Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yes, I do think him voting on you is suspicious and bad, but I kinda want to wait and see what he says in response. And when he outed Flash as an Elim, he didn't say how he knew, and he was being voted on and no. 1 for the lynch at the time. And people keep saying he voted on you to slowly shift to voting on Flash, but then why'd he vote on Ecth at the beginning of the cycle and create the need in the first place?- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ouch. Wounded. I already explained my reasoning in previous cycles. I trust you since you've had generosity and haven't really shown any signs of being an Elim, but I feel like HH was really desperate when he gave up Flash, and if he knew he was evil from the beginning, why vote on you and Ecth first? I honestly believe that he was either bluffing and put out a name to survive for one more cycle, or that he was an Elim and intentionally put out Flash to get us to trust him, sacrificing his own teammate. So far I have not heard anything to the contrary from HH himself either. And how is he "trusted" besides passing us Flash? I can't think of any way that he has been validated besides that, and if my theory is true, than not that either. So my vote will stay where it is. I'm making my point clear.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Honestly I kinda agree with Ecth more than anyone right now. At least in regards to having suspicions on HH, although I'm not as sure about BR. I get that this probably won't do much, but now we've seen that the Elims are willing to kill their own to take out Generosity, so it might not be too far fetched that they gave up one of their own to survive. (Insert Maxim 20 quote here.) So yeah, I'm going to put a vote on Hemalurgic_Headshot, although I get that it probably won't change anything. I might switch it at some point to ensure that we only have one death, but we'll see how it turns out.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oooookkaaaaayyyy... Not sure what happened there. But apparently Crimsn is an Elim then? I can't think of a reason for a villager to claim like that. I do remember once when an Elim did reveal like that, betraying other Elims included. I think they still won though. So are we treating it as true but then just ignoring it for this cycle? I'm honestly not sure what to do about this one. Are we going under the assumption that she's an Elim but her claims are false? I guess I'll add my vote to Conatus. Sorry mate, but it looks like your inactivity got to you. I don't particularly have anything against him, but I want to add to the overwhelming vote, just to insure that no shenaniginnies happen. Razor Shard trekked through the thick forest, slashing invading branches and clinging vines with his sword, ignoring the trail of destruction behind him as he tried to find the lost clearing. He'd had a run-in with the same annoying scammer that had been inside the village earlier. Luckily though he'd been able to lose him at some point. He hoped the greedy pony had been bitten by his pet spiders for all the frustration he'd caused him. Finally breaking through the dense undergrowth, Razor Shard was faced with a tall monolithic rock spearing up into the night sky, shaped like a wedge pockmarked with holes that burrowed deep into the rock. Nestled inside the tunnels were visible webs shaped like either cocoons or hammocks. A vicious smile spread across his face as he inched closer, almost desperate to find a guard of some sort. Instead, he found the place completely deserted, no signs of any changelings or their captives. After some more investigation, he'd been able to find three messages inscribed into the rock with some kind of jagged instrument at different points around the rock. "Dusted Rose's Home Sweet Home," "Cheery Blosoms place!" "Silver Wolf waz here!" He'd found it, the final three changeling's identities! Before he could truly begin to celebrate, he was struck with suspicion. This all seemed too convenient. It just so happened that the changelings had inscribed their names into this incredibly obvious lair? Perhaps none of the names were true after all? And if this was the hiding place of the changelings, where were the kidnapped ponies? He shook his head ruefully and dampened down his rising surge of anger. He had no idea if this was the proper place or not, but he at least had to inform the village about his findings. Heading back into the dense copse of trees, he cast one last look back towards the tower of stone before he left it and the clearing behind.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm pretty sure he already has a death sentence on him for it. Either that or he could be an eliminator who gave up his teammate to survive. I can see why he wouldn't reveal if he was Honesty, but after stating that he has knowledge about people being eliminators, he would already be targeted by them. What it means is the village finds out if he's someone to protect, or someone desperate enough to sacrifice other people to stay alive.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
How is there a tied vote? There's two votes on Conatus and none on anybody else. He's not an Earth Pony, so he's still at two votes, and even a single vote is enough to kill somebody. Unless you're saying that secret votes by Elims could bring it to a tie, killing an Element instead? If that's so, then I'm willing to vote on Conatus as well to avoid that, but I'm still hoping that Hemalurgic_Headshot will answer how he knew Flash was an Elim. At least just saying that he has some kind of connection with Honesty, and so was informed.- 628 replies

