  1. Things like this is why I've hid certain family members from my FB feed. We are on completely opposite sides of the political spectrum when it comes to religion and international politics that it just isn't worth the effort. And my very conservative, political arguing Dad wonders why I don't call him often these days. I know it is harder to ignore when you live with them, but you'll get through it! Unfortunately, arguing about things like this is futile, just have to stay positive about your views and not let anyone bring those down.
  2. Finished WoR, thus ending my Cosmere reread. I'm now debating between GGK's Lions of Al-Rassan or Brian McClellan's Powder Mage trilogy. I'm leaning towards Lions but the last GGK book I read (TIgana) left my heart in pieces.
  3. If you dated Feanor, you know that life will never get boring. Lol
  4. I thought it was good. Compared to Jurassic Park 3 it was a masterpiece. Haha
  5. I've heard good things of Weeks but I haven't started his stuff, should I start with Black Prism or go with the Way of Shadows?
  6. I'm currently doing my first reread (I'm such a poor Sharder, I know) of WoR and I'm the same way. Normally with rereads I'm not too engaged with them, just reading casually. But I have devoured all the Cosmere books over again when I started with Mistborn in September. I had figured WoR would at least last me the week but at this rate, I'm not sure if it will.
  7. I always thought it was cool when driving through northern Arizona and you can see vultures circling in the air. You know something is dead out there! Probably a cow. Haha On a different note, I had no idea that if you ordered a book from Amazon, they would give you the eBook at a discount! I bought WoR again since my copy has seen better days plus the retconned ending that I didn't have, so spending only 3 bucks was pretty nice.
  8. Yeah this was sad news to wake up to. Everytime one of these attacks happen I get flashbacks of 9/11. I had recorded the soccer game that had been going on in Paris and you can hear one of the explosions going off on the telecast. Just insane, this world we live in.
  9. I have read the trilogy, Silmarillion and Hobbit, which I loved from a story standpoint. I always felt that Tolkien's worldbuilding was exceptional but his style just doesn't work for me. Two Towers was awesome, but Fellowship stands as my favorite. Probably the slowest but there were so many perfect scenes in that film. The entire Moria sequence is my favorite in the trilogy. And of course, Boromir and his death punched me right in the feels, was so well done. Dang it now I am in the mood for a rewatch! Haha
  10. Ok I will let you know if they do. I've tried Majesty chants at previous shows but they were unsuccessful. Haha I'm glad you had a good time, BG is such a religious concert experience, it is a shame they only tour every 4-5 years.
  11. This is what I'm doing right now for my show on the 22nd! How did you like the show?
  12. Yay lonely friends! This might be the greatest video I've seen all week. Lol! Ah, Lord of the Rings. The books are hit or miss for me, I find Tolkien's writing to be tedious at times but I really liked the Aragorn storyline throughout all 3 books, wasn't a big Frodo/Sam fan. I love the movies, probably my favorite movie series of all time. Extended editions are the way to go!
  13. I work overnight and this is my issue lol so much interesting conversation topics that I've missed the opportunity to contribute to.
  14. This is exactly how I've felt since I moved. People think I'm just this reclusive person and yes, I am a little shy but once I know you, I'll talk your ear off. Especially if we have some sort of common interest. I just feel so out of place living where I live. Hugs! We will get through it.
  15. This. First I was all, "Whaaat?!" then it was "oh come on!!" Yeah will be interesting to see where this goes.
  16. Lightsong, hands down. I always looked forward to his chapters, and he was hysterical.
  17. Probably the next two weeks will be Legends set up, with Kendra Saunders this week and probably the Rogues the episode after. I can't wait for Rip Hunter though, love his character. It doesn't have the best start but the show gets better about halfway through. It definitely had a lot of promise though, and the worldbuilding was growing before they cancelled it. Hopefully they bring him back in a larger capacity or I'll just have to resort back to my Hellblazer comics.
  18. Aww I totally forgot about this. RIP He was my favorite writer period for a long time before I started diving into fantasy. Timeline, Sphere, obviously Jurassic Park and Lost World, these are still some of my favorite books. Even his later stuff, (I loved State of Fear) was really good.
  19. As I expected, John Constantine stole tonight's episode of Arrow. Matt Ryan was great as always in the role, such a shame this might be the last time we will see him in the trenchcoat.
  20. These are my exact plans once I receive my 8-bit Szeth shirt later this week.
  21. Definitely looking forward to see how this develops. Really enjoyable episode, loving the Earth-2 version of Wells.
  22. I had to pause the show when he said that, I was laughing so hard. Enjoy that show, its fantastic. I'm very excited for the Victorian special that is coming out in January. This took me a little bit as well, since I loved his performance as Barty Crouch. I'm still bitter that his role wasn't big enough but oh well. Get to have more Tennant villainy in Jessica Jones later this month which I've been looking forward to since they announced his casting.
