  1. Okay, adding my two cents: Kas, I know what I said about instinct earlier, and I hate to go by it... but I'm still fairly inexperienced at this, so I'll take the advice given. Not to mention sometimes you just don't have enough evidence to justify a vote. I really don't have evidence to justify my vote, and I don't think this based on any of the events that have occurred, but my instincts say that you are Skaa. I realize this puts some measure of suspicion on me, and I expect that. But I assure you all, I'm an inquisitor.
  2. I don't trust Orlok. The circumstances in which he got Ripple lynched were very suspicious, though that's common knowledge. I don't have any evidence, outside of instinct, to implicate anyone else. Seeing as instinct got ripple killed, it's obvious that we can't afford to base our votes off instinct. We need concrete evidence before we decide to lynch someone. Granted we will make mistakes, but let's minimize them.
  3. The unease that filled the cavern was contagious. Two Inquisitors had been murdered. Murdered! How was that even possible? Serech looked suspiciously at each of the individuals. "None of these fools have what it takes to join the inquisition. Half of these incompetents would faint at the thought of blood, let alone the sight of it." He muttered to himself. His thoughts turned to the murders, and the implication of the Skaa. "how could they do this?!" Serech raged, "The Bloody Skaa need to learn their place!" The caverns would run scarlet with Skaa blood. No matter how they tried to hide, he would find them. After all, that is the inquisitions job, isn't it? Well, I don't see much to say that hasn't already been said... But I'll add my opinion. The chances of killing a Skaa are low since we don't have any information that might implicate someone, and we risk killing one of our own. That being said, we can learn a great deal from a lynch first cycle. We can play it safe and not kill anyone, but we run the risk of missing valuable information. I think it's worth the risk. But I'll refrain from voting until I either have a good suspect for this cycle or someone can convince me that the risk is too great.
  4. I'll be there. I'll be with Seonid.
  5. we might as well face it, PK. Discovery is done... They're not going to just leave us alone. They won't stop until we are all eradicated (which, I might add, is extremely rude. But no hard feelings ),Then they can butcher each other without the treat of outside interference from us. PK is right, Discovery has been mostly powerless after the deaths of Cang Lu, Ableah Edr, and Ynla Ka. The only great victory that Discovery has had as of recently is the death of all the strikers, and we weren't even responsible for that, you did that yourselves. Discovery is dying, That's the truth, plain and simple.
  6. Well, now that It's known, I might as well confirm it. Yes, I am the final discoverer. And in the event that I was discovered I've prepared a roleplay. The last stone was finally placed. Kartesh's neighbors had mocked him for building his house without masons and workers, but Kartesh did not trust them to do the job correctly. He stabbed his finger into the air in front of him and began to trace. Brilliant white lines appeared wherever he wished them to. AonDor was a beautiful thing. He finished the Aon, Aon Tia with its modifiers, and grabbed hold of its center. Immediately he was transported to the roof of the centermost building of his residence. Kartesh looked at his dwelling, built in the form of Aon Rao to modify and strengthen his AonDor. This would nullify the effect of his distance from Elantris. He had known that eventually he’d be found out, and had prepared for the occasion. He was not going to go down like Ableah Edr had. If they wanted him, they’d have to fight like men! No choosing the coward’s way and shooting him down. Perfect Kartesh thought. Let them come for me now. I’d like to see them try… He experimentally drew Aon Ehe on the roof, and immediately a column of fire burst into existence. Kartesh quickly followed it up with Aon Daa and laughed as a blinding burst of light jettisoned into the sky with enough force to shake his home. “Yes” he chuckled to himself “LET THEM COME!”
  7. And while I'm posting, I suppose I'll put up my Role play. Hope you guys all enjoy it Kartesh’s heart pounded with excitement. He always felt this way right before and during a duel. Oh how he loved the thrill of fighting. The gong rang. Kartesh struck out swiftly with his sword in an attempt to disarm his opponent, his sword meeting resistance as the other duelist parried his blade. He struck again, his blade making a metallic clang as it was once again blocked by his opponent. He’s better than I am He thought. I’d better try to finish him quickly, or else this could turn ugly for me… He let his thoughts slide free, not wanting to think of what failure meant. Blades met again and again in blinding speeds, but Kartesh was losing ground. Kartesh’s opponent, a man named Emerlai, pressed his attacks with relentless and almost effortless efficiency, his face never betraying an outward emotion. I’m going to die Kartesh thought. Well, I might as well make a good show if it. He deliberately began to slow his attacks and act like he was tiring. It was an old trick of his; one he hoped would lure Emerlai into making a fatal mistake… Or speed up Emerlai’s killing him… He looked desperately for an opening, and in doing so inadvertently opened himself up to an attack. Pain lanced down his arm as Emerlai’s sword stabbed deep into the bicep muscle of his sword arm. Screaming in pain, he dropped his sword, and slipped on his own blood now flowing freely from his arm. He fell, narrowly avoiding a slash that would have easily decapitated him. The crowd roared with approval at the narrow escape, and many now jeered at Emerlai for missing such a helpless adversary with little space to run. Kartesh pushed off with his feet against the edge of the ring and slid between Emerlai’s legs. Once through, he rolled to the left and snatched up his sword with his uninjured hand. He frowned at the immobility of his non-dominant hand and slashed his blade through the air experimentally a few times. Emerlai was on his guard now, and was slowly circling Kartesh, like a bird of prey. He Leaped at Kartesh with an uppercut that narrowly missed his nose, shearing free a few hairs from his head. Kartesh took advantage of his opponent temporary imbalance to knock one of his legs out from under him. Emerlai sprawled face first, and recovered in a graceful roll to face Kartesh again, blood streaming from his now broken nose. Anger burned in his eyes as he dove for Kartesh, slamming into him with his shoulder and sending Kartesh careening into the ring wall. Dazed, and in pain, Kartesh realized that he had again dropped his sword. Vaguely aware of Emerlai standing over him, he tried to roll out of the way, only to be painfully shoved back against the wall. “You are more trouble than you are worth, filth.” Emerlai spat. “Prepare to die!” He raised his sword and brought in down intending to ram in through Kartesh’s Heart, but at the last moment Kartesh had dodged and swept his legs out from under him. In a blurring motion Kartesh seized Emerlai’s sword and plunged it through its owner’s face. The crowd was silent. After what seemed an eternity, the crowd exploded into cheers, and men began looking for those they had bet against to collect their winnings. Through it all, Kartesh swayed for a moment and thought I cannot believe that I won… That was… unexpected… The pain became too much. The cobblestones rushed up to meet him as his consciousness fled.
  8. Hey Guys, I'm responding to Bort's claim that I may be Discovery Faction. It's understandable that he might think as such due to my inactivity on the thread. And I'm not even all that active on the docs as well. In my defense this is my first game, and I'm uncomfortable posting on the thread (and a little so in the doc as well). But that hardly makes me discovery. I'm not going to reveal my role to prove my innocence, to do so would be in my eyes extremely unwise. But I will tell you, that I am certainly not Discovery Faction. You may scan me if you wish, you're free to do so. I have nothing to hide.