That makes sense then, trying to stay alive, and he had mentioned it before. But then why did he vote on Ecth in the first place? And if Jondesu knew that both Flash and BR knew that Frozen Mint was laughter, wouldn't that mean that he would know as well?- 628 replies

Why not just say the "I know he's an Elim" closer to the beginning, instead of at the end when it makes you seem desperate. That was mainly what got people to vote for him. I guess it would give him more time to defend himself, but it still seems funny to me.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I... don't actually understand most of those last two sentences. When HH said that he knew that Flash was an Elim, the automatic response is to think that he has Honesty. I would honestly be surprised if they weren't already aiming for him due to that. And if he says that he has an Element or is linked with one, then that gives the village a reason to protect him and at least make sure he doesn't get voted on and die that way. And last cycle he voted for BR, saying that if she was innocent then Flash was an Elim. Then in the same cycle, he switches to Flash, saying that he was an Elim. What information did he get between halfway through the cycle and a when he voted for Flash?- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well... That happened. Okay, so I took a look back at last cycle as well, trying to find out what happened to change it so suddenly. First up in my remarks, woot! One Changeling down, indeterminate number to go! Glad we didn't lynch BR, though the last time I got on yesterday, I didn't think it was heading that direction. Second, and the main one, HH seemed really desperate last cycle. He switched votes a few times before settling on Flash, who he fingered by saying that he knew Flash was an Elim. Speaking in absolutes like that gets people's attention, and he got the lynch on Flash. Now that ended up being a good thing since Flash was an Elim, but I want to know how you knew he was an Elim. Because either you have Honesty, you are in contact with someone that you absolutely trust that does, or you're an Elim that tossed out his own comrade to save his skin. Or you were bluffing and using an absolute like that to survive. (Insert mandatory only the Sith deal in absolutes quote.) Honestly I do think you're village, but I have my suspicions that it could be otherwise, and am pretty sure that you were desperate last round. So I would like to know how you knew he was a Changeling. And I'll defend myself once you say why you're suspicious of me. Just saying, "I'm village!" won't help me at all. Razor Shard blinked awake, finding himself gazing up at the blank dirty white of the medical tent. After a few more moments, he turned his head to the side, coming nose to nose with a blackened almost skeletal face. Pause. Razor Shard flung himself off the bed on the opposite side of the changeling, trying to put the flimsy cot between him and the enemy while ignoring the dizzy feeling he got from moving too quickly. After a moment of nothing happening, he peeked over to see that the black creature was in a bed like he had been shortly before. It's eyes were closed and the hooves were fastened to the corners of the cot. They'd caught a changeling. They'd finally caught a changeling! Razor Shard suppressed his whoop of joy, not wanting to attract the attention of the nurse from before. Now he was one step closer to finding his father, one step closer to his revenge! Then he realized that since the changeling was in a coma, much like the rest of the ponies who had been fed the potion. Which meant he couldn't press it for information! Boiling with frustration, the feeling of being so close and so far, Razor Shard stalked outside of the tent. Stopping in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the main square, he took a deep breath, bringing in his anger. So he still couldn't find anything out, and the potion caused them to fall into a coma like the rest. Well then, all he had to do was find the next one and interrogate it before the village did. He set off with a happy grin and a dark look in his eyes, heading off into the Everfree forest. It was about time he located that nest.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Didn't Brightness say in her post though that was why Flash had been defending Frozen in the thread? Though I guess if you can't trust BR, you can't trust what she says there, but he did seem to be defending Frozen. Possibly the only one defending her. And we know that Rand's a villager since he's dead, but how do we know that about Drought? Frozen used Laughter on him before she died, which definitely is a huge plus in his side, but Frozen could have been fooled or made a mistake. I do agree that it speaks highly in Drought's favor, but we can't just say "He's innocent for sure 100%" because of that.- 628 replies

I can definitely understand family events, but I do recall you posting rather often. And yeah, nobody wants to vote on an innocent, but the reason we do vote is because we think that they might not be innocent. So not voting on someone could be seen as knowing they are innocent and not wanting to be fingered for being one of the people to vote for them. I understand your reasons and what you're saying, but I'll leave my vote on you for now.- 628 replies

