Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods
RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
For the first time since she had arrived in the Court of the Gods, Ri dreamed. Much like the first dream that had drawn her here to begin with, little of it made sense. She caught glimpses of blood, shadows, and falling forms, but no faces, no truth to piece together and find her path. Only a warning, and an unclear one at that. "Raven! Raven, wake up!" Ri jolted awake. Above her flew Ien, his form that of a crane, but his worry was still clear. "Not that name, Ien," she said between gritted teeth. "Not here." A knock sounded on the door. Ri froze, then whispered, "Hide." She hurriedly wrapped her veils across her face, trusting Ien to follow her words. Her veils were finally in place the moment Ke entered the room. "My lady, you are needed. More deaths have occurred." Ri sighed,, turning to face her priest. Ke paled. "Did you dream, my lady?" "Yes," Ri whispered. "A dream of death." Ke hesistaed before speaking. "I will need to know more to properly interpret it..." "Later, Ke. Please inform the other gods I will arrive in a few minutes." "My lady..." "Now, Ke. Go." Ke fled. Ri sighed, then turned to the floor. "More deaths, Ien. More danger." "For the Returned, for the God King, or for you?" "I don't know." Ri wrapped her arms around herself. "Ke grows suspicious. If she discovers who I truly am..." "Then we must insure that your priests do not." I don't even remember who's still alive and who's still dead in this game. However, I have a feeling we're in a bad position. We've only caught one eliminator, so I think we're looking at 3 or 4 more, if I'm remembering the numbers correctly. I can't tell what the pattern that the eliminators are using in order to hit their targets, but I am becoming increasing concerned that the eliminators' numbers include either Wyrm or Jerric, or both, as I would think the eliminators would have killed these two by now. Wyrm, I'm more concerned about you because I am worried that you have been protesting too much against those who have placed votes on you already, and because you started the train of thought that led to phattemer's lynch. Then again, I thought phattemer was protesting too much, and we see where that got us. I would like to hear from Orlok and Lopen, as both of you have been playing but haven't made any huge game changing moves. Jain has been barely active, and so has Vauhsoj. Jain hasn't even been on, so he does have some excuse, but I am also concerned about Vauhsoj, as he could easily be playing the inactive card up as en eliminator. I would like an explanation for your inactivity, please. Edit: Color. Edit2: Vote change- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods

Only Joe, I would like to hear more explanation from you about why you think that Wyrm was using you to stop Meta, especially considering how it was only cycle one where all of that took place, so I'm leaving my vote on you for now. I might be able to get back on in time to change it if I hear from you, but for now this is my decision. Adamir, if you don't die this cycle, I'm lynching you next round. Nothing personal. Ri the Mysterious, signing off for now.- 271 replies

Thank you for the explanation, Orlok. At this point, I don't have any huge reasons to keep suspecting you, but I would like to hear your thoughts on the situation at hand. Beyond that, I would like to hear more from The Only Joe, as I seem to remember only hearing from you briefly in the previous cycles. Any thoughts on the game at the moment? If people can't tell, I really have no suspects at this point, unfortunately. Phattemer might have raised some good points, or he might not have. I'm really not sure. I might add some more roleplay later on, but right now I don't have a target in mind for the lynch. Edit: Color changes.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods
RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Honestly, I have no idea who to vote for at the moment. I am a bit concerned about Wyrm's call out on phattemer, when we now see that he's innocent, but I also remember thinking that he had a point when he submitted the post, so... Frankly, Adamir, I have a feeling that you're going to get lynched, no matter what you've said. This is going to annoy a few people, I think. At this point, I'm not placing my vote on you, but that might change depending on what happens I am worried that we're slowly losing more and more active players to this game so I'm going to try and poke someone who's still in, but I haven't seen much of. As far as I can remember, Orlok wasn't on the last cycle. What's your explanation for why? Edit: Removing Orlok's vote. Or I would, if the color changer would work. So, anyway, Orlok, since I can't get this to change my initial vote.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods
RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Wyrm, I've tried to explain why a couple things you've said or done make me feel slightly uneasy, but I'm having trouble narrowing down on anything specific. I know part of it has to do with the fact that I had a theory that the eliminators were trying to kill the best players first, and with this latest death I feel like they skipped you in the pattern. Yet, at the same time, the next person they chose was not the person I thought they might chose next after you (honestly, I thought Jerric was the next biggest threat for the eliminators, not somebody who'd barely been on) so I can't be sure that I'm right in that sense. Beyond that, I think it's partially due to have you outright accused phattemer of being an eliminator, (though I'm also suspicious of him) and, honestly, how I sometimes have trouble following what you're trying to save in your posts. Walls of text have always given me trouble, so sometimes I feel as though you're burying something in your words that I'm missing. Like I've said before, nothing that makes me quite ready to vote for you at the moment, but enough to make me want to keep an eye on you. Also, I had a change in plans for the day, so I should be on more today, assuming I make it through the end of the cycle.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods

