Spook did seem to think that having old people kill themself to make Hemalurgic spikes was a 10 out of 10 idea. Thats a very Set like mentality.

Seems to me hed lost his mind to ruin before he and leras ever even created scadrial/life on scadrial. since he assumes hes somewhere else. -
chucking cesium in water can be comparable to a small explosive, Franicum could probably blow a room apart but its so unstable it pretty much cant exist.

Secret History Reactions [Secret History Spoilers]

I found it almost lovecraftian. kelsier wandering alone in this dark, silent and misty world where the sky is blotted out by a dark writhing mass of tentacles that are the form of an evil god. A realm of the mind, where the only people he can speak to are the insane. -
theory [Bands Spoiler] Identity of the One-Eye Spike Man
Full Metal Rithmatist replied to CaptainRyan's topic in Mistborn
Im almost inclined to think hes some kind of schizophrenic TLR/Kelsier hybrid. Only having the one eye spiked almost gives a weird impression of having 2 halves/faces to me and he does seem to have not only become fullborn but also posesses all of TLRs knowledge on how the arts work. Ofc he could of got that off harmony but hey. -
saz/ces ium. its almost genius. Cesium is pretty much the only alkali metal that EXPLODES in water to rather than just burns.
-
Also given that a lot of things in the newspaper ( broadsheet ) printed in the book have been relevant to the story somehow - one of the things on the broadsheet is "does harmony have a metal ?"
-
Its common enough that it pretty much has to be native to scadrial

[BoM Spoilers] How Many Twinborn Have There Been?
Full Metal Rithmatist replied to DSC01's topic in Mistborn
given how random things with this low of a sample size are i am 100% sure there are many combinations that have never existed at all. -
Is it just me that finds a great deal of similarity between how the Godking describes how he sees the world and how wax sees the world when holding the bands. Im wondering if that distortion of perception might have something to do with how much investiture you possess. though i would say the god king posesses much less power than a fullborn then again it could just be a side effect of the level of tin power wax is burning. Its pretty loose but ehhhh....ya know.

Given how powerful the bands makes wax ( how the hell did they kill TLR i mean cmon now ) it got me thinking. A knight radiant has 20% of one magic system. A mistborn has 100% of a shards magic system. and we know 100% is not equal to just 5 x 20% since having multiple powers creates EXTRA effects. and a fullborn has 2 entire magic systems at his disposal. It would seem a fullborn is far and away VASTLY more powerful than pretty much anyone else at this point. Steelrunning + seer alone would probably allow you to murder half an army of radiants. Without event taking compounding into the mix. TLdR, scadrians are OP.

Given that the metal directly provides the POWER to fuel allomancy itself ( since all the other metals do not provide power themself )and presumably the only thing that can power allomancy is the power of preservation so the only metal that could therefore directly power allomancy would be lerasium, a lerasium alloy or harmonium. one must assume for now at least that the metal is harmonium. This seems more likely to me as reading the newspaper articles printed in the book it would seem there is currently no word for harmonium in the northern language, thus why the word ettmetal would not translate. Still its all guessing at this point.

So why exactly is Nightblood so stupendously overpowered?
Full Metal Rithmatist replied to kroen's topic in Warbreaker
I would argue that normally the command to "destroy evil" would be to abstract to work, but the reason it worked is the sheer power that was behind the command and that the intent of the creator was so well formed it kind of "brute forced" the process into working. And as a result the awakening made nightblood sentient as that was the only possible way for the awakened object ( nightblood ) to have any hope of fulfilling the command. as distinguishing evil REQUIRES full sentience. He became sentient as that was the only way to fulfill the command. -
BRANDON SANDERSON His bead? Hoid’s bead was—He originally got it because he wanted to be an Allomancer. [Note that he doesn’t actually answer the question.] He wasnt an allomancer when he got the bead, but brandon doesnt commit on whether he actually used it for that or not.

Perhaps Shardplate is formed of multiple minor spren. Like the cloud of windspren that follow kaladin when he flys, maybe they will become his armour. it seems unlikely the armour is a single spren given that it can be dismantled into multiple pieces.

Yes hoid states to the effect that the book was written by a woman and isnt it funny all the male arts involve getting stabbed and the female ones involve sitting around having fun

Bondsmiths as "divine" ambassadors
Full Metal Rithmatist replied to Full Metal Rithmatist's topic in Cosmere Discussion
And as the stormfather seems in charge of bonds, and the name BONDsmith, it would make thematic sense for them all to be bound the stormfather. Whats interesting then is why was it considered seditious to try and increase the number of bondsmiths ? would it put the stormfather under some kind of strain ? and what does that make the bondsmiths ? Recruiters ? that would make sense given that the bondsmiths patron herald founded the knights radiant as dalinar himself is being tasked with again. -
Bondsmiths as "divine" ambassadors
Full Metal Rithmatist replied to Full Metal Rithmatist's topic in Cosmere Discussion
upon rereading ive noticed the sentence says "their spren WAS" not "their spren WERE" which is a singular way of saying it so yes i think the bondsmiths were all bound to the stormfather. -
