It's likely the transformation of garbage into food on Sel was done using Aon Shao - the Aon that means Transformation or Change. It seems similar to Soulcasting, I think, because it shares the same root - Transformation.
However, Aon Shao can do some things that, as far as we've seen, aren't possible using Soulcasting. The disguises that Raoden and Galladon use are based on Aon Shao - though "there are so many things mixed in that the base Aon is almost irrelevant." (Elantris, Ch 49) If Soulcasting can make convincing disguises, I'd be surprised.

Is the rate at which Soulcasting happens fixed? ex: does it always take X seconds to Soulcast Y amount of material, regardless of both original form and Soulcasted form?
I'm thinking if a natural Soulcaster (Jasnah, Shallan) can control the rate of transformation, it could end up being less likely to crack the gems because the Stormlight isn't draining as fast. Or more likely, if they try to Soulcast very quickly, like in combat or other stressful situations.

Would the Three Metallic Arts function the same way as we see them if Preservation and Ruin were Splintered?
This is trying to dig at if the magics of Sel functioned the same way before Devotion (syn) and Dominion's Splintering at the hands of Odium.

What are the ratios for all the metals in Mistborn? I plan on making a collection of them.
For the base metals (tin, iron, gold, etc), they're pure. Most of the alloys we don't know, with two exceptions: pewter is 91% tin, 9% lead and bronze is 75% copper, 25% tin.

I keep thinking it's the 'Essential' metals, but that is clearly wrong. Makes sense, but still wrong.

When I saw hazekiller rounds while reading Alloy the first time, I thought "Oh, those could be really handy.... wait, this is Brandon. They'll fail miserably." And they did. Oh, they did.

Okay, maybe I missed this, but how do we know where Roshar's equator is? Is it on the map somewhere?
Highlighted here, with all the ten-degree latitude marks circled.

We do have a name for Skai's shard- Dominion. There's a Brandon quote out there, I can't find it.
That comment was made before Dominion was canonized. The post you're looking for is over here,

Raw pain is inflicted on anyone who goes above the thirty foot mark. This is to force them back into the fight - those running the show don't like it when people stall too much. Yes, it is inflicted if anyone is forced up to that height.
All this does it make it a little harder to hold onto a Form.

All the caverns are fifty feet from the floor of the arena to the ceiling, but going higher than thirty results in penalties.
The rings around the arenas, which I'm calling Observation Decks, are ten feet higher than the arena floor.
Chasms are forty feet deep, but falling more than ten below the arena floor results in forfeiture, as does any burrowing below this distance.

He specifically says that he'd never carry a bridge in one of his arguments with Sadeas.
The specifics here are important: he wouldn't run a bridge straight into enemy lines unarmored. "Never ask anyone to do what you wouldn't willing do yourself" is his line, and he wouldn't do something so obviously suicidal.
That said, I think he would run bridges in full armor, and ask others to do the same.

