What if it has something to do with strange power the IRE seemed to be tapping from the shard world kelsier seen when he touched there fortress. Maybe the power of a shard who's holders name is Vax? Just speculating here but maybe Ati was sensing Vax's power kelsier absorbed from the sphere device.

makes since because shard pools are where shards power accumulates when no one is holding them and Sazed is currently holding that powerHere be quote in quote form

IMHO the term subastral meaning literally terestrial or (below the stars) refers to each planets individual versions of the cognitive realm.I also think part of it may be because the Well was underground. That is how I interpret Hoid's use of subastral, as analogous to subterranean. I suspect that at ground level there is less danger of falling through, or at least more chance to catch yourself.

they probably follow the canals to the ocean. Then simply walk off Scadrial.Yeah, but Khriss and Nazh were on the lake outside of Luthadel. Wouldn't they have needed to cross the real-world ground to get out of Scadrial's Cognitive Realm?

Further the reason they can't say for certainty when the high storm will be is do to the immense complexity of the pattern.

I'm not sure exactly but I think they analyze the patterns of previous high storms to determine future ones. It seemed to me there was very complex pattern that one could only see by reviewing high storm activity over a long period of time.

Would a Kandra posing as a Listener be able to attune the Listener rhythms ?

Thanks CognitivePulsePattern that's another great point!Still, the parshendi are strongly connected to the Cognitive Realm, and Jasnah compared their drums to the rattling of the beads in shadesmar, so perhaps their rhythms can influence the Cognitive Realm and human minds throught it.

That's right ok so is it something the ardents started during Hierocracy? Or were they doing that before than? Or something that slowly evolved over time?

Where/when does this tradition originate? Is there any correlation between it and males not being allowed to read or wright? They are both imposed handy caps one physical the other mental. It seems like some one at some point instituted these traditions as a means of control or subjugation.

I'm curios as to how there's two types of hybrids resulting from there interbreeding? Is there a third progenitor in the mix somewhere?

Szeth believes it's a result of to much wine but I'm not sure it seems like they are all a little to captivated by the music. We've seen other parties with Alethi drinking and they don't seem like the type to let loose like that.

I don't think the TH is Yolen because it is said the almighty was cast out of the TH after the last desolation which I believe was way after the breaking on Yolen and dispersion of shards thru out the Cosmere.

During the Alethi party in the beginning of both books Szeth notes how the Alethi elite are at first hesitant to hear the Parshendi music but soon after hearing it lose all sense of propriety and decorum and begin dancing and partying with abandon and Jasnah seems to be absorbed in the music when she decides to halt the assassination of Elhokar's wife and play it safe for a while. One has to wonder if the music was influencing the emotions of those in attendance and if the Parshendi musicians were there to render the Alethi more docile in order for Szeth to have more success in his assassination of the King

Why is there two different types of off shoots of the same interbreeding Herdazian and horneater?

Shallan's eyes are blue, and the Lightweaver's stone is a garnet. Although I suppose maybe since she was already a Lighteyes, her eye color didn't change to that of her order.
