  1. Three people died at the end of C2: Amanuensis, Meta, and Conquestor. Joe claimed that he killed Meta, and Conquestor was lynched. Interestingly, the writeup said Amanuensis and Meta "have died", not that they were "written out of the game", so they weren't killed with a Death Note. I don't believe Joe's claim that he killed Meta C2. This shows that he wasn't truthful with at least one bit of information he told the village. He promised to be truthful about everything except Rem's identity, but this is Sanderson Elimination, a game of murder and deceit, where eliminators will lie through their teeth and enjoy it. Leaving Joe alive is a bad idea. However, we shouldn't waste our lynch killing him, because that would stagnate what little discussion we could have in the next two hours. I'll just repeat my request here: if you are the murderer and you get the kill, please target Joe. Keeping him alive will do us no favors. Going through Hellscythe's posts: Not at lot of activity. He put a lot of effort emphasizing his ethernet issues, even said that DC, Luna, and Mailliw would also confirm if we didn't believe him, which seemed excessive at the time, because when someone here says they have RL issues and can't play, we believe them. He might have been afraid that people would see his drop of activity and think it was suspicious. He also offered himself up for the lynch if he stayed inactive. He poke voted Weaving Webs for inactivity C2. C3 he voted for Joe and said "the only thing Joe is going to be left alive to do is misdirect the village away from Ryuk." He also said that Joe could be Ryuk.
  2. Mail also claimed Murderer to me. Joe, who did you kill, and why? Every single person I've been in a PM with except for Joe has died. I suspect a conspiracy... Ryuk and Rem both killed people who voted for Joe, so I'm guessing they want him alive. I nominate Joe for the murderer kill.
  3. I feel like somewhere, Joe and Ryuk are watching this debate and laughing at us. According to Alvron: The GM himself says there are no secret rules or mechanics in this game. Even if you don't trust Alvron's word, keep in mind that one of the responsibilities of a GM is to run a balanced game, and this is not a Joe game, this is an Alvron game, and as a GM Alvron must keep the game balanced. We may have disruptive roles like demolitionists, but those are secret roles, not rules. Joe is making things up to stay alive.
  4. Police Chase Kira, 1 Dead By Arre Anae TOKYO -- Kira stabbed a police officer to death at Shin-Yokohama Raumen Museum and was pursued by police into Ota, where he escaped on Tuesday night, Tokyo Metropolitan Police Chief Akihiro Itami said. An hour later, Kira broadcast a message throughout the city, offering to “be gods together of this new world [he was] making”. “It was horrible,” Kiyomi Sato said, who witnessed the stabbing with her boyfriend and called the police. “Kira kept on screaming at the officer as he attacked. He looked like a madman.” At a press conference Wednesday, Itami said the slain police officer, known as M, may have been involved in illicit dealings with Kira and other criminals, which may have been a motive for his death. M was declared dead at the scene. Sato describes Kira as a muscular man 1.8 meters tall, with black hair and a short beard. He was last seen wearing a bloody t-shirt and cargo pants. Kira’s location is unknown, though police suspect that he is hiding in southern Tokyo. If you see Kira, please dial 110 or Tokyo Times hotline 090-3340-2599. EDIT: Rikku reread the last paragraph of the article. 1.8 meters tall, black hair, beard, and cargo pants. That sounded like Joseph. ****. Please don't actually call either of those numbers to report sightings of Joe.
  5. Joe. Leaving eliminators alive is never good for the village. We already have 2 cycles of interaction to look at, and anything Joe says now has to be taken as an IKYK -- is he trying to give up Ryuk, or is he trying to make us think that player is Ryuk, or is he trying to make us think that he is trying to make us think that player is Ryuk?
  6. Rikku walked with Hal's bloody umbrella clenched a few centimeters over her head. Six years of a perfect record when shoplifting, marred by a link to a homicide she'd never even witnessed. And M was going to use it to blackmail her into doing what he wanted. Her boots echoed against the cement. She wanted to pull a Joseph, to yell and scream and punch something into oblivion. Instead she held it in and walked. She didn't know where she was headed, and didn't care. Rikku turned left, and found herself at the door of her flat. She fished in her purse for a key, then unlocked the door. She walked into her room, then locked the door and stuffed a door wedge into the crack between her and the rest of the world. There. Let the others deal with M and Kira. They couldn’t get to her if she refused to leave the room. Rikku tossed Hal’s umbrella away from her, next to a pile of white UNIQLO shopping bags. Then she plopped onto her bed and closed her eyes. She couldn’t sleep. Even in her bedroom, Rikku could feel M’s eyes on her. Watching. Waiting. Calculating. It made her skin crawl. “**** you, M,” Rikku said to the ceiling. Venting felt good. "**** you and Interpol and Kira." She lay in bed for a while longer, then sat up and grabbed her iPad. She needed to buy a plane ticket. Kira was everywhere, but maybe she could get away from M. If anybody on M's side wants to mess with Rikku or her iPad, please do.