Jack Mckinney
"Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you"
I LOVE that song, don't know why everyone cringes when they hear it though.
Jack shifts to airbender and jumps into the air, shifting to Adept Jack pushes his opponent toward the abyss and down.
With this angle he will have a very difficult time stopping, especially since a lightsaber can't grip on the ground.
The opponent careens towards the edge of the arena as Jack lands on the ground.
Tank spins to face you as he slides towards the edge of the arena, his lightsaber fading away as a mace appears in his hand. He slams the mace into the ground, its spikes arresting his motion. Tank stands back up and lets go of the mace, the lightsaber once again appearing in his hand as he charges towards you at high speed. The mace fades away from the arena floor, leaving only a hole where its spikes were.
Mulling over his statement momentarily, i reply, "Well, while we're being honest, I suppose I should admit that I had all ready found that out."
Glancing sideways at River to check his reaction, i continue, "Furthermore, I don't trust you. Not just because of the shady circumstances under which we met, but also because I've known men like you. You strike me as the scheming and conniving sort, always out for yourself. In short, a man would be a fool to put his full trust in your ilk."
Turning towards River, i press on, "That said, I'm willing to work with you if need be. I would rather work with someone I know I can't trust than one I'm unsure of. But know this, I will take whatever steps necessary to see the others out of this in one piece. Should you step one foot out of place, I will not hesitate to protect my own."
If he wants to work with me, he needs to know up these things up front. I won't be seen in a similar light to his sort.
Standing up from the bar stool, I affix a stern gaze on River and await his reply.
River:
I barely resist the urge to roll my eyes. It seems like Eerongal is exactly the hypocritical, judgmental moralist I took him for. I can't help but be reminded of Arthur, and my temper starts to flare. I am so tired of men like him judging me for barely any reason at all. Despite this, I know I need to keep my cool here, lest I prove his point.
"Very well," I say after a moment of thought. "Think what you want of me. I see there's nothing I can do to change your opinion. Despite what you may think, I'm not out to get you, so it doesn't really matter to be whether or not you trust me." I pause for another moment, plotting my next move. Perhaps I can at the very least sow some dissension in this seemingly unbreakable alliance. "To tell you the truth, even though it's is directed against me, I approve of your suspicion. This world is a dangerous place. You're lucky to have two allies you can trust so unquestionably."
Keep pours River a glass of a dark red wine and listens to your conversation for a bit before chiming in. “You two seem more alike than you make yourselves out to be. I mean, you’re both Spheremorphs, for one. There’s maybe two hundred of those in the entire world. It’s bound to create some sort of bond, yeah?” The two of you look at him curiously, and he turns to clean some of the glasses. “Just the thoughts of a Barkeep who’s been around longer than either of you. More to drink?”
"Why such poor material? There is much better to be had here." Is he worried Top will exploit him if he asks for too much?
Top reaches over to a sheelf and snatches the objects he had been examining, a small hammer and an ornately carved pen made of dark wood.
"Top will not hold it against you, whether you choose those, or decide to... upgrade."
Ambrosius
"If you are referring to the rust, that is a necessary component. As well, I try to go for a minimalist approach to gear. Thirdly, I normally don't buy stuff."
and I don't trust you. Those few things are more than I normally carry regardless.
"Though, " Ambro reaches to another shelf and picks up a wide, long leather belt, "I do need to fix my clothing a bit."
The owner approaches the pair of you, seeing you have found things to your liking. “Well, if you’ve found all you want, I’ll be happy to take your coin. If not, well, your loss. Probably of a toe.” He looks signifigantly at Ambro with his final words, then points towards the door. “Place is trapped, as is everywhere here. The benefactor doesn’t like thieves. What’s free is free, what isn’t, isn’t. Though, from what you’ve found, I may be able to part with the whole of it for… A silver fiver, perhaps. Could even toss in a few more of those belts for the same price.” He may have a bored look about him, but the owner seems to know the exact value of everything in his store.

he probably would and could alter the spikes to no longer function, so that the Koloss would stop stabbing people.
Hemalurgy is a function of the interaction between Preservation and Ruin, just like Allomancy and Feruchemy. While Sazed may be able to change how Snapping works, I doubt he could alter something so fundamental as the interaction of Shards.

Points about fiberglass and polyester resin - it's not flammable (though it will melt at 400+F) after it has cured, you can make that stuff in basically any form you want, and it's freaky sturdy. I'm making a few things out of this stuff right now, actually.

What are the percentages on the other seven Allomantic alloys?
From Final Empire:
Allomancer's pewter, however, is an alloy of ninety-one percent tin, nine percent lead.
Are the pewter Steel Alphabet Medallions made of Allomancer's pewter?