At this point, I'm leaving my vote on phattemer. I doubt I will be on again this cycle, but I might show up at the end of this cycle. I will not be on for the first nine or so hours of the next cycle: family thing, and I won't have access to internet.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods
RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Jerric, I'll freely admit I'm leaning on other players. Like you said, we all are, in order to figure who the eliminators are. I guess I wasn't exactly clear with why I'm a little suspicious of Wyrm. To be honest, it's mostly gut feeling at this point, Not even the Meta/Wyrm thing that most people seem to keep bringing up about Wyrm. I thought Wyrm was our next death, and instead Hael died. He's been helpful, but pushy in some cases. It's more an uncertainty, and not anything I'm willing to put a vote down on. Maybe he is an eliminator, and I'll end up dead for suggesting it. Maybe we'll end up lynching him, considering he still has the most votes on him at the moment. At this point, I'm still concerned that phattemer is too defensive, but he's willing to die if Wyrm is innocent, so either he's willing to die to remove Wyrm, a powerful threat on the board, or he is really convinced that Wyrm is an eliminator. At this point, I'm still leaving my vote on him. Wyrm, does that tie up you and phattemer? Because if it does, then I'm more than willing to leave my vote where it is. I have a feeling that, of the two of you, if one dies this round and is shown to be innocent, the other is going to follow next round.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods

Phattemer, I was kind of hoping you'd actually give me some reasons that Wyrm doesn't have any good reason to distrust you, rather than just say "he doesn't have any evidence' and move on. However, I do admit I have to agree with Mallaiw on this one: both you and Wyrm seem sort of not-completely-innocent at the moment. Unlike Mailliw, I feel that your actions, like being defensive without giving huge amounts of information to back up your statements while Wyrm is more than willing to try and poke holes in your logic, are more worth my vote at this time than Wyrm's. Wyrm, I think that you've been a great help throughout the game so far, but I am a bit worried that you're leaning your statements towards certain targets, though I think that phattemer is doing as well. If I had to guess at this point, phattemer is trying to get one of our stronger players lynched before dying himself, but I could be reading the situation wrong, especially considering the fact that I thought Wyrm might have been killed by the eliminators this round. Mailliw, thank you for the compliment. I hadn't expected to be thought of so highly this game, especially considering that this is my first game. Edit: Clarity in comments. Edit2: I will also say that, if Venture had been an eliminator, I would be much more suspicious of phattemer at the moment, considering how his comments last round overlooked Venture. Since Ven was innocent, I'm looking more for a clear explanation than accusing you, phattemer.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods
RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think the names I'm going to give here will be RavenRadient7, obviously, WyrmHero, since I don't want to lose an active player, and Sir Jerric, for the same reasons. Sorry, Bort, but in this case I'm voting for those that have been actively naming people and asking questions, and these two are the two doing it the most. I will admit that I'm concerned we might see WGG that the others explained a while back, but hopefully the random aspect of the named target will counter that. Out of curiosity, can the eliminators kill themselves to save another? I'm not saying that Adamir is an eliminator, but I am a bit worried we might see him "chose" a "random" target, and actually have a WGG, if he happened to be an eliminator. The fact that he is making clear that it is a "random" choice is what caused me to think of this. Edit: Oh, and Bort, I would be interested in putting together such a RP, post, if one or both of us make it that far.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods
RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ri examined the painting, eyes widened slightly as she looked. The similarities were clear, and slightly unsettling. Was yet another of their number out exploring, and leaving clues to their Library? Or, worse, did they have an enemy? She didn't hesitate in giving her answer. "In this case, Bortholomew, you can count on me." Sigh. Looks like Venture really was just an inactive, and not an eliminator. No wonder he never answered my questions. At this point, I don't have any ideas of who to vote for, so I'm going to poke phattemer, considering that he was a, accused of being an eliminator by Wyrm and I would like to hear his reply, and b, he wanted to know if Haelberde was playing, right before this lynch. Guess who just died? This also seems to suggest that the pattern I thought the eliminators were taking, aka killing all our best and active players first, has been abandoned. I was hoping we might see an obvious skip in the pattern, and guess an eliminator, but it looks like the eliminators changed tactics.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods
RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
At this point, I'm suspecting that I'm not going to be hearing from Venture, again. I'll admit that I'm a bit suspicious of him, considering how he voted on Shallan in a way that wouldn't count, and now voting on someone who already had a vote on him, without giving a reason for it, so I'm going to keep the vote on him for now. I'm hoping he'll actually come on and give an explanation, but I'm not counting it as likely. Though, we now have two votes on Adamir, but I'm not sure I'm following your reasoning, Alvron. Are you suggesting that it's more likely that the eliminators would want to vote off one of their own, if inactive, than it just being pure luck by the villagers? Remember, we also know that Kipper voted for her, and he was a villager. On top of that, Adamir voted for Shallan first, before anyone else did. It seems a bit too early for it to have been due to him suspecting that his eliminator "friend" was going to be inactive the entire round. The last person to vote for her was me, and I voted for her mostly because she was more inactive than Kipper, who I had initially voted for. Frankly, I'm glad I made the change. At this point, I'm not accusing you or Adamir of anything, I'm just pointing out a few thoughts, especially considering the fact that it would make this a lynch for Adamir, if you or Funweaver don't change your votes, and considering Adamir hasn't been on recently, making him less likely to come in and defend himself. I guess I'm just doing it for him, considering how your argument could also be applied to me And after that long rant, I'm signing off for the night, I'd like to be able to come on again before the vote, to maybe change my vote if I ever get an answer, but at this point I'm leaving it on Venture.- 271 replies