Poor Ecth. So sad to be all alone in the world... Do we have any unicorns that could get him into a PM, either this cycle or next? If he hasn't been in any yet, then he might have some info or analysis that could change things that he hasn't had a chance to share yet. My closest suspicions would be towards Hemalurgic_Headshot as well. The only reasons I can think of for not voting would be that you don't want to be a part of the people who voted for an innocent's death, meaning you knew they were innocent, or that you honestly don't have any suspicions and think that everyone's innocent. Either way it's not good for the village, so I'm willing to put my vote out there.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
You'd argue the opposite? I was arguing that it might be an experienced player or an inexperienced one. What's left? An AI? You seem to be saying that there is at least one somewhat experienced player in the Elims, which makes sense. We probably have only 4? Maybe, people who aren't that experienced. So unless the GM specifically put all inexperienced people there, there would be at least one experienced player. We can't judge our suspicions on their experienced, but by their actions. Which I think is what you were saying in your post. And on a separate topic, I know that we need to vote to kill someone this cycle, but after lynching an Element twice in a row, I know that I, at least, am a little wary of voting again. But I know that it needs to happen or we'll never win. So does anybody have suspicions for players that we could discuss?- 628 replies

Okay, I just really felt I had to share this. You guys are saying that since they took out the experienced players, they must be new/less experienced. Why? Rand was an obvious threat, giving us really helpful strategies. So why wouldn't they kill him? And with Joe, he hadn't offered a whole lot in the thread that I recall, so if new players were Elims, they wouldn't know to kill him before he added more. There might be new guys as Elims, but I don't want us to be thinking that they must be Elims. There's other options out there. Happy Birthday Flash! And the bouncing pony was gone, leaving an annoyed Prism standing over Razor Shard. He didn't know her that well, but she didn't really seem like the type to get upset so easily. She forgave him after he didn't attend her party after all, so why was she so upset about him being attacked? Maybe she just really didn't like being interrupted? Well, he figured he'd only known her for a few days, so there was probably plenty that he didn't know yet. But now that the strange pony was gone... actually, make that both strange ponies were gone. At some point the poetic one had wandered off somewhere. Well he didn't know what was up with that. Maybe Prism knew the guy? Regardless, Razor Shard got to his hooves, a little wobbly. "Hey, you don't have to mind too much. I don't know what was up with that pony, but I'm fiiiiiii..." As he stood fully, suddenly everything started to spin and spiral down into blackness. He distantly felt his head hit something hard and could make out the faint sight of cobblestones. Oh right, head knocked into the ground, that could cause a head inju- Blackness- 628 replies

Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Not an Omake So he was still waiting for an answer from Prism when not only did another pony come out of nowhere and dramatically proclaim his love for Prism in... song? Actually that wasn't too strange in Ponyville. But after that, a strange pony tackled him out of nowhere, both tumbling to the ground in a pile, the stranger laughing of all things! Immediately wary of the giggling assaulter, Razor struggled to draw his sword, but his foreleg was trapped by the attacker. He finally looked up and saw Twilight Star, a playful pony that had apparently advanced into physical slapstick. ...Or was it just a changeling pretending to be Twilight Star! But before his struggles could resume, Twilight Star made eye contact, stuck her tongue out and giggled. "Found you~" Almost mechanically, Razor Shard's head turned to the left until he faced the shocked faces of Prism and the strange romance pony. Lovely. Just kill him now. Wait nope, he still had to hunt down his father first. But after that, if he was reminded of this day, please just murderate him already. Pretty short, but leaves plenty of room for further shenanigans.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Omake Curse you to the depths of romantic comedies, Crescent Thunder! Was what Razor Shard was thinking. He didn't quite know why, but it seemed fitting. He didn't quite understand, but for some reason he despised the lovestruck pony who was currently confessing to Prism. Maybe it was because he was attempting to begin romance during a crisis? Or perhaps he was a changeling spy, sent in to lure sweet innocent (why did he think that?) Prism away before kidnapping her! Whatever it was, he would not allow it to happen! "Nay, foul equine, though shalt not have the fair lady Prism!" After saying that, he scooped the confused girl into his arms and leapt upon a pure white horse that was standing nearby. The horse collapsed with a load groan and a creaking sound. Unfazed, Razor Shard drew his sword and pointed it into the blue sky. "Hi-ho SIlver, away!" Upon which nothing happened. From somewhere above them, a voice called out, "Oh no, my black long-brimmed hand perfect for a dashing rogue's disguise has fallen from my window!" The hat in question settled upon Razor Shard's head. He didn't know why, but it felt... right. And thus the legend of Razorro was born. Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Paranoid King I... Cannot. Does yours have enough to share with everypony coming to the party? But you've been really helpful and logical so far, Rand. I'm not saying "If Frozen's innocent then it's Randuir's fault." Or "If Frozen's innocent, then he shouldn't have been so shifty." But it was your comment that got me looking back at Frozen's posts and I ended up voting or her indirectly due to that. If Frozen does die and does turn out to be innocent, then I will accept full responsibility for my vote. But if Frozen is evil like at least three of us seem to suspect, then I will accept that as well. I also accept that you could be wrong about Frozen, QF23 case in point, but so far this game all of your actions have been logical, well-reasoned, and incredibly helpful. So I trust your judgement and that you have good reasons behind it. Finally Razor Shard had gotten the idea to go look in the art museum. Prism liked art, right? So maybe she was there? She wasn't there. Next the lake, for a good scene to draw? Nope. Maybe the main square again with the majority of ponies? Still not there! He was close to simply asking anyone he saw if they had seen her, when a flash of light caught his eye. Or more exactly, shined into his eye, temporarily blinding him. Blinking as the light faded, he glared over towards whatever had reflected the annoying beam into his eye, and noticed a mane of glittery purple hair peeking over the top of an art book. Held upside down. More specifically, an art book on how to draw accurate pony anatomy. ... Back to the point, he'd finally found the pony he'd been looking for almost the entire day. He started to walk forwards, but then stopped. Would she be mad at him? Maybe she wouldn't want to talk to him at all? But then he reaffirmed himself. If she was upset, that was the entire reason he was going to talk to her anyway! And even if she didn't talk to him, those were just his selfish feelings, and he owed her an apology. So he advanced until he was a short ways in front of Prism and then came to a stop, waiting for her to notice him. Eventually a pair of soft hazel eyes slowly emerged from the top of the book. Razor Shard swept into a deep bow. "I would like to apologize for not attending your planning party yesterday. I was..." he hesitated, "detained, by circumstances outside my control. But no matter the reason, I was still unable to keep my promise and I will do what I can to make up for it." He looked up hopefully. "I have heard that Bracken is throwing a birthday party today. If I could not attend yours yesterday, then may I have the privilege of accompanying you to the one today? Or anything else to make it up to you?" He figured that was fair, right? A party for a party? Maybe he'd try and do something else to make up for it. He'd heard that girls liked flowers, right? That was a thing, wasn't it? Maybe he'd try and get some for her if they went. It probably couldn't hurt things at least. He realized he was getting ahead of himself, and waited for her answer.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
After Rand's post, due to seeing him as trustworthy after all the help he's given, I went back and looked at all of Frozen's posts. I found that he tends to ask a lot of questions to the GM, especially about the elements. Which honestly could be curiosity, or could be him trying to find out more information. And yes those sound like the same thing but they're different to me. So partially due to his possibly elim-ish actions, and also partially due to Rand's post I will also add my vote to Frozen Mint. I just hope it doesn't end up like Straw again. How are we lynching him for something in a previous game, Flash? The evidence provided was from Cycle 1 of this game. What reputation he's gotten from previous games shows his playstyle, so if he matches that or is playing differently that gives us more information. That's why it can be hard to get a read on new players, since you don't know how they play. Razor Shard was in the town square, listening as a pony recounted how Weaver had threatened the ponies who voted on Straw with suspicion. But how else were they supposed to discover information? And there was no way for them to know that he had an element, Straw barely defended himself! He recognized the orating pony as Jeeves, a high-born pony held in high regard by the community. So far he had been incredibly helpful and offered many strategies against the changelings, so if he believed that Frozen was guilty, he was probably right. Razor Shard walked away, mentally cataloguing Weaver under "incredibly suspicious." Perhaps future revelations would reveal further information and cause him to switch his intent, but currently Weaver seemed to be the most suspicious person around. I don't know what it is, but my RP is feeling incredibly weak today. Hopefully I get my mojo back tomorrow, because I honestly just feel embarrassed of this and the last post.