Hmmm....after reading Junior's post regarding what Rshara overheard at the San Fran signing, I am starting to re-think the entire explanation that the Spren in the shardblade's are dead/broken. What if they TOO are being tortured by Odium's yucky sprenlings somewhere in the cognitive realm? I know we have heard from Pattern and Syl that the broken spren are impossible to gather information from, but what if the real cause for their crazy is not merely being abandoned by their human via broken oaths? What if the act of breaking the oath in its entirety opens up the spren to be susceptible to torture by the bad spren? It would make sense that what happened in real life to the heralds could happen to the cognitive counterparts of the KR.....and if Adolin actually does wake up the spren in his shard, maybe he will be able to help piece Taln back together as well? Just... You know....thinking out loud on a message board again....sigh

And....instead of sucking in Stormlight, what if Adolin's body synthesizes only that yummy blue wine??? Did Renarin see the future and study up on that one, or what?!?

Soooo....never joined a fan site, but I have SO MANY theories, ideas, and thoughts (spren) floating around in my head that I had to get on board! I have read all of B.S.' works, and been thoroughly impressed, but no epic fantasy book since WoT has been able to capture my imagination and mental attention in such a way as the Stormlight Archive. Since indoctrinating my husband, you should hear some of our arguments where he tells me "stop treating me like a dark eyes!!!" since I have blue and he has brown eyes.....oh....nerd love. Anyway, since finishing WoR via written word and audio, I have been left with a very unsettled feeling (no spoilers) and I have to figure out if anyone else thinks the same things!?! Since my husband and I can't agree on any theories, I need to see what everyone else thinks!!! Thanks for hosting me, 7th Shard!!!
