    I think Kool-Aid and the bargain brand stuff are similar enough to remind her of the event. Kind of like how compliments were enough to remind Newton of what she feared, or how having someone say "You're better than this" was enough to remind Steelheart of someone who stood up to him (which may or may not have actually happened). On the other hand, Mitosis was brought down by his own music. I have no idea what would have happened had the song they used simply been in the same genre, but the fear was much more specific for him.

    Oooorrrrrrr maybe the CDC has no idea what's going on and is just handing out hazmat suits like candy. Which would be hilarious in a black-comedy sort of way.

    His name was originally Victor. Huh. Forgot about that. Am I the only one who finds it ironic that we have nicknamed the former Victor "McPhail"?

    So when is he getting a boat? Edit: Today I learned that this RP changes the way you see the world. The store at the mall called Aldo always makes me glance over my shoulder again, and the Reader section of the library makes me very angry for some reason….

    If McPhail!Backtrack bought or built a boat, I have no idea what he would name it. Not that it would matter. Everyone would call it the Phailboat.

    That's what I assumed happened. Prof even says Mitosis came from Babilar, so if that's what happened, it makes sense.

    Flame on? Here's how it would probably happen: 1. Lightwards sees Protector Pug sleeping at the top of the stairs. 2. He pauses for a long internal monologue about how that idiotic vanilla gets a dog of all things, and she's allowed it because of Funtimes. 3. Realizing Funtimes isn't there, he marches over to the pug and directs a mighty kick at her side--completely forgetting to grab the handrail. 4. He tumbles down the stairs, perhaps violently enough to trigger another resurrection. 5. Protector Pug gazes worriedly down at the fallen necromancer.

    I suppose that means I'll have to have Funtimes build a giant trampoline soon. Especially since she'll be dropping Quota onto it after having a turn. Oh my gosh. THIS MUST HAPPEN. Especially if the dog he attempts to kick is Sam's pug. Instant karma!

    I think we should all join this tradition. Not only is it symbolic of Epics throwing their morality to the wind, but it will give us an excuse to fling Epics around allow for some memorable scenes.

    Maybe a serious planning thread would be the answer here. …I was going to say I could pin it, but I pin a ton of topics already, so if I'm not careful we'll have every single topic in this forum pinned ere long. I like to pin things a bit too much. But seriously, if I set up a thread for planning only with the stipulation that ponies be kept to a minimum, do you think that would work?

    Yeah….even if I put "Planning ONLY. NO JOKES/SHIPPING/PONIES/RANDOM CHITCHAT, GUYS" at the top of each thread, there would still be a pony comic by post 15. That said, Joe does have a point. It's difficult enough to sift through all the posts in one of these threads when it's just Portland and The Dalles; if we added Astoria and even just one of the other areas we'd mentioned, the Question threads would fill up very quickly. I'm not sure what the best solution is—multiple Questions, keep the Questions for all-purpose pony comics and crack shipping and add a few planning threads, something else entirely—but I do think we need a solution. Thoughts?

    Two things, one of them a Firefight spoiler. My sister isn't confident in drawing faces just yet, but I told her she needs to gain confidence so she can draw Conflux with the pure energy of an enormous sun exploding behind him...as he tries to feed a kitten a frozen burrito. What say you all? Should she attempt this drawing?

    There really isn't a "process" for joining—except for asking politely, which you did. So welcome. I'm the wrong person to ask for names, but I'll comment on his powers in more detail later. Personally, I like him.

And let me tell you, I was so scared I would turn into a potato that I went into the pantry and I ate every box of instant potatoes I could see."

    Kobold, did Thomas Cardinal have depression, or bipolar depression? And was he ever diagnosed, or did he just exhibit signs? Was he ever referred to a university counselor? And is it okay if he taught at UC Davis, or did you want a university closer to downtown? (I picked UC Davis because of its research programs, but if you'd envisioned something different, I'll research it some more.)