  7. Guessing secret roles is one of many paths to madness. Please, I advise you not to try. If you need to be reduced to a gibbering idiot who's seen too much of the abyss, Alvron will be happy to oblige you.
  8. Joe's plan feels off to me, especially what he said last cycle: Joe's plan calls for someone to be publicly confirmed and to announce L's findings, which would create a public trust group. L's scan wouldn't be able to distinguish between Ryuk, a holder, or a murderer, but might create a very cozy group of publicly confirmed civilians and police officers. A group that people would look to for plans, lynches, suspicions, and more. This is Joe's plan: At the end of MR13, Joe, who was an eliminator, said this: There are no safe roles in this game, but L can confirm people, and L cannot be converted. People can fakeclaim L (at least two different people have claimed to be L), but it's impossible for an eliminator to pull of a traitor kandra as L -- in fact, a fake L will give themselves away by scanning a murderer as innocent. Within a few cycles, the real L will be able to build up a cozy trust group, especially with a list of police and murderer claims from Joe. People will automatically flock to the publicly revealed and bandwagon behind them like they would bandwagon behind a mayor, which Joe detests. This is not the action of a villager.
  9. Rikku read over her files again. Rikku Nakusora, of interest to an ongoing criminal investigation for a homicide of three years ago. No picture included. ****. She hadn't done it. They had her ******* fingerprints, even one of the aliases she'd started using ever since Kira was a thing. "Burn now?" Sumiko asked. "Light them up," Joseph said. Rikku looked at the files again. They had her name, her fingerprints, even a list of some of the places she'd lived in, all for a crime that she hadn't committed. The words on the file jumped out at her against her will. Of interest to an ongoing criminal investigation of a serial killer. Kira killed people for less than that, and as if that wasn't enough, she regularly stole from retail all over Tokyo. She couldn't help but think back to Joseph's accusations that M would happily give Kira their information to further his goals, or that M was Kira... Rikku ripped the files in half. Then again, and again, and again, until paper the size of coins fluttered out of her hands. "I'm out," she said. Then she turned and left. EDIT: What was the Ripple Effect thing that El claimed? Ripple was village at the time that she was lynched for the word mixup. Are you also implying that it was a village mistake?
  10. Keep in mind that murders are also scanned as "guilty". People can figure out who L is by comparing the list of the "scanned" against the list of people who they know will be scanned as guilty. Ex: DC is a noteholder. I fakescan him and post my results inthread of him being scanned innocent. Now DC knows that I can't be L unless I am deliberately posting wrong results, which is unlikely because it would also give the village false results that they will use when I die. What would L do if they scanned someone as guilty? Post it inthread and just leave it? What if they're the only person who finds someone guilty? That would be a huge tip that their scan is legitimate. Perhaps it's fortunate because it means we can't be lazy and wait for L to catch an eliminator. Or maybe because Hal is Ryuk and it would be very fortunate for him. Or maybe his fingers just forgot to type the "un" before the "fortunately".
  11. DC. As Lopen and El said, what he posted wasn't very useful. Discussion doesn't happen through people sitting back and staying quiet in the hopes that someone will bring up a useful topic, it comes up by being that person to bring up a useful topic, or commenting on that topic. Discussion doesn't magically pop out of nowhere. Either this that was an unhelpful village post, or an eliminator trying to discredit the discussion we're currently having. If I've missed an option, feel free to put it in here, but neither of those are good things.
  12. ****, Joseph was scary. Rikku stepped back as he shouted into Elbe's face. She hadn't seen things like that, M treating them all like disposable chess pieces, but it made sense. Too much sense. "If you agree to help M, write as muchon a piece of paper in your room. He'll see," Elbe said. Rikku looked around at the others. Maybe...maybe working with M wasn't such a good idea. "Since you all don't care for these records, I'm sure our resident pyromaniac would love to do the honors." "Wait!" Rikku said. "I want to see what Interpol says about me." Joe. I'm still suspicious of you, but it's more gut than any specific reason. So many brackets in this post. Writting M with fancy formatting over and over is painful on a phone. EDIT: and the formatting didn't even work!
