wood putty tends to be good for filling in holes, but at those sizes I'm not sure you'd like the look of it. I do know it can be stained and sanded once it dries, which is nice.
Again, I'm not sure you'd like the look of it but you could also try fiberglass cloth and polyvinyl resin. Very damage resistant, and you can add pigment to the resin to get different colors (make each metal the color of itself - gold is gold, tin is tin-colored, etc).
I don't know, really. I'd say wood putty would be your best bet for consistency, though.

Since I have the book handy....
pg 136, WoK hardback
"Brightness... I believe you stray into sarcasm." - Master Artmyrn
"Funny. I thought I'd run straight into it, screaming at the top of my lungs." - Shallan
I'd totally forgot about that one. Tagged!

The obvious: Kelsier - "There's always another secret."
"I believe that's the sound the world makes when it pisses itself." - Wit
"Errorgant, perhaps. It means to be twice as certain as someone who is merely arrogant, while possessing only one-tenth the requisite facts." - Shallan
"The foolishness of men who care and the brilliance of those who do not. The second depend on the first - but also exploit the first while the first misunderstand the second, hoping that the second are more like the first. And all of their games steal out time. Second by second." - Wit
"A story doesn't live until it is imagined in someone's mind." -Wit
I always tag this kind of thing in good books

Is there a canon term for a group consisting of a Shardblade and a set of Shardplate? We've been usiing the term Shards (i.e. Dalinar had Shards, a Blade and Plate set), and that seems both clunky and like it could get confused with actual, divine-powered Shards (Ruin, Odium, etc).

On my feet, I can nimbly dodge the fireball thanks to Gunner's raw speed. Different Warrior styles? Earth and Fire so far, it looks like. And some sort of magic that occurs on shift. Probably what shut me down earlier. Move, Jay, move. Still no durability in this Form. Keep him at range.
I call up multiple balls of Coldfire as a distraction as I circle around the edge of the arena, and move them in a spiral pattern centered on Thomas. He knows they're harmless. Time for something a bit more tactical. Reaching the opposite edge of the ring, I disperse the Coldfire and call three small fires into Thomas' clothes while unleashing a rapid burst of bullets towards him and the area around him.
I doubt those fires will do much in his current Form. Oh well. I've been using this Form like it's not a combination. Time to mix some abilities together, see what I can do.

Adonalsium
Wouldn't you like to know what that is? Maybe you will, eventually. Not in this book though. [Editor's note: If you see it spelled "Adonasium" anywhere, that is an unfortunate typographical error.]
From here.

From the Warbreaker pdf, pages 309-310
He sat with his board in his lap, then shook his head, writing. I am a god. I am not given Breaths, I am born with them.“No,” Siri said. “Bluefingers told me you’d been collecting them for centuries. That each God King gets two Breaths a week, instead of one, building up his reserves.”
Actually, he admitted, some weeks I get three or four.
“But you only need one a week to survive.”
Yes.
Susebron (and earlier God Kings, who are really just Returned with a lot of Breath) only consume one Breath a week. He just gets more each week on his feast day than the other Returned. It builds up a huge stockpile (the Treasure of Peacegiver, page 545 in the pdf) that a God King can consume if he's ever in danger and doesn't have regular access to more Breath.
So really the math would be one Breath a week for each non-God King Returned, say a 25, and an average of 2.5 a week for Seb. 27.5 Breaths a week, and I'm going to assume a 50-week year for easy multiplication, for at least 300 years.
27.5*50*300 = 15000*27.5 = 412500 Breaths, or just under half a million.
Half a million people is roughly the population of Las Vegas. Easily doable even in a society without modern medicine. Take into account that this is spread out over three centuries, and it becomes even more probable.

As the light from my shift dies down, I see the ripple of earth headed towards me in just enough time to lean forward and avoid being thrown off the arena floor. I'm knocked down, scraping my knees, but as I fall I call three balls of Coldfire into existance and will them towards Thomas' face. Harmless... but he doesn't know that.
Still prone, I draw a dagger in my left hand and a pistol in my right. Wild magic take this form's lack of durability... Should have kept some armor. Can't even stay up through an earthwave... I try to get to my feet and fire at Thomas, but he seems to have something else in store for me. Be ready to move...

WHAT?!? No! Nonononononono. Problem! Jay. Focus. Calm down. No tech, you can handle this. Still have that Bloodmaker ability, right? I try to fill my goldmind bracers, just a touch. Well at least that still works. Omni-tool's dead... Guns? I give a squeeze of my heavy pistol's trigger, still in its holster, listening for the microcomputer's whir. Nothing. Well, there goes that idea. Still got plenty of healing, but I can't hit him with that. Thomas is walking towards me slowly, looking like he's savoring my helplessness. If he hits me with that massive two-handed sword, I'm going to have to spend a lot of healing recovering.
I don't have twenty seconds at this distance... I retreat towards the edge of the arena, putting space between myself and Thomas. His slow, inevitable walk towards me continues, but I keep my calm. What do I want to keep... Nothing is useful from this form. Decision made, I start the shift into Primal Gunner, wary of a charge by Thomas. I could try and trip him into the chasm... unlikely he'd fall for it. Duck and roll, if needed. Do not spend unnecessary healing. Scrapes are fine, free-bleeding wounds aren't.

I thought the matches Ambro, Jack, and Jay'el were watching were in the Mist Cavern? I could be wrong, though.

