Ohh....well now I feel dumb lol. For some reason, I thought the Five Scholars thing was before the Manywar. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

So I have started rereading Warbreaker, and as I go through the book,I have also been reading the annotations for each chapter. I noticed in the annotations for Chapter 22 that Clod is Arsteel (which I had noticed on my first read), and that Jewels loved Arsteel. My question is with Arsteel being killed by Vasher before the Manywar, 300 years before the events of Warbreaker, how could Jewels have been alive long enough to have loved and known him before his death? I know that Jewels is a drab, which leaves them with a weakened immune system. Is there a quality about drabs that keep them alive or am I missing something?

Congrats! I remember my black belt testing years ago, it was so stressful but was a great feeling when I passed.

Today was one of those days where my loneliness and depression hit hard. Since I've moved last year I haven't made any new friends (I'm extremely shy with new people) so days like Halloween where I see everyone having fun out and about just made me want to go curl up in a ball of sadness. Anyways, going to go back to rereading Elantris, but I just wanted to say this somewhere.

After catching up on WoT with Towers, I wanted to see what books that Sanderson had out, which is where I saw the praise for Mistborn. And I've never looked back.

Essays are the worse, even if it's something that flows out quickly, it takes a couple hours to write a good, comprehensive one..

Hmm...Kelsier. I don't think Marsh would have the heart to kill Kelsier, whereas Kelsier might kill Marsh so he no longer has to live as an Inqusitior.

That Flash cliffhanger was great, really interested to see where they go with it. Arrow has been so much better this season imo. I feel like its been more consistent, and Darhk has been an excellent villain so far. Terrifying, charismatic, and well acted. My only gripes so far are the flashbacks, which just haven't pulled me in yet, and Laurel, who I feel has regressed (which I didn't think possible).

That's the problem with all nighters, they lull you into this false sense of security where you think you'll be okay for the day, then a Stormwall of tiredness hits you. lol

That newest episode gave me so many feels, was such a good episode. Anyone think this planet might be something from the Marvel universe or just a random planet?

My vote is for Vasher.

I totally understand not wanting to cause an escalation to the problem but if this is how he acts towards you, and you have younger sisters still living at home...I feel like some sort of intervention could be beneficial for the long term. I also second the suggestion for some sort of self defense just in case.

Been working the graveyard shift for 18 months, and got a new position that gets me on a normal daytime schedule! I won't be able to surf the Shard at work which is slightly depressing but I think this will be a more healthy change for me.

I read the comic that this is based on (Alias by Brian Michael Bendis) and this shows a lot of promise. I can't wait to see Tennant play the Purple Man, I've always wanted to see him do a full on villian role ever since Goblet of Fire.

I thought it was a solid opening episode, I think the show has a lot of promise so far. Can definitely feel the similarities to the CW shows due to Berlanti's influence.

I've been lurking on here forever, decided to finally make an account and join in on all the fun and theories. This book definitely lived up to the hype that I had created for myself over the last few months. Just random thoughts about the book, I was a huge fan of the increased presence of characters from the original trilogy. It was nice seeing Sazed come back, since he was probably my favorite character from the trilogy. Flawed as ever, and as someone had mentioned in a previous post, I also noticed the lack/question of faith connection between Sazed and Wax. Will be interesting to see how that pans out. Also, Soonie dogs. I nearly died laughing, between the idea of it and the obvious disdain that TenSoon had for it. I really want to see more of Steris in the next book. Her interactions throughout the series have been small in comparison to Marasi but she has really grown on me, with the epilogue being the icing on that cake. Also, really enjoyed the interactions between Wayne and MeLaan, hoping that gets expanded on as well in the future books in this trilogy. I figured the governor was somehow involved in the attempted fall of the city but I was leaning towards the governor being a secret Set agent, especially once Edwarn told Wax that Bleeder was working with the Set. Having the governor be Bleeder herself was a nice surprise. But the twist at the end with Bleeder having been Lessie the whole time, and that Harmony had sent her to protect Wax for years was shocking for me. I definitely didn't see that coming. And the line, "I killed her again." Way to stomp on my heart, Brandon. Cosmere stuff, yay another Shardpool! Can not wait to see the mystery unravel with the new metal as well. Hoping we won't have to wait a long time for answers to come to fruition with that one.

This is why I converted my file to pdf and put it on my Kindle. Found it a lot easier. I read it a couple months ago but this info makes me want to go back and re-read or at least skim and see what I can find.