Welcome back, Ven. Last round, I was wondering why you didn't color your vote for Shallan, and now I'm wondering why your voting on Jain, and making him be the first with two votes on him. Well, until I removed my vote. Care to explain? Edit: I hit red by accident for Jain's name, and now I can't change it. Anyway, it should be Jain.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods
RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ri frowned, shutting the doors of her quarters and drowning out the sounds of the court. "Anything, Lady Ri?" Ke asked, wringing her hands together. Ri shook her head. "Only that Aleck is gone. His priests have vanished, but the blood on the floors makes his fate quite clear." "He deserved it, my lady, after what he did to your mirrors," Ke said. Ri waved her off. "He didn't deserve death for that action, Ke. No, he was too outspoken, too willing to propose his views. I fear he was getting too close to the killers, but his knowledge is lost now." "And the others?" Ri sat down at her desk, glanced once over the accumulated papers, then stood up again and paced. "Nothing. Ven is missing from his rooms, and all my attempts to track him down have been for naught. Jain has barred his doors, and takes no visiters. Funweaver parties the nights away, and barely makes a presence at any of the meetings. Only a few others are searching, and they trust me as little as I trust them." Ke paused, clearly wanting to ask a question, and Ri sighed. "Yes?" "What about Bortholomew?" Ri scowled, glad for the veils that hid her face. "Not for you to know, Ke. He and I have things to discuss, and the fewer who know, the better. Please collect my petitioners, please." Ke frowned, but obeyed. One of the only good things about being surrounded by priests all day and night. Ri scanned the papers again. The dreams still hadn't come, but one of the paintings she had viewed the day before had whispered of death. She had feared for her life, but she should have feared more for the others. "Can we trust him, Ien?" The papers on her desk shifted slightly, taking on a semblance close to human. "I told you we can't trust any of the priests. They would keep you here even after you're done lurking around." "No, not Ke. Bortholomew." The papers bent, forming into the shape of a frown, before shifting back. "Him? He's a Knight Awkward, even the same order as you. Who knows what his purpose here is. He might want to save the God-King, or he might want to see him fall. Either way, he's watching as much as we are." Ri nodded slowly. "No information. No trust. No help. How are we supposed to succeed?" "Same way we always do - by watching." At this point, I'm trusting you as much as you're trusting me. We might be fellow Knights, but who knows if we are truly fellow Returned, or if our purposes here agree. Beyond that, I still have no idea who we can and cannot trust, much less who we should lynch. At this point, we don't have anyone with two votes on them, as far as I can tell, and I don't want to be the first person to place a second vote when I have no idea who to trust. So, general question to those who voted for a smart guy: why?- 271 replies

Ri's eyes widened at Bortholomew's words. She had taken the words of her order to heart, dedicating herself to watching and rarely interfering, but somewhere along the way she had forgotten the organization she had pledged herself to in the first place. "I see I have been...remiss in my duties," she said, matching her volume to his. "We shall talk again later, I promise." She touched briefly the case she carried everywhere, then swept off. She had other Gods to see before this day was out. Thanks for the idea, Bort. I hadn't even thought about making Ri and Raven the same, but I like it. More roleplaying coming up at some point. Beyond that, I did kind of borrow your idea about Jain, Wyrm. Hopefully he'll show up, and we can figure some more things out before we have to chose another lynch target. So far, I don't have any real good ideas about who might be suspicious, so I'm just trying to get any lurkers/inactives to show up.- 271 replies

