I feel kinda the same way as Dainayah. I'm starting to think that neither of Mage or you are traitors. So I don't really want to solidify a lynch on someone who is likely innocent. If I'm wrong and one of you are traitors leaving it as a tie will likely involve another traitor, if they haven't all already voted, to show up to avoid the tie. But still doing nothing with a tied lynch doesn't necessarily appeal to me either.

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Clanky replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So with the vial of metals and the steel misting role I'm guessing that we have some worldhopping going on here? Anyone have any idea why that might be the case? Maybe the house actually has nothing to do with awakening and a mistborn/fullborn is just out there messing with everyone?- 980 replies

No problem it's too be expected and I'm actually glad that their's someone suspicious of me. I need something to help me to get in to this game more. Joining late as a pinch hitter just in time for ookla season and then immediately being afk for a couple days has really left me feeling out of it. I'm usually fine with multiple lynch options. Leads to more chaos and less chance for elims to control it as well as limiting bandwagons. I'm also not so sure that the reason for no elim kill was inactivity. I've seen it happen with active teams just because of confusion, forgetfulness, or even someone who was supposed to put in the order getting rollover time wrong. I also should be around for the last few hours of this cycle giving me time to change my vote near the end if I feel the need.

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Clanky replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So I am still in favour of exploring for the time being. I prefer that then doing nothing and waiting for the traitors to keep killing people until we can kill one of them. I have seen a couple people saying that Jondesu is acting suspicious but I think that is just how he plays. From what I've seen in MR18 there isn't too much difference. I don't have too many suspicions so far. Elenion has stood out for me but I'm going to wait till the day starts to try and do any real analysis.- 980 replies

Okay so I've kinda caught up now. As of right nowI am more suspicious of Nyali then Mage or Jondesu. Mages vote sealed the lynch on STINK followed by Nyali just placing a vote when the lynch was already in place. Prior to that the focus on polking seems odd to me. The main reason seemed to be thinking that lopen was because one of Elb/polking was a traitor. I personally wouldn't try and draw any conclusions from early elim kills either way. Also the way that Nyalis suspicions of polking went from "Actually, add Polking to my suspicion list" to a post that said only "I still think it's Polking" both with votes to "Well, Stink was second on my suspicion list, but Polking is still on top" is odd. Polking didn't do too much in that time imo to go from added to suspicion list to number 1. The justification for voting for stink late had to do with the statement earlier saying STINK was second on the suspicion list. When really all that could mean was that you posted that because STINK was garnering some suspicion and posting that might make you seem less suspicious. Placing someone on your suspicion list doesn't help to get anyone lynched or even really require them to react. Especially when no reason was given for why he's on the list.

Sorry for the disappearance. Had a very busy weekend but back now. I'll have to do a look back through last cycle before any serious analysis and Ookla season isn't helping with that

