  1. Spoilers for Volume 3, Chapter 5:
  2. Amrynn walked over to the newcomer, clapping them on the shoulder. "Greetings. It's always good to welcome someone else into our ranks." He said. "Also, don't worry about the whole 'three Cosmere books' thing. I joined after only reading the current stormlight books, and had barely heard of the Cosmere. You'll be just fine. I'm afraid that I didn't catch your name, friend, though I may honestly forget it." Amrynn grimaced. PS, mobile version struck again! Accidental downvote on Airhawk360, please someone balace it out!
  3. "Hmm." Fi says, bending amd looking down at Sequence's fallen form. "What an interesting spren." She fluttered over to Amrynn. "Why am I not that interesting?" Turning to face her, Amrynn responded, "You are interesting, just a different kind of it."
  4. "I'd be entirely open to an alliance, though that probably would require social interaction." Amrynn offered. "I likely won't, however, be joining." His spren, Fi, fluttered over to him, "Why? Is it because of your lack of originality or creative thinking when it comes to the topic of established franchises?" Amrynn hesitated at this. "What, no rebuttal?" He sighed, "You're not entirely wrong." He sulked, dejected.
  5. "Don't worry, these cookies were made for the sole purpose of a joke that has refused to stop, but also to combat the spiked cookies of the DA." Amrynn explained. "You can be sure that they are safe."
  6. Amrynn's eyes widened, head snapping up from "Elantris" and he jumped up, hurrying over to Summer and Kipper, unaware of the motivations behind Summer's ambush. "READ ELANTRIS!" He exclaimed, tossing to volume at Kipper's dazed form before tripping over one of the numerous beanbags that always seem to trip people. Unfazed by his fall, he jumped back up to his knees. "That might just be one of the most epic and sequal-deserving climaxes I've ever read!"
  7. Of course, I'd highly recommend any of them (though probably not the original NES one because it's a franchise famous for labyrinths and the original has no map, making it very difficult to navigate). They're such good action-ish platformer, maze-navigating, adventuring, games that they started their own genre: Metroidvania (so named because the Castlevania games replicated it independantly)
  8. Oh, then you didn't even get to the first big fight OR character development. In that case, I even more highly suggest that you give it a shot!
  9. I just met up with one of my friends who I've been trying to convert to RWBY for a while, and here's the conversation: Him: "Hey, I finally watched RWBY yesterday." Me: "Oh, great! How far did you get?" Him: "Oh, you know. All of it. I kind of got sucked in" Funny enough, this is the third time that someone that I've conviced to watch it has watched it all in one setting.
  10. Amrynn tries to help Mistrunner off of the bean bag to save her from even more indignity.
  11. I tend to lean towards the older games as well, seeing as at least half are gba or later. And I'm with you on shooters, though I don't care for them that much to begin with. I do enjoy Metroid Prime, however. Do you enjoy the Marve movies? Which is your favorite?
  12. Greetings, tEhe! I think that you will... sufficiently enjoy Mistborn era 1. I also read Reckoners before becoming Cosmere-aware, and my standards of books went way up. I'd also recommend the Stormlight Archive or Mistborn Era 2 once you've finished the era 1
  13. Yes, Wayne is quite good. I'm having a difficult time choosing an absolute favorite, though. Maybe Kelsier. As for Cosmere books, Mistborn Era 2 and Warbreaker are really the only others you need. I would suggest the Wheel of Time, however. Edit: welcome, by the way.
  14. Greetings! While you shouldn't eat the cookies, eat the bookies as you see fit. They're a Knights Awkward specialty that infuses normal, book-shaped cookies with flavors of characters. I'd recommend a Lift bookie because they taste like pure awesomeness (they tend to be a favorite), but I have a Stick one as well.
  15. Amrynn calmly walks over to Summer and places a hand on her shoulder. "Did you just finish 'Hero of Ages' feel the strong compulsion to tell someone about it?" He asked. "If so, it's pretty common."
  16. This is an older thread, but video games? If so, preferred franchises/systems?
  17. Yay, another fellow Zelda fan! I own the Hyrule Historia as well, but I can't draw humans very well, so items and symbols it is! As for the 30th anniversary- wait, it's the 30th already!? I still play the free to dowload four swords 25th anniversary edition! Man, time flies! But yes, I am quite excited for (what looks to be) the most beautiful and epic Zeldas ever. Also, I'm glad that you got some enjoyment out of my RP character. I honestly didn't plan on being Link at first, but I had envisioned Syl as Fi for my entire read through (and at the time, Stormlight Archive and Reckoners were the only Sanderson books I'd read), and the Master Sword just fell into place. I did keep the name of my original character, though. And then I saw a group of people/ponies/dragons that turned into wolves, and that just lent itself to Link as well. So, thanks for the thanks I guess. Follow-up question: have you played any of the Metroid games?
  18. Do you play video games? If so, what genres/franchises/systems?
  19. Maybe not an anime (anime in movie form), but I'm re-watching certain Pokemon movies and I must say, while most are lackluster, certain ones stand out, these including Arceus and the Jewel of Life, The Rise of Darkrai, and Mewtwo vs Mew. I think that the Darkrai movie is one of my favorite animated movies of all time.
  20. The animation quality skyrockets between volumes and I think that it improves episode by episode. The story is awesome and I sense that a big reveal will be coming up, so you should definately try it again. Did you make it to episode 8 by any chance?
  21. Yeah, that misconception about pokemon is a bit of a sticking point for many people that I talk to. The beauty of the series (one of them at least) is that you can go through The game without any of the technical stuff, but you can also go through by messing around with the equivilent of genetics (soooo much math!). If you want to see the depth for yourself, episodes of an online show called "the dex" show it quite effectively. But I understand that it's not for everyone.
  22. Okay, I acknowledge that I'm biased on the subject, but Diamond and Pearl are my favorite of the series, with great starters a better story than most of the games, vast improvements over the previous ones, and I don't know many people who would disagree that Cynthia is one of if not the best champion of them all. Black and White are very eh, but I would still try them if you have the oppertunity. Gold and Silver are good to experience through the remakes and exploring an entire other region after the main story gives it one of the best post games of any of them (including ruby or sapphire) I have played the mystery dungeon "Explorers of Darkness" and was quite impressed with the nicely pokemon themed dungeon crawler. I may get the new one, but I'm not sure.
  23. I liked the fact that even though Qrow has a drinking problem, he's still quite competent and at times it seems like it doesn't even affect him anymore. I'm also inclined to believe you on the topic of Sun (you were correct on the spelling btw) and Neptune I'd like to see more of Scarlet, though. Maybe Sage as well. My favorite song is undoubtably "Red Like Roses Part II" it's so heart wrenching but so good!
  24. Oh, you no pokemon? You should do one of the older ones (probably heart gold or soul silver) to get into it if you wish. Of course, I totally would support that choice.
  25. Yeah, I'm impressed with how they've done with the action scenes, considering that their main combat choreographer was Monty and the everyday animation is BEAUTIFUL! I even kinda like Ren's new voice actor. I actually like the second opening (Time To Say Goodbye) better than the first. The new one also seems to stand up to par. What're your favorite character(s) Voidus?
