  1. Thanks. Now I just need to make an Upgrade pony so I can make zany time travel comics.
  2. See this? This is exactly what I'm hoping to see in the second Mistborn trilogy. A modern-esque society adapting to the Metallic Arts in little ways like that. I'll be glad to see incredible feats of Allomantic engineering; I'm excited to see a Misting SWAT team in all its glorious action. But what you just described is what really makes me wish for those future books.
  3. He's awesome. Following TwiLyght's glorious example, I threw together Timeport Pony Mark I. Open for critique. This is pleasing to mine eyes. Though TwiLyght's in charge of this sort of thing.
  4. When you combine them you get "Voidbreaker."
  5. Why the Calamity would I be mad? (Happens all the time. Don't worry about it. ) Here it is.
  6. I have confidence in your ability to make him adequately despicable.
  7. Aww look at her she's so cute and friendly! And she even has a sunshine cutie mark! How could such a cute creature be involved with Funtimes' tragic backstory? ... Oh Calamity. She's dead, isn't she?
  8. * tomfoolery-proof force fields activated * Also, I just remembered that Timeport still doesn't have a pony.
  9. I'm not quite sure. Long enough for people to start shipping him?
  10. Any chance you'll reveal him/her early, like you did with Koschei?
  11. When I use the site on my Kindle, I never upvote any post without zooming in to an almost ludicrous degree. I've never made an accidental downvote yet! ...Actually, I still have every now and then. But most of the time I accidentally downvote year-old posts that nobody's checking on anyway, so that makes it OK I think.
  12. Wow. Upvote for a very well thought out plan and scenario. Lightwards would definitely reanimate any member of Vanilla Sabotage given half a chance. It would appease him on a base level to see Sam staring into space with the vacant Warrior look, or having Remington meekly run errands for him. Lightwards, first and foremost, is a man who wants to control others. Of course, he'd realize the amount of trouble he'd be in if Funtimes found out. So the first thing he'd do is find Funtimes, explain to her how new Epics had invaded the Empire and murdered her friend, and then offer her the newly resurrected Warrior as a peace offering. He'd then try his utmost to channel her rage into tracking down the invaders and annihilating them.
  13. If you're a terrible person I must be a complete monster, since I helped plan it.
  14. He's a funnily insecure kind of megalomaniac, isn't he?
  15. Lightwards isn't creepy or cultish at all. He just has a healthy dose of self-confidence.
  16. Question: what would Paladin think of Lightwards? Lightwards is most certainly not a cult leader, but he is a tyrannous High Epic who suffers from a borderline messianic complex. How much effort would Paladin put into taking him down?
  17. * headcanon accepted *
  18. I think you're doing an awesome job of not doing anything like that. Anyway, off to go read the huge Team Paladin post in The Dalles.
  19. * stares dumbly at the screen * Um, right. The thing. The thing that I am doing to set up the other thing. ... I don't quite remember what my part of the thing was. I think it involves [DATA EXPUNGED]? You should probably remind me in the PM thread, since I seem to be utterly brain dead here.
  20. Really tough choices... I can't express how tempting it is to simply say "Twinawesome." But in the interest of playing by the rules... For the reasons eloquently laid out by others before me, electrum is very tempting. In fact, if I were genuinely offered this choice, I'm fairly sure that I would become a Pinnacle Ferring. The ability to choose which days to procrastinate and which days to be productive is simply too tempting to pass up. Honorable mentions: pewter, because when I'm not killing time on the Internet I'm doing farm work. The muscles I'm atrophying during computer time would really come in handy when carrying logs or buckets. Also, brass. As a Firesoul Ferring, I expect I would be immune to the brutal Texan summers and impervious to the chill nights of winter. I would be unstoppable... or at least, a little more comfortable year round.
  21. He probably would go, but I hope you don't have much attachment to the current instructor. He/she might be a little more Warrior-y by the end of the semester. I guess that depends on whether Sandman strips people down to their core to see their deepest fears, or if he simply picks whatever happens to be plaguing them the most at a specific point. At the moment Backtrack is extremely terrified of Koschei, Lightwards, and Nightound. However, he's spent most of his post-Calamity life being terrified of some Epic or another. At his core, the thing that terrifies him most is being rejected and disrespected. There's a pretty solid chance of him seeing an unrequited crush from his high school days telling him his sunglasses look stupid. As for other characters... Sam would see either Quasar or CorpseMaker. Probably CM, since he's still alive and she has a fairly solid chance of running into him again. Revolution would see her home community going up in flames, and Aldo the Enigmatic would see a crowd booing him off stage.
  22. Great. I think I'm going to have Remington's nightmare too. It's very possible that Lightwards would have those flashbacks again. Möbius, Subbly, and Quickslide would feature prominently; he might also have a more basic nightmare about being trapped in the dark void he goes to before he resurrects. In any case, it would be a very distressing experience that would make him very murderous upon awakening.
  23. Honestly, Sandman opens up a lot of intriguing opportunities in the RP, just with seeing what different characters fear the most. Would Remington dream about Koschei? Would Panacea dream of a world filled with beaten and battered people? What under Calamity would Funtimes dream about? I'm still wondering if this is canon, and whether Backtrack should notice it next time he's in Portland.
  24. I like long posts. It's hard to predict what the state of The Dalles might be by that point, making it even harder to say how Paladin could be brought in. How does Team Paladin generally enter a city? Do they barge in as flamboyantly as possible, or do they stealthily infiltrate a city before making their presences known? Koschei's mother sounds like she had pretty badchull drapes. Can Toymaker create a replica of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to rampage through Portland? Please tell me she can. That would be dark. Little Sandman has quite the potential for shining spotlights on other characters' deepest fears. I vote he does this to Nighthound as soon as possible. As if Funtimes would wait until St. Patrick's Day to do that.
  25. Fact: Nighthound is a creepiness Feruchemist, capable of storing his innate creep factor and unleashing concentrated amounts of it on choice occasions. I'm assuming El Internet Denizen grows so fed up with Nighthound's creepiness, that he deletes Oregon just to get rid of him? Because that is a thing that would make sense. That actually makes me wonder what Nathan would see if Sandman!Max put him to sleep. Would he have nightmares about being strapped to a table with Fortuity looming over him? Or would he dream about more recent concerns, like Nighthound and Lightwards? Hmm, I should start a PM chain with Fatebreaker and find out... I hope the RP is still going by St. Patrick's Day 2015. Because methinks I have the perfect celebration saved to my computer now.