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Clanky replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Super Secret list for Telling if Object is Sentiently Awakened Attempts to communicate (Usually in a creepy way): Check! Seemingly indestructible: Check! Mysterious origins: Check! Omens of Doom: Reported (Haven't seen myself) Dangerous: Check! Smells fishy: Undetermined. Unnerving music: No. Someone willing to pay for investigation: Check! Hmmm, well this is more promising than the last few investigations at least. thought C.L Still, no fishy smell and no unnerving music so seems like a bust. Probably just another prank like those kids with their "awakened" rock. To this day I have no idea where they got that giant rocklike bug from in the first place! Anyways I have been paid enough for three days work so I'll at least stay that long. Maybe I'll see if there is any truth to these Omen sightings. Completing the checklist C.L placed it back into his satchel and set off to find more clues. It was time for some serious investigating. "Has anyone else seen these Omens?" "Oh and if you ever smell fish let me know immediately!" So I don't now if I missed it somewhere but do we know who found the second omen? As for Bugsys omen talks about Locke claiming finders credit. Does the part of the omen that reveals what type of elim is created refer to the write-up or to the message from the GM to whomever finds the omen?- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Clanky replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
From the OP " This requires the players to find the Heart of the House, as well as a method of slaying it. Neither of these can be found before the first Traitor is killed". So we still have to kill a traitor first before finding anything heart related. I'm still all for exploring as I said earlier. Even if I didn't think exploring was our best option I would still want to explore just to find out what is all hidden in this game.- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Clanky replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yep sorry I missed that. I thought it was that we just couldn't kill it until we kill an eliminator I didn't know it was also finding it. I still think it is best to explore rather than wait.- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Clanky replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That is a lot of discussion for me to catch up on. Anyways it doesn't seem like we have much to go on at this point. With only two elims I don't really think there can be any chance at all of lynching them or even getting anyone to reveal themselves. But doing nothing doesn't help us either so I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'm going to pursue a lynch this cycle. Otherwise there has been some discussion on whether we should continue exploring. I think the answer to that should be unequivocally yes. Here is why I see it that way: We cannot win until we find and destroy the heart of the house We cannot find the heart of the house without exploring Every night we don't find the heart of the house gives elims another free kill Therefore the more exploring we do the faster we find the heart and the more of us are still around to deal with it. I don't think we will find the heart until a certain amount of omens have been found regardless of how many turns we spread the exploring out over- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Clanky replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Not really sure what can really be done given that everybody is an explorer at this point except for STINKs mysterious neutral role. I'm going to be exploring tonight which is probably a given and I will start to be more active starting about 36 hours from now.- 980 replies

Geniuses Wanted- Well Read Sanderfans -with restrictions
Clanky replied to 1stBondsmith's topic in Cosmere Discussion
At the end of the first book of the Space Opera Mistborn Series Preservation will be splintered. This allows Odium/the hidden big bad (HBB) that comes after Odium to go to Scadrial and take control. Somehow Odium/HBB blocks access to the metallic arts leaving only previously stored Feruchemical attributes usable. This leads to the breakdown of the advanced society that had relied on the metallic arts for all aspects of life. Amidst this quickly degrading world Hoid gathers all the world hoppers who got trapped on Scadrial to find a way to fight off Odium/HBB and regain access to the investiture. Another major problem which will be part of the novels is with the spaceships who suddenly lose propulsion because of the lack of investiture access for unknown reasons. One such ship will be deep in unexplored territory and unexpectedly come across an inhabited planet. I.e the rediscovery of Yolen. -
Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill

I'll sign up as C.L. Anky. A very experienced certified investigator and hunter of sentient awakened objects. He was hired by an anonymous client to investigate and destroy the House on the Hill should there prove to be any unnatural awakening going on.- 980 replies

Yeah I don't see any reason to kill a independent who doesn't care about our win conditions. Phattemer hasn't even been on the shard for a couple days so I'd rather he die than an independent who can win alongside others.

Considering the advertiser is dead I don't think they can change those prices anymore.
-
You do realize that those numbers aren't the actual money the assassins get for killing someone right? It's just what Mage posted as recommended prices. The assassins don't have to follow anything about that list.
-
Considering that at least one independent, (Aonar I believe?) publicly claimed to have a scan role that could find monarchists. That makes them priorities for monarchists actually.
-
Are all the nights lasting 48 hours now?
-
That is all assuming that the numbers on that list actually correspond to how much they need before they assassinate someone. It could be mind games, or chosen randomly. It could even be that they are making it so people don't bother with a big contract on you since they won't kill you either way and they would prefer if that money made it onto someone who they are actually likely to kill.
-
This seems like it could lead to people getting targeted for theft depending on the items they "know about". I'm all for cooperation but this seems more like just giving the thieves info on who to steal from. I understand that you are just saying what items you know about but there must be some strong correlation between what you have and what you know about.
-
Doesn't your win con depend on how much money is spent on the clacks? So if you die the monarchists may still have to use the post to remain hidden and just spend more money. But I'm willing to move my vote if we have a better target. Your scan should come in handy. Did you use it at all last night?