Oh, one tip for Mistborn Hazekilling: Do not take metal into a fight with a Mistborn beyond what your Allomancers will use for any reason. Hazekillers with wooden/obsidian gear are horribly outmatched, people with metal on their bodies, even just a belt buckle, die more-or-less automatically.
But if we go with a modern-day setting (read: second trilogy), then high-density plastics like those in riot shields and police batons can make a team of hazekillers roughly equal to a mistborn. It's likely this is how the SWAT team will take down the mistborn serial killer.

* In Alloy of Law, they must already have the technology for strobe lights. Take that, Tineyes.
Not necessarily, since strobe lights require both AC power and an electronic control. At the points that we've seen, everything with electricity is workable with only DC. I'll agree that it'll come along shortly, though, even if they don't have it now.

Have we? I thought it was still possible, assuming that the Lurcher remains moving at a constant velocity.
No word on if making the Lurcher move changes the math (it probably would), but here's what I was basing my statement on, bolded for emphasis.
[snip]
Hurrah! Now all you need to do is plug in a mass 'm', (for the object you wish to sling in a circle), a height 'h', (the height that the Allomancer's center of mass is above the orbiting plane) and an angle 'theta' (the angle of declination from the Allomancer's CoM to the object) and you can figure out how fast the object is traveling, 'v', and the force the Allomancer's pull is exerting on the object, T. And all of that weak stuff, like friction...ignore it!!!

Your math/physics fix for the day has been given. It is also interesting to note that holding an object in an orbit plane perpendicular to your body (or parallel to the surface) at the same height as your center of mass is impossible (with only a pulling force) when gravity is present. As soon as the object drops any fraction of distance from that height, you can put it into a stable orbit at that height, using the formulas above. (And of course, ignoring friction.
)The bolded and italicized part i took to mean you couldn't hold an object above your center of mass, either. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it's notable here that we've determined that holding a stable orbit anywhere above a Lurcher's Center of Mass is untenable, assuming you want a horizontal plane of orbit.
Now what if those of you that are closer to the physics of it played with 'skewed angle' planes of orbit? Ex: over the Lurcher's head, in front of him/her, under him/her, behind him/her, then back over the head again. Could a Pull-only shield of flying objects be viable? I think that's the burning question here.

Can I still create forms, or do I just have to stick to the already created forms?
You can make as many Forms as you want, so long as you stick to the five-Form rule: Up to five evolutions worth of Spheres. Ex: One Sphere that has evolved four times (Basic->1->2->3->4), or five Basic Spheres.
What I'll try to do is look at the Forms you make and see where they fit in the magic system. If it seems like something should be an evolution of another Form, I'll let you know.

Is it still possible for me to join? I like the idea of this world and I would really like to join. Just I'm not sure if it is too late to join.
Of course it's possible! Put up an app and I'll review it, then once it's approved we'll try and work you into the narrative we have going.
Once again, I'm sorry about the delays everybody. Finals week is coming up for me, and after that I'm free for a couple of weeks. We'll gain steam back soon.

Had a thought: what about a mass driver system to launch people into space, but instead of using electromagnets and a magnetic capsule you used Coinshots and Lurchers (inside a capsule) to move the capsule along its path. Since the path is basically a long metal tube attached to the ground that eventually arcs towards space, your Allomancers will move long before the path does. Make your capsule out of a low-density, high-strength plastic, and you could accelerate to speeds of roughly twenty thousand miles per hour (10.5 km/s, taken from the article).
This would solve a lot of the speed issues, and assuming you get some zinc Compounders working on calculating your flight, you may even be able to get places in a reasonable time frame.

That explains the numbers of it, yes, but not the actual alphabet per se, which is what I was shooting for.

You would also throw multiple planets and possibly stars out of their stable orbits, possibly killing life on said planets and accelerating the decay of the universe - just like Ruin wanted when he helped make Feruchemy.

(Edit: just in case it wasn't clear, I'm once again being over dramatic to prove a point.)

Have we actually confirmed that Seons are Splinters? For some reason I can't find the relevant quote, and that could throw a monkey wrench into this theory.
