Spanish is my native language. I am (clearly) fluent in English. I also "speak" to different levels of (lack of) fluency: Italian, French, Japanese, Mandarin, and Swedish. I don't think I'm missing any, but I dabble a lot. Does FORTRAN count? Does anyone even still use that outside of the extremely niche field I used it in? Lately I've taken up German, but I'm VERY early into that.

Oh, this is gonna be difficult: Harry Potter Stormlight Archive Mistborn His Dark Materials Gentlemen Bastard (that's the Locke Lamora series by Scott Lynch) Kingkiller Chronicles The Silmarillion/LotR I am listing these by how much I've enjoyed them, rather than how good I think they are. some are not finished yet, so rankings are sure to change over time. I'm unsure of whether the whole Cosmere stuff should be counted as one, so I thre in a sixth. EDIT: forgot His Dark Materials, and I did not have the heart to remove any of the others, so ... the list is now 7. Oh well.

I built my own PC a couple of years ago, it was the first time I did it, but there were very few issues. From now on, I am likely to build all of my PCs. It was a very fun experience.

New around these parts, so I'll list what I'm playing: Alien Isolation (I can only play in like 15 minute sessions, it's that scary!) Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (working on the dex) Sim City 4 (I am ALWAYs playing this in some capacity) Star Wars: The Old Republic (on and off) Star Wars: the Force Unleashed (for it ina humble bundle and giving it a try) Civ V (I play a game now and then) So yeah, a lot of these I'm super late to, but my lis tof games I need to play is beyond unwieldy, so things always get played late. Except Pokemon, that always gets bought and played on launch day.

Hello all, I've lurked around here for a while but had issues registering. I was finally able to register (thanks Eric for the help!), so I figured I'd come by here and introduce myself. I've been reading Brandon Sanderson's books for a while now, ever since my partner introduced me to Mistborn. I devoured that series, then started picking up his other books. I think Warbreaker next, then Elantris. Imagine my surprise and excitement when I realized these books were connected. Some reading at this forum and at the Coppermind wiki and I was hooked for life. I did a full re-reading of all Cosmere stories in preparation for diving into WoK and WoR. I was so addicted I was secretly reading at work. I just could not put them down. Anyway, I hunted down the anthology stories a couple of weeks ago and am now 100% caught up. I even read the unpublished material Brandon has made available on his site. I look forward to much theorycrafting at this site!
