I really like your theory. It also ties with my thoughts about some things. If you're right Drabs can't tap Nicrosilminds. It also indicates that by storing Investiture you don't just store the ability to burn or tap ONE metal but all of your abilities, which seems reasonable to me because which Allomantic or Feruchemical ability you have is part of your spiritweb. In Spiritual Realm Investiture is always the same and Mistborns are more Invested than Mistlings. So I think Investiture itself doesn't differenciate between different Mistlings e.g. The idea of leaking Investiture is also interesting. We know that burning impure metals or alloys of a wrong composition is not as effectiv as burning pure metals. So maybe using impure metals as metalminds leads to leaking Investiture in the way you pointed out.

I think the question on how invasive this metalminds is pretty important. So what happens if someone who taps an unsealed metalmind is killed with a spike for hemalurgic use while doing so. If tapping the nicrosil metalmind changes your spiritweb temporarely you could steal an ability this person doesn't own...if it connects in another way to the spiritweb or if something else is going on, this shouldn't be possible. But imagine the possibilities of the first idea. By using one investured metalmind you could create a bunch of hemalurgic spikes, you just need a lot of victims. And these doesn't have to have any magical abilities. And if they tap the metalmind to get a greater amount of investiture than usual you maybe could create a spike which could be used to become a more powerful Allomancer or Feruchemist than usual.

I'd say jag519 is right. By burning an invested nicrosil metalmind you would get a lot investiture, but you have to store it again in another nicrosil metalmind. If you have enough nicrosil, you could repeat it again and again and again...If I remember right, that's the way TLR gained his “eternal“ life (by storing youth). I'm wondering if having so much investiture is in a way similar to burning duralumin. Beeing a more powerful Allomancer means that you're able to get more power out of the same amount of metal or being able to burn more metal at the same time, I'm not sure about that. For example a Fullborn could store his investiture over years and tap the nicrosil metalmind in a fight to get the whole investiture he stored in one moment. Depending on how investiture affects your abilities as an Allomancer he could burn all of his steel for a powerful push (note that he can still decide how much he wants to burn, which is a huge advantage over duralumin) or he would be able to burn just a small amount of his steel and also creates an extremly powerful push (if it works this way there is nearly no limitation to the force of the push, not to mention other Allomancy) Sorry for running of the topic...is there already any thread about this?

Maybe Obliteration is the reason for the apocalypse in Apocalypse Guard... And maybe the Reckoners series are actually Cosmere because the Cosmere is just one of the far off dimensions... And maybe Brandon is just trolling us at all...

Could we think about time bubbles like a kind of dynamic force field? The idea is when an object pierces the edge of a time bubble the force field is broken at this point and would immediately close again at the weakest point (like the back of a bullet) and reshape to its original form while pushing every object out of its way. So if a bullet didn't hit the bubble in an angel of exactly 90° it would be pushed only on a part of its rim which would cause it to change direction. But in this case every single object is either in or out of the bubble and if you enter a bubble you would be pushed inside it in the moment you touched it. I don't remember any WoB about people or greater objects leaving or entering a time bubble, that provide any information here. (I just began reading BoM and SH will be the next. So if there are any clues I don't know about them)

English is not my mother tongue, so please forbear. Unfortunatley Sanderson seems not be very popular here in Germany. I met exactly two people who even heard about him without my recommondation. The first Sanderson book I read was Elantris...five or six years ago. I loved it, but at this time I had some other books to read and so I didn't think about the author anymore. One year later I was looking for good books, so I googled around and found an announcement for WoK. Then I realized that I knew this author and I started to inhale his books. I started with mistborn and WoK. When I read Warkbreaker I noticed that I already heard the name Hoid...well, it was rather a shadow of an association. At first I thought I was mistaken about it. Then I asked Google...and Google told me: Don't ask me! Ask 17th Shard! Since then I've been visiting this forum sometimes more, sometimes less, thought my thoughts, dumped them, thought other thoughts and found them confirmed. I haven't seen much of Britt Robertson as well, but she looks like I imagined Megan. Ken Watanabe is the asian guy from Inception. In my head Nightwielder was cold and calculating and I think this is the way he would be as Nightwielder. Maybe I just associated Strathairn with Prof because of the series Alphas

I really love the idea of Liam Neeson as Prof, but David Strathairn is exactly how I imagined him. For Megan I think about Britt Robertson and I'm sure Ken Watanabe would be a perfect Nightwielder. Just noticed: I'm crawling through this forum for 3 years or so and this ist my first post
