  1. . Guys. Calamity's intention; to write his next book... Duh.
  2. Well whose to say that David doesn't just have the most powerful powers of all.. Cooke pewors
  3. K guys yall stay here and fangirl. I've got a project to work on.
  4. lol, as awesome as that Calamity thing would be, I'm afraid not. I believe that the mutant things that go on inside an Epics interior effects their exterior alright, but for instance, Prof, Regalia, and Dawnslight had no real points of interest in the books talking about how their bodies are that in comparison to Taylor Lachnaur. While they may have emitted a youthful/powerful glow, I doubt they ALL have this urge to lift weights. Could Calamitys weakness be being away from the Gym more than 24 hours!?!? *Gasp*
  5. That's exactly what I've been trying to say! Some enjoy the tyranny, while others just want to be normal, and some are just blinded by fear and madness. Studies show that different situations and states of mental stablity can destroy ones rationality.
  6. I can agree with that I guess
  7. I'm hitting the sack, it's 10:30 here. I have a really big project to do tomorrow. Pece. Ttyl Kobold.
  8. YES!!! Again, my mind wants a cookie.!!. However old you are Kobold, you would LOVE my gifted ELA class. We constantly get into moral and religious debates. And our teacher plays Devil's Advocate. 6th,7th, & 8th Grades always get good.
  9. And again, they are mentally deprived, so they see themselves as doing a good murdering millions. Cleansing the world, as Hitler put it.
  10. And while it may be written badly, the Winners of every war write the history books. If theNazis had won, every textbook in the word would be filled with the phrase THE EVIL ALLIED DEMONS
  11. I'm not entirely sure what you're arguing exactly, but by the same reasoning I could conclude that to Adolf Hitler, the Jews and the Allies were Demons and that the Nazis were Angels. I would hold that Hitler's perspective on himself is irrelevant by virtue of the people he harmed, and that the same holds true for Epic despots like Steelheart or Regalia. Yes! Now you're getting it. While it may be sick and twisted, Hitler saw the Jews as a blemish, and he was the savior to wipe them off the face of the earth, doing humanity a favor. It WASNT right at all, but that's what the Nazis saw. Again, it's like the Epics.
  12. However, while they may NEED help, it's a matter of modern dispute as well. Do the mentally sick need to be put out, or helped? If they can't be helped, what do we do then? Just like with Regalia, they couldn't figure out her weakness, so what if they can't find the weakness of others. *GASP* COULD THE RECKONERVERSE BE AN ALLEGORY FOR MODERN SOCIETIES OWN PROBLEMS AND LARGE MORALE DEBATES IN THE ACTUAL WORLD?
  13. Again, it's up to Who's Morale Is More Important To them, they are Angels To them, the Reckoners are Demons. Enda Story.
  14. You said that he was here to help with the inner demons. Well, there are instances where Epics want to rule. Throught corruption they rule. Well David is here to help, however while we look at the Reckoners as the good guys, look at the Epics POV. They want to rule with their powers, and the Reckoners are going to a.) Kill them, or b.) Attempt to help them. What if one doesn't want to be helped? David and the Reckoners are a Demon to them and theirs powers are Angels.
  15. Sorry. I was kinda going off of a mental note I had from class debate today I thought would relate to this.
  16. I was replying to your previous thoughts.
  17. Well there is something we've overlooked. In history, Angels and Demons have been considered and know as the same thing, just on a Polaris scale. A Gaurdian Angel who helped destroy your enemies in battle is considered to be a merciless Demon to your enemies. You said that David would be helping the Damned with their inner demons, but, what if they don't WANT to be helped. 'With great power comes the desire to rule' Every man wants to rule. I suppose Reckoners can be considered important, but to Epics they aren't. Even if they do want to help, they are only important in the eyes of the beholder. There are obviously mixed emotions about them, evidence of the citizens who complained about overthrowing Steelheart, and toppling modern and stable government. Who really is the LAYMAN, and who really is the IMPORTANT. Epics who kill mercisily. Do they seem important to you? Reckoners who kill to kill(one of the original POVs of the Reckoners like Abraham and Cody and Mizzy (revenge)), do they sound layman? What about important? It is a simple excersize my Devil's Advocate debate teacher uses, and has been the topic of MANY disputes: Who's Morale Ideas Are More Important?
  18. Welcome to the community. I can already tell you're going to be a GREAT theorist. You just said everything I've been trying to get on paper, but my brain was like, 'Yo... Yo...' 'What brain?' 'Yo..... I..... I want a..... a.... Cookie. Is... Is that... What it's called.... Right m8?' 'No... Bad brain. No brain food.' 'Yo man..... Dude... I ned dat kookei... Mes... beiRhn.... teEuissU.... herP...' *Drooling on desk*
  19. Wait that's not supposed to be in textbooks? Lol
  20. Here's what we know: •Dawnslight- A very early Epic, we know this because they said in the books,'The glows started right after Calamity' If he has been in a coma since he was young, his Rending didn't do any real outside damage. His powered are like that movie Insomnia, where whatever he dreams, it comes true, so the city's powers came from his powers, not his Rending. The only reason the Reckoners thought New Babliar was strange, was because they were used to the glum NewCago, so the possiblilites of him being evil is swept under the carpet, especially with the fact that he helped the Reckoners. (Granted it could've just been to get rid of Regalia, be he is omnipresent and couldve dreamed of her death by ,oh I don't know, oxygen deprivation or something) •Prof- His history is not so well know, all we know is that he was friends with 3 other Epics, two of which he killed, he dated Tia, he was a 5th grade Science teacher, he didn't like contest, and that he was interested in space. If anyone were to know his weakness,'it could've been the students. They knew him well. We don't know what Prof killed one of his Epic friends, however we know the other's reason. It would make sense that Prof would kill his students, since they knew him best. However it again is demolished like a wrecking ball by the fact the he Rended (Frazzled) when he stopped the bomb, so he wouldve Rended TWICE, which has never been recorded (that we know of). He also formed the Reckoners, a group of regular humans who would all be very close to him, that he could annihilate at any given moment. Hope this shed some light.
  21. I can just imagine. Mom: Hey Tim, how was school today Tim:... Mom: Tim? What's wrong? Tim: I was scarred for life today. Mom: By what dear? Tim: Potatoes in minefields. *collapses*
  22. I agree. However nothing the bandersnatch ever writes makes sense. That's why we have this forum, now isn't it?
  23. I couldn't get that outa my ahead. Thanks..