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, finally posting again! The main reason for me not being very active yesterday was because I was waiting for some more RP to respond to, wanting to have RP in each one of my posts. And it's been mostly game discussion so far. So far as actual suspicions go, I'm starting to get a slight read on Hemalurgic_Headshot, due to his "gut feeling" on Flash. It kinda seems like he was looking for reasons to get voting started on him. But then he also said he was mollified and backed off, which kinda ruins that I guess? So that's the strongest one I have right now, though I will admit that Flash seems kinda off as well, but I think that's just me targeting all the OOG (Out Of Game) comments and posts he makes, since I'm not used to those. But on that note... I just have to 1-up my brother PK. So: Happy Birthday! Looking forward to the Birthday Party RP. Razor Shard had been drifting around town trying to look into the other ponies, discovering which ones were changelings. So far though the only thing he had figured out was that some people were a little too accusatory and that changelings were really good at blending in. That and killing kidnapping people. At some point during the snooping, he had been handed an invitation by an excitable pony that proudly declared that a pony called Bracken was throwing a birthday party. Flipping the card over, it also said. "Everypony will be there" in what looking like really drippy red paint. How odd. Checking the card over a few more times, he realized it didn't have a time or place on it. But if everypony was going to be there, it could be the perfect chance to investigate further. But before that, he still had to find Prism and apologize for leaving her the day before, as forced as it was. It was still rude. The fact that he somehow enjoyed spending time with her had nothing to do with it, and he resolutely blocked out the part of his brain that was saying otherwise. RP shoutout to @BrightnessRadiant!- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Finally! I can get on again! First of all, I do apologize for not responding to any of the RP yesterday and completely missing the party! Ecthelion? It isn't over. And then Joe invited me for some RP, and then he died before I could get to it! Rude. Of the eliminators. Curse them and their dashingly good looks and twirlable mustaches! Next, we lost loyalty already? That's awful! That means the changelings are 1/6th of the way to victory and we lost a cool power! Straw must have been feeling so frustrated as we slowly crept in and voted on him. We'll have to ask Pinkie Pie to help make it up to him later when he wakes up. Wait, we lynched him, right? So what happens to the Element? Do the changelings get it by default, or does it move on to a different pony? It's probably been said before and I just missed it. Third, my excuse! Razor shard finally kicked the last of the sticky web off of himself, landing on the ground with a thump. The changelings had kidnapped him right underneath Prism's nose, just after she invited him to a party! That was his atonement gosh darnit! Luckily when he woke back up he'd been able to use the spike in his harness to cut his way free, although it took an entire day to do so. He had to get back to Ponyville and warn the others. And weren't they supposed to choose a pony for the Princess to investigate? And he missed that too?! Getting kidnapped sucked! Razor Shard began dashing through the thick forest which he recognized as the Everfree Forest and restrained a bit of a shiver as thin branches brushed over his coat like cold fingers of the dead. He wasn't scared, just... wary. He picked up speed. As he dashed through the forest, he missed the small pack of changelings heading back the way he had come from, holding another sack of webbing in their clawed hands. By the time he made it back to Ponyville he was panting and had scratches over his body along with leaves in his hair. "Is everyone alright?" He yelled out coming to a stop. "Did anypony get taken?" Besides me, he hadded mentally. With mournful looks, he was pointed to the main square where a large tent was set up. Razor Shard slowly advanced, pushing his way through the tent flaps. With faces like that, there was no way it was good news. Inside he found rows of cots set up, most empty, but one cot held Straw, limp as if he was in a coma. A nurse bustled over from where a stack of papers had distracted her as he came in, and Razor Shard realized he didn't know how long he'd been looking at the still body. The nurse spoke up in a snappish tone. "What are you doing, don't you know nopony is allowed to see the patients! The risk of a changeling sneaking in is too great!" Razor Shard tried to channel his dashing side. "Please marm, I was gone until just recently and don't know what happened. I'll leave right away, but could you tell me what happened to my," he swallowed on the word, but managed to get it out. "Friend? I'll leave right after, but you'd be the person most likely to know, since you've been trusted with the responsibility of keeping him safe and cared for." The nurse maintained eye contact for a short time, before looking away with a huff. "Very well, I'll tell you what happened, but I'm keeping my eye on you. The Princess herself informed me of my duty, and I won't let some lazy pony who didn't even show up to the trial yesterday make me betray the Princess' trust!" Razor Shard bowed humbly and listened carefully as she told him about Zecora and how they had