I vote for the knights awkward! REPRESENT! Yeah, I'll see myself out.

What are you playing right now?
Amrynn replied to Link Von Kelsier Harvey's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I've just been playing my various pokemon games that I have going because I've been wanting to for different reasons. Diamond because I haven't faced Cynthia legit in years, White because I skipped that generation, Sapphire because I have multiple pokemon that I'm excited to finally use (Gardevoir, Absol, Aggron, Sableye, etc.), Leaf Green because I haven't played fully through Kanto before, and Soul Silver because I haven't fully played through Johto either. I have too many pokemon... -
I watched all of volume 1and 2 in one marathon as well, and volume 3 is looking pretty good so far. My favorite character is a difficult question, but I think I'll list my top 3 of male and then female characters (in no particular order) because there are so many. Male: 1. Qrow. Even though he was just introduced, his drunken fighting and thinly veiled dislike of the upper class coupled with his loving treatment of Ruby (he hasn't spoken with Yang yet :/) made him my man crush. 2. Roman Torchwick. I thoroughly enjoy the sassy and sarcastic nature that they've given him. He's definately one of those love to hate kind of villans. 3. Lie Ren. Even though he's said, like 10 lines that I can think of, his backstory is one of the most intriguing of all of team JNPR even though we don't know much about him. Female: 1. Neo. She's unappoligetically the coolest female character thus far because she made such an impression in her fight with Yang even though she made no sound through the whole thing. 2. Blake. I really relate to her quiet, introverted demeanor and adore the visual and fourth-wall-breaking humor. 3. Penny/Nora. I couldn't really decide if I like the over-the-top, always energetic, loose cannon of Nora or the socially awkward and occasionaLly creepiness of Penny. They're both just awesome! Have you listened to the soundtrack? If you have, what are your favorite songs?

I'm kind of stunned at the lack of discussion of the anime-inspired animated series by Rooster Teeth known as RWBY. The story, fights, characters, WEAPONS, and everything are so enthralling that I've nearly annoyed all of my fellow fans in school to ignoring me until a new episode comes out. So, to right this, Come all fans and those intrigued, please watch, it's really good! I'd love to discuss theories, reactions, thoughts on certain characters/weapons/episodes, etc.

Yay Shovel Knight soundtrack! I listen to that on repeat quite often. On the topic of video game songs, I've recently bought the acoustic version of "Nightmare" by NateWantsToBattle and I love that, even though it was inspired by a video game, it is such a great, emotional song if you ignore the FNAF undertones.

Adamir: That was quite the uplifting song! I'm usually leery about new musicians (really my leeriness at new things) but I quite enjoyed that! Hood: Coincidentally, I'd had the tune of this in my head in my head all day yesterday but couldn't place it. Now it's stuck in my head today, though it's a good one to have stuck. Very nice song by a band I'd never heard of :/ probably my afformentioned hesitance towards new-ness. Now for my suggestion. I have so many things to suggest, so I'll probably be frequenting this thread but I'll go with "Nightmare" by NateWantsToBattle. Now, this song IS based on five nights at freddy's, but the way he's written it is so that it can have a deeper meaning and be a genuinely good song without any FNAF connections. The original format is a heavier rock song, but there is a more feels-y acoustic version if you enjoy that better (I like and have both versions equally) Original: https://youtu.be/5U7bCSZ4NBA Acoustic: https://youtu.be/i52SWZVN5Ko

"I don't know," Amrynn says, observing the scene around him. "This is pretty tame compared to what normally goes on. You should have seen when a bookshelf crashed outside. That was quite interesting..."

Reading in order is not necessary. I read stormlight, mistborn, alloy of law, then elantris, and I've enjoyed them all thoroughly

On the Elantris/Warbreaker arguement, I bouht a bunch of Brandon books in backlog, so I sadly won't get 10th anniversary Elantris (yet) but I definately think that Elantris is a good choice. I am inclined to suggest the Stormlight Archive though, as it is my personal favorite series from the Cosmere. I don't know if you want to approach such a long book right off the bat, but I think it's worth the time.

Amrynn jumps up, startled by Summer's crashing entrance. "The first trilogy? Alloy of law? The second trilogy? Which one are we talking about?"

Who would win: Marsh (Mistborn) or Geralt (Witcher)

I'd love to see the reaction when you request for your official name to be changed to Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. That would make signing things very interesting...- 13 replies

Who would win: Marsh (Mistborn) or Geralt (Witcher)
Amrynn replied to Amrynn's topic in General Discussion
Creccio: Yep, it's really good. Thanks for the recommendation! Voidus: Yeah, we've been debating the whole atium issue, as it would be entirely OP, so I've been arguing without atium. And yes, it's era 1. Mestiv: Yes, perhaps Kaladin would be a fairer fight... I'm off to debate once again! I've also been told that the option of Geralt's magic hasn't been explored enough.- 13 replies

I know of the Castlevania Alucard, but that's probably not the one you meant. As for Hellsing, I just looked it up and I just might be hooked. It looks quite good and the animation has a similar feel to Death Note.- 13 replies

Yeah, wishful thinking, perheps. I don't know that much about Witcher, but I figure that atium plus the previously mentioned compounded gold is a near unbeatable combination.- 13 replies

I am in a rather heated debate as to who would win in a fight between Marsh the steel inquisitor and Geralt from the Witcher series. We've eliminated outside help, but all weapons and metals are available. I'm on the side of Marsh (for obvious reasons) and I will debate if you wish, but I would like a nice, unbiased discussion on this topic.

It was actually VERY similar to that (including the teacher), but you forgot to include the step where you shove the chicken nugget on to your finger to better represent a ring

Amrynn cautiously approached the newcomer, Fi staying back. "I don't know about this guy." Fi cautioned, "He seems like one of those monstrosities from the Dark Alley." "I know, I feel it too." Amrynn replied. "I'll be cautious." He approached the newcomer with a careful but sure step. "As long as you don't spike anyone against their will, I welcome you with open arms."

I used 3 fabrics layered on top of one another with heaviest on the bottom and lightest on the top. I did that so that it would sort of billow outwards while walking or in the breeze. For the specific fabrics, I used a chiffon, a standard cotton-polyester blend, and I used a textured cotton thing, but I was really just looking to find something that was in between the other two in weight.

I've made a mistcloack and carved a "shash" pumpkin. It's on the gallary here: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/gallery/image/705-shash-pumpkin-carving-lit/
