination of her inner feminist and aro/ace (probably a good portion of that is me wanting more a-spec character representation in books, but I think it is a viable option)

I'm going Breeze because I enjoyed his character more than Spook's, whose character I didn't really get engaged in until HoA. Breeze's characters and powers were interesting to me, especially when his softer side was revealed. Plus, make heaps of noise, and tin is nullified.

I'm not sure if anybody has read Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings (if you haven't, I highly recommend it), but there are several striking similarities between The Fool and Hoid. Firstly, in the first series, he's, well, a court fool, and like another character I know, he seems quite good at insulting people.... Then, they're both concerned with a wider picture for the worlds that they live in, and actively seek to change it. Also, great at disguises. Also...Ned Stark and Dalinar.... Honorable leaders? Tick. Veteran warriors? Tick. Sticking to the old, now unconventional ways? Tick. Father figure(ish) to somebody who isn't their son? Tick.

I'm going with Nightblood because I just found him really enjoyable to read, especially in the way he sees the world. As well as that, I feel like I don't completley know Vasher, so Nightblood it is!

I'm going to have to go with Marsh for this one, and since I'm going off character rather than fighting skills, I really liked Marsh's character arc in how he did such terrible things because he was forced too, but then found a way to rebel even for that sing moment which drastically changed the outcome. And Lift...well, something always bugged me about her...
