  1. It's like a transmutation circle. :{D I do believe it will now become my avatar, since I don't have one yet, and that's more fun than a signature. So, is this symbol how we power our Elsecallers? Or, perhaps we take the people from reality and use that? Like a Philosopher's Stone, but with actual people we stole from reality and not just souls? That was a really long-winded reference....
  2. I do believe that the mobile site is indeed different from the regular one. However, there should be a way to get it to load the normal site as well. *sips tea and smiles helpfully* I do not, however, know if the multiquote function is the same on the rather wonky mobile site.....
  3. Earl Gray. Definitely. No cream, though, or sugar. My allegiances? I am the recently appointed Master Observer of the Observer's Guild. I sit and lurk, now with tea.
  4. Ehem... I was told you have tea? Or might have tea?
  5. Awesome. I shall not forget my items. :{D TO THE LURKING BUBBLE! I feel like someone should make tea for the lurking bubble. HII! I messaged you on MBI. :{D About the thing. BUT I MADE IT HERE. FINALLY. Dude, it took me so long. I would come here and be like 'nope too many people' but I live and I get a title for lurking, sooo....
  6. Hmm... I really like the idea. I think words already hold great power, and this is definitely a cool take on normal magic spells. Other languages are hard, but maybe a coding language? Or something similar. Since you already mentioned software it reminded me, and I bet there could be a cool way to figure out how to make it work. Obviously it would be hard to speak all the symbols in computer code, but if you figured out some spoken thing that was similar, I think it would probably be super cool. Although, the whole idea is a bit weirdly fantasy cyberpunk-y, so though I think it sounds awesome, I don't know if that's what you're going for.
  7. Much as that appeals to my Shakespeare nerd brain, I am afraid that the chance to just lurk appeals more. :{D
  8. I HEREBY JOIN THIS GROUP. It fits perfectly with the lurking I already do. :{D However, I wish to demand a title(if that works, of course. I mean, I'm not sure what that would do to the perfect lurking bubble I have created :{D ).
  9. I understand your feelings, Rain. I joined a few days ago and it's overrwhellmminnggggggg. But I think it gets better, and it's certainly a bit easier once you figure out your way around. :{D I actually had no idea there was a war going on. I must check this out now. :{D
  10. That's seriously beautiful. :{D
  11. He actually has multiple names. And friends. See, :{D> is Eugene, and 'Stacheman's other name is Mortimer. :{D
  12. You could probably weight the ends of the sleeves down and make them weapons(not even kidding). Long, bell-like sleeves are awesome weapons. You know how you could work in the tassels? So(from what I've seen from art and stuff, as well as my own designs) there's often two layers of skirts on a Vorin dress, so you could have a full skirt, and then the tassels would be the 'overskirt'.
  13. His name is 'Stacheman. :{D
  14. The only thing I can really see being a problem is the skirt. Full silk skirts are really flowy and pretty and all, but it would probably be difficult to jump around in. I bet you could do something to get them out of the way, though. The buttons on the sides could be fake metal as well. Maybe the symbols? I like using the symbols(as you can probably see....). :{D If you had eight on each side, I think that would be enough, depending on the length of the torso of the dress. Obviously it'd have to come off easily as well, so special buttons would probably be helpful.
  15. Ooh. I like that idea. So, instead of it being like a mistcloak, it would just be specially modified for Mistborn? I could see that working really well, because they have really long sleeves, so there's a lot of room there for vials and such.
  16. I'd be wearing pants underneath. It is a dress, technically, and I have problems with corsets, which is why it isn't that. I think technically it is what would be called a corset dress, if it had a corset, but the top part only looks like a corset because there's no way I'm putting myself through that kind of torture. I've kinda made it so that I think it would get out of the way in a fight, which is also why it doesn't have a full skirt(although that's more because the original skirt was absolutely hideous), but it would be a little inconvenient if it was a full dress. Thankie. That's a super cool concept. It would probably get in the way of fighting, but I might experiment with it when making another dress that already has to be ripped a bit. :{D
  17. I'm not sure which one it was, which is probably why I haven't read it. :{D MBI is Mistborn: The Inquisition. Thankie for the compliment. :{D Confusing theories are, indeed, awesome, but it isn't so much the theories as the way I talk, and my inability to remember names of things.
  18. I made a thing. It was originally a prom dress from the late 80s, and I cut it up and beaded it and stuff. The idea of a Mistdress actually came from KChan. It's kinda hard to tell, but the skirt is actually tassels. :{D There are more pictures on my tumblr.
  19. After hanging around MBI for a while I finally migrated over here as well. I predict much lurking around here, but for those who don't know me, I'm Mozy. Giant nerd, cosplayer, and human with no life. :{D I've read all but...one? of Brandon's books, but if you want to hear my theories, you must be prepared for a lot of confusing stuff. :{D
