He seems all right to me, but if he seems OP to anyone, say so. But if you wouldn't mind PMing me his weakness and secondary just so I can make sure he's not too OP (I don't share weaknesses with anyone and won't spoil the surprise of that secondary),that'd be great.

It's only a joke if nobody likes it, so it's not a joke. Edit: I want to justify a good helicopter-jump. I like helicopter jumps and want to see more of them.

It's an ordinary paperwork-filled day...until Vondra receives a report of an evil Panda army. Deciding he needs an aerial view to assess the threat, he goes up in a helicopter. While there, he sees the Panda do something reprehensible that prompts him to leap from the helicopter and confront the Panda directly.

OH! OH! KOBOLD! You know how you wanted Vondra's intro post to have him jumping out of a helicopter? What if he's jumping out of a helicopter to confront the evil Panda attempting to conquer The Dalles?

I love him already. He's strange and wacky and weird and AWESOME. Although I do have a question, and it may be the most important one of all: What is his opinion of the Kung Fu Panda movies?

That sounds about right. There are so many Sanderson books I want to read, and I will when I have more time. Warbreaker is near the top of the list. I'm working on it! I have my WIP, which I plan to resume soon and title at some point, and an idea for another world that I will flesh out once I finish my WIP and I feel like my writing skills are a bit better.

It horrifically turned the old rise-of-heroes comic book opening on its head with the cruelest Kick the Dog moment I've read in a while. Yay heresy?

I confess I teared up during that scene. The comic book fan, murdered by the very man he thought a hero—that was enough to send Steelheart into Complete Monster territory. But murdering a brony, who only wanted to make Chicago 20% cooler and thought Steelheart was the man for the job? If there is something beyond Complete Monster, that is where Steelheart is.

Notes: Those who have met Voidgaze have described the experience as "surprisingly pleasant." I tend to think she threatened them into saying that, to more easily lure victims to her clutches. David: I don't know. It just feels right, I guess. Cody: You're weird. Tia: Said the Southern Scotsman. Oh, right. I'm still not sure how I feel about this. Edit: I am a fan of Lucentia's glasses. Though I think she'd wear gold or silver frames, instead of brown ones.

Upon the files of these….unique areas of scientific research is scrawled, in red pen, a rather unscientific phrase: "There are some things man is not meant to know." Almost where? That is awesome.

This unique response on Lawrence's part has intrigued scientists since it occurred. Some postulate it represents a manifestation of latent nurturing instincts, though this hypothesis does nothing to explain Mommy's repeated demands for a loaded AK-47 upon hearing Nighthound's voice. Many scientists believe that Lawrence's reaction makes him an exception to the "survival of the fittest" theory, as they are unable to explain how an Epic who exhibited such a reaction to a mere recording has lived this long.

Nighthound. Nighthound would read that book. He would probably read it out loud to whoever happened to be standing nearby, making sure his inflection was especially creepy for the ladies.

You could write an entire novel about how awful Nighthound is. I suddenly want to rewrite the lyrics to "Shake It Off" to make it fit Voidgaze.

Sparks! I go to sleep for 8 hours and everything happens. Welcome, Panda! Like Kobold said, I would recommend starting off in The Dalles, simply because Portland is quite nearly a literal powder keg (correct use of literal because the Epics there could literally make it explode) and it would be difficult to integrate a new character seamlessly at this point. Seonid provided you with perhaps the most finely crated summary I have yet read. Basically, the plot here is extremely loose (Oregon is destroyed) leaving room for plenty of awesomeness. The RP is extremely character-driven, but we do engage in short-range planning for large events, like the Empire taking the museum. If you ever have a question for another player, ask it here or PM them. I would also recommend reading a few POV posts of the characters your character plans to meet up with first to get an idea of what you want your character's approach to be (for example, if you want him to pick a fight with Backtrack, prepare to be sorely disappointed by Backtrack's fighting skills but blown away by his non threatening threats. ) Like Edge said, player characters don't usually die (except for Scorch so far) but everyone has been good about avoiding plot armor. We have some very strong writers here, and they're all good at realistic consequences. (I take the death thing back: both Voidgaze and Lightwards have died, but they got better.) Let's see...anything else? Oh yes. I really, really look forward to seeing the Panda's first post.

Ooooohhhhhh, is that a call for more shipping? There are lots of other things Reader could do with his time, including... Ask the nearby soldiers about their home lives Attempt to set up a wine tasting and become irritated when the guards refuse to provide him with more than one type of wine Use the church kitchen to pursue his pre-Calamity dream of appearing on Chopped; become irritated when the guards decline to try his creation made from pancake mix, celery, used tea bags, and almost-expired mayonnaise Learn which of his books the guards hate the most and read them aloud, giving each character an extremely annoying voice Stare at the ceiling and wish he had his very own llama When all else fails, torment Autumn

Write fanfics about Koschei, of course, shipping him with all the people he hates. Also, I think I figured out the answer to your question about Reader and weaknesses, Kobold. Most Epic powers have failsafes, right? Steelheart can't turn living things to steel, Prof can only disintegrate inanimate objects, etc. Reader's inability to see weaknesses is what keeps him from becoming all-powerful. That's my theory, anyway. He seems like the sort who'd write. Maybe tell the soldiers he was writing about them, but it's really a heartbreaking romance about an Epic who knows secrets and the coworker he loves but pretends to hate, because the one secret he wishes he didn't know is that she doesn't love him back.

Of all the people to uncover his true name, of all the people he's loved and lost over the years...a slontze from The Dalles figures it out. (Those witch ladies in the Shakespeare episode, though. They just said his real name was "hidden," so maybe Reader couldn't get to it after all. He can't see weaknesses, so maybe the Doctor's name is like that?)

The URL thing is best. If you save the image to your computer, edit it how you want, and then upload it to an image hosting site, then you can get the URL from there.

I like the mustache, but maybe his mouth should be open? I thought it was golden lipstick at first. :/ I like him, though. pir2h, what I do is save the picture to my computer, then either use the editing program to shrink it down, or upload it to a photo hosting site like Photodump or Photobucket and shrink it there.

Strictly speaking, Koschei shouldn't have wings either, but he doesn't look as terrifying without them. (That is to say, I like the Black Jag pony with wings. I like him a lot. ) pir2h, is there any way you could shrink down Mistwraith's character icon? It's kind of big.
