My first book was Elantris. I picked it up because i liked the way the cover looked, as I did to 'Eye of the World' back in the 90s. I read the whole book in a day or two, then read it again. I really liked the book. Had never heard of Sanderson before then, but it was promising. I didn't think about him again until he was announced to finish WoT. I went back and read Mistborn because of that and was enamored by it. I've been a fan ever since, though I've been lax in the last few years, but that gives me several books to read now.

Dragon Quest VI for the DS. So far I'm enjoying it. Only a few hours in. I just finished Bravely Default the other night, which was a fantastic game.

If I had that many breaths, I would probably just use awakening for my own amusement. I'd have little straw dolls that I would keep around so that I could have them move things on people's desks, move other things, etc. I'd probably also take up painting since I'd have perfect color recognition. I'd also enjoy nature a lot more. Fire works would be a blast to watch.

If Nightblood uses breath, but he's on a planet where that investiture doesn't exist, but another system, but it all comes from the same(ish) source of power (The shards), you would think that the system would adapt so that Nightblade could continue to exist, right? I'm a little rusty on Warbreaker material, but if Nightblood and Vasher came over to Roshar and they did not have source in which to gain breaths (I'm pretty sure relinquishing breaths on Roshar doesn't work like it did on Nalthis, they would have to tap into the investiture of the local planet. It may or may not be an equal exchange rate either. It could take a whole lot/Not a lot of stormlight to wield Nightblood, and maybe Vasher doesn't have to give up his breath per day like he did back on his home world. Can someone clarify that for me? I know a lot of this, if not all is speculation, but if they can travel to another world, and Vasher alone can survive for 12 years, he's either doing it at a reduced rate of losing breath, if he's even using breath to survive. In turn, you would think that Nightblood is the same way since he very obviously still exists. I am unsure and unable to remember if he was passed to Szeth unsheathed or not, because that apparently makes a world of difference.

As far as his non-cosmere stuff, I have read Steel Heart. I have Firefight to read as I only got it during his tour for the book. I think that's about it. I have Rithmatist, but I still haven't gotten to it, and I've read the first Alcatraz book he did. I Picked up his Shadows for Silence in the Forest of Hell/Perfect state hardcover at Jordancon this weekend, and I've had FIrstborn/Defending Elysium for a while, but I haven't gone through either story yet.

Hello all, I've been reading Sanderson's stuff for a while. I got introduced to him back in 2008 after a friend suggested Mistborn. I started with Elantris first as it was a single book and I wanted to be sure I liked the author before I did a trilogy. I've been a fan ever since. I generally go to all his signings when he's in the area and ask him stupid questions that I later find here that have long since been answered, so I figured after years of just having head theory with no one to really discuss it with I would register here and see what others have to say. I already have plenty of questions that I'm looking for answers on, and I'm pretty sure I can find all of them here through a bunch of wonderful people on the forums. So bear with me if you see me on some topic somewhere asking the not-so-tough questions that have been clearly answered elsewhere. I try to look for them before I ask, but I'm not too great at finding them. Thanks, and looking forward to some fantastic discussions!