RavenRadient7 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, at this point, it's looking like the eliminator's are trying to get rid of the more well known and considered good players first, before anyone else. I think Sir Jerric is right in saying that our inactives are keeping us from being able to play the game well, but I'm not sure what else we could do to change that. Right now, I'm going to put a vote down on Jain considering he never showed up last round. I still would like to hear from Venture, considering I never got an answer as to why he didn't color his vote in the first round, but considering Venture wasn't on yesterday, I'm going to give him a bit of a break for the moment. Jain, where have you been, and why have you been mostly inactive? Edit: Grammar- 271 replies

It looks like a smart guy got off a little while ago, so we probably won't be hearing any answers from him for a bit. Venture hasn't been on since yesterday, and Phattemer hasn't show up since the game started. I'm still looking for an answer from Ven once he makes it back to the game, so I'm going to keep the vote on him for now, but I'm watching a smart guy for the moment. I'm getting off for the night. I'm hoping to be back on tomorrow morning before the lynch, in order to see what a smart guy has to say about all this, but at the moment I'm not voting for him. Hopefully, we'll find some answers soon.- 271 replies

...Why do I have a feeling that, since two people think I'm cleared, I'm dead next round? It's looking like most of the votes so far are poke votes, as far as I can tell in a quick check, so it's looking like we're just down to a smart guy and Phattemer at the moment. At this point I'm leaving my vote on Ven, to see if he ever does show up, but I might vote again to break the tie if no one else does in the next hour or so. I'm not leaning any particular way at the moment, so hopefully Phattemer will show up at some point soon and give an explanation.- 271 replies

So, it's looking like Meta's plan isn't an option anymore, but at least we know he wasn't trying to manipulate us as an eliminator. Do we have any idea how many of us are eliminators? That way, we have an idea of how close we are, even though we're still in the early stages.- 271 replies

At the moment, I'm thinking that Meta's plan has merit, even though I'm not completely sold on it yet. Just off the top of my head, the biggest worry about the plan would be ensuring that the lynched target is chosen enough in advance to allow them to send a pm about sacrificing themselves, and giving any previous target a chance to back out. Otherwise, we'd either have multiple people sacrificing themselves, or we'd have a target who doesn't follow the plan due to being chosen at the last minute. That being said, I'm going to jump on the bandwagon of the minute and vote Lynchtarget the Innocent. She still hasn't shown up to post yet, and at this time, I'm not seeing any better option. I don't know if Kipper's plan is the best idea,, but it's the only one so far that focuses on the lynch discussion itself, and not the outcome of the lynch I don't think I'm going to be able to post again until after this cycle is over. Unfortunately, it's looking like I'm going to miss the last 6 hours or so of every lynch due to my sleeping habits. If any lynch goes a completely different way right before the end, just be aware that I probably can't change my answer because of this.- 271 replies

Quick Fix Game 9: The Court of The Gods

Ri concealed a sigh as she returned to her rooms, shifting her veils to ensure that they were still in position. Colors, what has gotten into my priests now? "Lady Ri, come quickly! One of the other Returned paid a visit!" "And, Ke? Such an event is hardly worth my time. I'm more concerned with other matters at the moment." Three nights with no dreams, not even the ones her priests never bothered interpreting. Lack of warnings could only mean real danger. "In here, my lady." She surveyed the damage briefly, noting the glass had been cleaned up before she had even arrived. At least her priests were still efficient, if nothing else. "Do you know who?" "Lord Aleck, my lady. He appears to have taken your vote, badly." Ri rolled her eyes. "Aleck has no intention of ever changing his ways, and I doubt that even the God King could control his antics." She swept past Ke, heading towards the paintings her priests had gathered. Perhaps the art would hold the answers that her dreams refused to give. "But what should we do about the situation!" Ri paused at the door. "Why, nothing of course. No reaction, and of course no change in the vote. I have heard of his own vote, and Lynch had "Innocent" right in her title. Perhaps a tie would be in order. Now, I have work to do." Sorry Kipper, but Ri never shows her face to anyone. How else could she remain mysterious, after all! And I'm not removing the vote on you until I've heard why the second vote on Lynch, like Orlok said. I'm not sure if starting a lynch this early is a good idea or not, so I'd rather get closer to a tie. I will not be around for a few hours, though, so it might be a while before I can remove the vote if you do explain.- 271 replies
