What WoBs are you talking about? If what you are basing this on is Jasnah's Soulcasting, I would argue that she she simply could have been careful enough to only Soulcast things based on the gems she had to keep her cover, even if she didn't have to. I can't remember anything from when Shallan Soulcasts to necessarily support this, but I could be wrong.

What? I'm assuming this girl doesn't know much about fantasy or A Song of Ice and Fire, because I definitely would not call it easier than Mistborn. In a lot of ways it's more difficult, since Mistborn pretty much takes place in one city instead of having different viewpoints jump around the country and across the ocean. If she really wanted something easier, I would commend the Inheritance Cycle(which I read when I was twelve), or just go with some classic Lord of the Rings. Also, the phrase she has Mistborns in her house made me imagine Vin and Kelsier hiding in her closet.

I agree with this. I also think that every oath gets progressively more difficult for the night. Each oth we've seen so far has been pretty basic. Wanting to protect the innocent is basically a requirement for attracting an Honorspren. Same for the first oath of Bondsmiths and Edgedancers. The next oath, protecting those you hate, Kal has a lot more trouble with. This is also seen with Shallan's truths. Admitting she killed her father was not nearly as difficult as admitting she killed her mother. I think this pattern will hold for all the oaths of all the orders. Also, shouldn't this topic be in Stormlight Archives?

When you read another book with a character named Shallan and get confused every time she is described as blond.