accidentally betrayed the most loyal pony among them. She told him about how Straw would be fine, but he wouldn't wake up until all the changelings had been found. And she told him about how he wasn't the only pony who had been missing. Hidden Antler wasn't back either, but they had found his abandoned quiver of arrows left behind. Whatever that meant, it wasn't anything good. After the tale was finished, Razor Shard was quickly pushed out of the medical tent and told not to come back unless it was an emergency. Still partially in a daze, he trotted off, meandering through the closed shops and boarded up stores. Eventually he came to a stop in front of his own Smithy, left unattended for over a day. Yes, the changelings were here and kidnapping people. Yes they had given up own of their own and lost an Element due to it. Yes things looked bleak and were getting worse. But he would carry on and find the lost ponies like he would find his father. (He ignored the whispering voice speaking of false hopes and dead parents.) Somepony had to carry on and keep spirits high, keep them together. He remembered a pony who lived in town who loved to cheer people up with flowers. Perhaps he could find her and help her to spread some cheer around. But first, he had to find Prism and apologize for not making it to the party. Dusts, it must have looked like he left in the middle of talking to her! He didn't know why, but for some reason he didn't want her to have a bad impression of him. But before he set off, Razor Shard went inside his small home and levered up one of the floorboards. Not a loose one like you saw in movies, one that was fully nailed in. He pulled out a wrapped package and carefully unwrapped it, before positioning the scabbard carefully on his flank, opposite of his cutie mark. Things were getting dangerous now, and he would use whatever he had to ensure the threat was dealt with. Quick note, I was not attacked by changelings last night that I am aware of, or anything close to that. It is the best reason RP wise that would keep Razor Shard from the voting and from Prism's party.- 628 replies

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Elithanathile replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Razor Shard gazed in a slight sense of detachment as his panicked plea was ignored in favor of a painting. Well he was the one that attacked her, so it was only right that her artwork was placed above him in importance. And maybe promising anything in the spur (eh?) of the moment wasn't the best idea. She could still be a changeling after all, and just hiding it really well. Recovering from the sudden blow to his pride, he refocused enough to hear her slightly stumbling explanation. Wait, so she had been following him after all? But it was for a completely different reason. Though not many ponies would try to hunt down a stranger just to ask for their feedback on a painting. Although not many ponies would leave said painting unattended in a public place either. Maybe she was slightly airheaded? He straightened and tried to recall his thoughts when he first saw the painting. "It does look very well painting and I can see that you care deeply about your work. The expressions and proportions were well done, and having Princess Luna at the centerpoint of the picture grabs the viewers attention." He then tilted his head and squinted a bit. "I don't recall it being quite that... dark, when the declaration was given though. Closer to early morning than late dusk. I do suppose the coloration lends itself to a slightly damper view of the scene." He gazed once more at it, thinking about other feedback he could give. He'd knocked this innocent pony over through his own fault, and by gum if she wanted feedback he would give her the best she could get! Out of him. Other ponies could probably do better. Latching onto a few stray thoughts, he mentioned "The two points of advice I would give if you plan to keep this or frame it in some way would be to clear the cutie mark of Frank here," he pointed to the fainting pony. "Nobody wants to have that hanging over them each time somebody sees it, and the other one would be to add a changeling into the scene somewhere barely noticeable. If this is going to be saved, that little detail would help remind what it is about, and make the picture just a bit more sinister, even though we know there weren't any actually there." That we know of, went unsaid. Both of them were thinking it. At least Razor Shard thought so. Was it rude to put thoughts into other people's heads like that? He assumed it was and promptly attempted to erase the memory of ever having done so from his mind. Looking up at the pony in question, he noticed her seriously jotting down notes in a pad of paper he hadn't seen her pull out, an intent expression on her face. Waiting until she was finished and gazing up with a bright smile, he proceeded what probably would have been a show of gratitude by saying "But I still knocked you down due to my own fault, and could have damaged both you and your artwork. So is there anything I can do to make it up somehow?" Just because he wasn't offering to do anything anymore didn't mean he didn't still feel guilty after all. And taking a minute to give his inexpert advice on a painting wasn't enough to make that up. If she didn't have some way for him to make it up to her, he'd just have to owe her one the next time they met.- 628 replies