Jay'el's over in Glyph, Emeralis. Feel free to have Jack or Ambro watch
should be interesting.0 -
I'm excited to see all the different names for the Ferings (right? That was in the Q&A earlier). We already saw one - Bloodmaker - for a Gold Fering. I'm wondering what someone who could use Feruchemical Pewter would be called. A Strongarm, maybe? I don't know. I'm all twitchy in anticipation.

Turning to Jack, JL quickly says, "Sorry, friend, gotta run! The arena awaits." He heads towards the arena, thoughts jumbled.
Okay, Jay, game time. Wait, does my last name not matter? Oh well. Spheresmithy after this match, yay! Focus. Focus. Engineer to start, bounce drones and bullets off the walls in addition to straight fire, switch to Primal Gunner when I run low on heat sinks, probably take some hits to the kinetic barrier, keep the heavy pistol for the switch - speed reloading and aiming is amazing with that thing, mow him down. Good plan? decent plan. Don't know what he has. manageable with new modifications. Thank you, Tori. Tech work afterwords, don't show up exhausted. Sphere work!
Jay'el is clearly distracted by the thought of working with Tori in the Spheresmithy after the match, but as he enters the arena his mind focuses to taking in his opponent, the elusive Thomas McGee.

I've gotta say, if there weren't safeguards in place on Spheremorphs, what River did would be a brutally efficent way to kill someone. I winced when I read that.

I dash past Jack, slapping him on the shoulder in camaraderie, just in time to catch the end of River's match, and I'm very confused by what I see. He caused some tinder and alcohol to spontaneously combust, and that hurt his opponent? River must be more formidable than he appears, though it looks like he's hurting a bit himself. Yeah, I really don't want to go up against him...
As he saunters up beside me, I tell Jack, "I'm third over in Glyph, I'm going to see how the matches over there are going. I could even be up soon, I don't know. You want to come with?"

I jog after Jack, thinking I hope I haven't missed anything. River's a heck of a combatant according to what I've seen.

The thing is that no matter what, aluminum and duralumin will always be useless unless you're Mistborn.
Not entirely true. If you have a 'true' aluminum or dualumin Twinborn, they could get huge bursts of Feruchemical powers from a metalmind via Allomantic burning.
Granted, we don't know what either of the internal enhancement metals do, but this is still a possibility.

"Me? I'm 22nd, which puts us both in the Glyph area. I'd say I'd love to watch your match, but that's not really an option for me - I have a debt to repay as soon as I'm out of the arena. Hey, you want so see a match with obvious effects, you should come with me back to the Waterfall cavern. I know one of the guys in the arena right now, and he's a real piece of work, lemme tell ya. He's got control over water like I've never seen - which seems appropriate, since his name's River - and he's up against a guy who literally drinks to get ready for a match."
I look back to the arena, watching for some sign of a victor. Oh well. even if this doesn't end now, I've got some more information on these contestants. Brass Chemist... good thing I don't rely on elemental attacks too much.

Pardon me, I should have been more specific in my example. Say a Lurcher (Ironpulling) stood in the middle of a room that had electrical wiring (with current), could he pull the room - ceiling and all - down around himself? Via collapsing the walls, or some other such mechanic. By contrast, could a Coinshot (Steelpushing) make a room with electrical wiring explode, like Jason in Defending Elysium did near the end?
I suspect that your point is correct - no electromagnetic ties to Allomancy, and thus no effect - but I'd like confirmation, either from Brandon or Peter.

What effects, if any, would flowing current have on metals being Ironpulled or Steelpushed? Could a Lurcher pull down a house with electrical wiring, for example?

Anybody else notice the hat Mr. Koloss Blood was wearing?
He threw away his own hat— he was wearing a knit cap underneath, aluminum peeking through the holes—then walked off, sticking Wayne’s hat on his head over the cap.Aluminum is expensive. These Vanishers are much better funded than their clothing suggests, and well informed on anti-Allomancy measures.

I smile at the man's energy, saying, "I agree with you, Jack, the Chemist has got this in the bag unless the Mage does something quick. I'm Jay, by the way." I grin a little at my silly rhyme. "That's quite a lot of copper you've got on you. Would you happen to be a Chemist as well?"
He's a little bouncy, but he seems harmless and friendly enough.

Interesting... I wonder what this mist is made of? Nothing natural - it hangs around to long, and those random pillars are great tactically. I think I'll stick aorund and watch this for a bit. Wouldn't want to miss the end of 'Adolin's match.
I take up a position to watch the match, liking what I'm seeing so far. Looks like the Feruchemist has this in the bag if the Mage doesn't change Forms quick.

College Majors

I'm realizing I haven't posted in here yet, and now I feel silly.
I'm a sophomore at Illinois State University studying Theatrical Design/Production - basically, my major is filled with people who build the things you see on stage (or on the big screen). Props, sets, lights, sound, costuming, I can and will do any of them. I've got a focus in Technical Direction, which basically means I'm learning how to gauge different materials' ability to hold weight, put sets together, and generally figure out how everything that everyone is working on fits together. I make draftings (fancy drawings with measurements, basically) and give them to a carpenter or prop-builder and they put it together out of whatever material I want.
Of course, in order to basically be everyone's boss I have to know (or be able to figure out) how to do everything. It's a lot of information, but I use it all nearly every day. So yeah, ask me how to build anything you see in a movie/game/theatre production, and I can probably figure it out. I'm actually thinking of making a Keyblade (from Kingdom Hearts) for a polystyrene carving project, but the Kingdom Key (basic Keyblade) got shot down by my instructor.
So yeah, that's me. I make stuff. A LOT of stuff.
