Y'all do not know?! That means I must stay mum lest I violate the harsh spoiler rules of the Internets!

  2. I wonder how many people actually read these.

  3. Have you guys ever listened to a parody of a song without listening to the original, and then you hear the original and it sounds weird?

Doctor Zaius from the Simpsons is apparently a parody of Rock Me Amadeus. I can't stand the original.

This is a bonus, because I saw the episode before I saw Planet of the Apes, so I thought it weird that in the movie, Doctor Zaius is a huge jerk/ antagonist.

  4. I got a job!

It's not a job I can live on long-term, but it pays decently and it seems like a very positive environment. So thank you to anyone who sent out prayers or good vibes. They definitely worked. ^_^

  5. Ok. How could I stay mad at you 17th shard?
You've given me so much, and what did I do in return? Toss you aside like a spent handkerchief, turn my back on you instead of giving you a technicolor dreamcoat.

    Shameful. Just shameful.

Well, 17th shard, here is your dreamcoat, but now it's been augmented with a full panoply of sensors. Your every movement will be tracked, cataloged and analyzed.  Our predictive algorithms will be working hard behind the scenes, and before you even know you want it 17th shard, a nice frosty glass of lemonade will be at hand, because you know what? You deserve it.

Anywho, I am back, probably won't be posting a ton, but you know, all good things don't have to end.

You know what, @Orlion Blight, I actually agree that Fause part 2 is garbage, I was caught in a rare instance of talking out of my posterior, which I try to avoid, due to the fact that that kind of talk has the whiff of Shhhh, we don't say that word. Mia culpa to follow.

    How are y'all doing?

  6. I kind of hate the My Jobs feature on Indeed. It's great to know when your application was viewed, but when a prospective employer rejects your application within hours of you submitting it, that's just a little depressing. :(

  7. It's been a good run, but I think I'm going to be unplugging, throwing in the proverbial towel, bidding adieu, and logging off from the Shard for the last time.

The shard was really the only bit of Social Media that I have engaged in, and it was a fun run, but I think that I am just too old and crotchety for this Social Media thing.

It was fun giving/getting boons/banes on the Nightwatcher thread, it was fun speculating after the release of Oathbringer, it was fun over at the Cosmere the Musical thread, it was fun doing the Cosmere Character Roasts, and it was great for the most part being part of the nicest and smartest online forum on the interwebs. But all good things must end, right?

You all are great, really you are, but I am incredibly uninterested in the Cosmere© now, after Rhythm of War came out, and I fear that I'm not as big of Sanderfan as I used to be, due to the shift in emphasis from creation to marketing that has seemed to have taken place. I wish all you lovely people nothing but the best, and will now have time to read more and draw more, so don't cry for me, as they say.

Adieu, Adieu, parting is such sweet sorrow.

But without you, I will be the only person here that properly appreciates Goethe's Faust in all its glorious entirety! :sob!:

  8. Hey, if anybody has some good vibes to spare, would you mind sending them my way? I'm looking for a new job.

  9. ahaha Rhythm of War was so good that it pulled me back onto a website I haven't been active on since I was 16. Hi to the couple of people who might remember me, I'm back.

  12. I believe I am technically employed now, ending months of unemployment!

  13. Now that I've had it, I can confidentially say:

I would totally betray Narnia for Turkish Delights!

@Scarletfox I had the pink kind, which I believe is flavored with rose water?

      Either way, I enjoyed it!

  18. "We should all go back to the good old days! Live like the pioneers lived! Our forefathers had so much knowledge that's just been lost in our modern era!"

You mean like the knowledge of how much it sucks to have to use the same four small pots to heat water on the stove, continually emptying the boiling water into a tub that never seems to fill, refilling the pots, waiting for them to boil, and repeating the whole process until the tub is full, only to realize you got overzealous and now the water is too hot and you have to add more cold water until you can take your bath without roasting alive?

Yeah, bathing like the pioneers did is overrated. Can't wait for my apartment to get the water heater fixed.

I don't think the pioneers bathed much as a result!

  19. Hello, Class, and welcome to Enunciation 101.

Today's lesson: If you are performing a radio commercial inviting people to a restaurant, it's good to name one of your house specials. But be aware that if you choose a homonym for a common childhood pet and fail to enunciate it properly, you might make people across the city wonder if this restaurant really does serve goldfish.

Remember: only two letters separate Gulf Fish Pontchartrain from Gold Fish Pontchartrain.

    Enunciate. Don't serve goldfish.

  21. Chips and salsa on one side, a bowl of chocolate pudding on the other. Maybe it isn't wise to tempt fate like this.

  22. So I finally decided to read the Hydra Cap comics, and I got top say: I like them!

    Hail Hydra!

  23. After hearing the latest on Hydra Cap, I thought I should call you all together for a little service.

I like to think that Captain America—the real Captain America, not Spencer's stupid Nazi fanfic version—will survive this attack on his character.

I see it more as formal wear. There is a time and a place for it, but I don't see it as necessary in all times and places...so, you know, we agree that politeness is clothing. :)

Politeness is a bourgeois concept used to enslave the proletariat to their aristocratic whims! Throw off the shackles and seize the means of production! :P;)
