Reread is going extremely well even on Nimander stuff which is what really sapped my full enjoyment of bk 8(even worse then Mybe stuff in 3 for me) on 1st read. Only on pg 341 so not much progress from last post. Been busy yesterday and then played lots of No Mans Sky today oh ha wrong message board. I was on pg 318 2 days ago on Malazan board

Went ahead and bought No Mans Sky used since it’s finally what they shipped it as after this latest big update. I wanted it on my Xbox since it’s nothing but a dust collecter(and likely to remain so till Anthem) but they didn’t have any except for PS4 and I wasn’t gonna pass up $18.95.

It’s stupid that my BAM carries no ICE. Only bookstore in Lake Charles and the have nothing I’m ever looking for these past few years. Was in early today to look for WH40K books and guess what.. fail. They had book 39 of some authors set but not 1-38.

On pg 214. This reread is going very well when it’s going very well. Lots and lots of brooding/philosophy mumbo jumbo can cause me to stop though. Quite a lot of it in TTH. Dang I dread cracking open FoL for the 1st time later on in this massive Malazan re/read.

100 + pgs in and I’m enjoying it though I didn’t mind it at this point the 1st time. Nice to be back on Gena. This book is killing my hands. Heavy TPB ed.

That’s pretty much what the convo I’m talking about in GotM was about but at that time when it was the only book you don’t really know the epic scope of what the series was gonna be about. It’s not till a reread that one can grasp what Tool was saying(imo). i didn’t like having this stuff turned upside down at the time. We will see eventually how I take the reread. ive got a headache so I’m not typing very coherently about what I’m trying to say about epic scope.

I def had problems enjoying FoD after having built up the info from 1-10. It clashed with my brain to much at the time and I loathed the book. Haven’t read FoL yet. I honestly wasn’t even go to reread FoD in this massive reread until I reread a certain conversation between Tool and Lorn in GotM. FoD is the only book I actually hated.

That meshes I’m sure. rereading FoD fills me with even more dread then TTH cause I just down right disliked it. Will be quite awhile before I get around to it again. Pretty sure 8-10 mixed with ICE 3-6 will take me into 2019 unless I just zen out and become a speed reader. AND not read other rusting books at the same time lol got to order Dancer bks to

Ok now it’s time for the reread of TTH and I’m both dreading and curious to see how it’s going to go. It was/is easily my least fav of the 10 and I always hear this changes on 2nd trip. We shall see. oh and for rust and giggles I spent 155 days reading RotCG. Either from one word or 113pgs(last night) a day. That’s a long time.

Starting Toll the Hounds and will prob start Outlander 4 at some point soon as well.

Welp I have just officially passed the max progress I made on my 2nd attempt which was pg 478. I still had my page marker in. Going smooth now that it’s the only book I’m reading.

If your reading on paper make sure you check bk 3 so you don’t buy a defective copy like I did.

Ah yeah I was thinking it was prob a ICE thing. Didn’t ring any bells from past reads.

I’m actually quite enjoying it at present. The Guard is invading Unta and it’s quite action packed.

See going smoothly now that it’s the only book I’m reading. Around pg 280.

Hey atleast I read 30 pgs of Return last night which is wayyyyyy more progress I’d make each day reading Fitz. i ll speed it up now

Have finished my Fitz 1-9 power read. There was some really great moments in 7-9(I steamed through the last 400+ pgs of 9 these past 3 days) but it was easily my least favorite of the 3 trilogies! now I must focus on finishing Return of the Crimson Guard without picking up another book as well. I hope I can do this but 30 minutes after putting up Fitz 9 I already want to pick up Outlander 4.
