  1. Darn. * resigned sigh * Ah well. It still sounds awesome.
  2. I vote we see Big Al in his glory. He could block bullets with instantaneous walls of McMuffins, and blast enemies out of his way with concentrated jets of greasy meat. If the CM war really does take out Portland, what will that mean for Altermind and Thoughttown? I know the idea of AM dying with his city has been brought up before, but I'm not sure if a plan was ever created for this.
  3. True, but at the time CM's faction was a ragtag gang of loosely connected Epics, not a real empire like he's got now. My understanding is that they spent more time fighting rivals like Gazerbeam and Quasar then establishing infrastructure. While we're only specifically told about High Epics' glory, I imagine that the tense, energetic feeling we're informed about would carry true for a variety of Epics. I think I'd be equally terrified if Electro was attacking me with lightning bolts as I would be about Nightwielder throwing shadow-spikes at me. Nighthound in his glory? Please tell me this sequence will end with the sentence "And then Nighthound died."
  4. Will there ever be a "What Happened in Astoria" thread? They could be put to good use there, if such a thing ever exists. Certainly. I imagine the part of town Lightwards currently occupies as being very decadent and mostly forgotten by the rest of Portland. Altermind and CorpseMaker's territories are probably far more developed. I certainly intend for Lightwards to be shown "in his glory" during the war. During the CM war he'll be fighting harder than he's ever fought before, and we'll see the full extent of his power.
  5. Best Jossed fan theory ever. (Really though, you should spend more time theorizing. Your sense of reasoning is impeccable.)
  6. If you genuinely figured out how to tap the power of Feruchemy in the real world, you will officially be the Greatest Sanderfan Ever.
  7. You're assuming that Nighthound might be possessed by a demon, rather than the other way around. Nighthound's sort of the Chuck Norris of evil. That makes a lot of sense. Edgedancer, care to take this opportunity to RAFO us all?
  8. Sheesh, what do you have against monks TwiLyght? You scarcely know them but you're ready to sentence them to spending time with Nighthound. Though what really scares me is that there's someone in Oregon powerful enough to force Nighthound into an undesirable marriage. I'm going to hope that this was before Calamity.
  9. Granted. But being ignorant of the Nightwatcher and her ways, the police arrest you for shoplifting. I wish for a PokeBall that works on strangers' pets.
  10. ...I have no idea why I'm laughing so hard at this. Take an upvote from the lurking kobold king.
  11. I'd love to see the look on CM's face if Streetwise interrupted the day's activities with a report that a random guy in a pick up truck just drove into town. I guess what I'm saying is, Streetwise has no reason to suspect it's worth his bosses' attention.
  12. It would be interesting to see Remington and Reader re-united later in the RP. (Really, it would be neat to see how the whole of Team Funacid would react to him. I definitely foresee Sam throwing a shoe at him the first time he makes a snide remark about "daddy issues.") In case you decide to use it, I had it shrunken down to suitable icon size:
  13. Awesome post. I feel obligated to repeat the oft-mentioned observation that Reader is a slontze. Character icon for the Unicyclist. Even harder than Funtimes. Maybe a scaled-down version of this? Alternately, I'm sure there's a Darth Vader face icon somewhere on the Internet.
  14. I'm not solidly sure what Lightwards is doing. I suppose he'll be heading back to the Museum with Lucentia, somehow killing time for a few hours, and then heading to the Sadry residence come nightfall. If you want to start the time skip now, then go ahead. I can catch up after the fact.
  15. And behold, Lightwards did live forever; centuries later, the descendants of Oregon refugees would celebrate Greenhat Day. On this annual occasion, a scarecrow would be outfitted with the most ridiculous green hat available, would be riddled with bullet holes, and then incinerated in a glorious bonfire while the village youths chanted "Meanieface, meanieface" over and over again. While not quite as festive as "And Then Nighthound Died Day," Greenhat Day was still one of the most important holidays in post-Oregon culture for many, many years.
  16. ^ expert's extrapolation of the RP's final battle ^
  17. We should all be glad Backtrack isn't here to give Vanilla Sabotage a temporal tour guide. "And to your left, you'll see the brutal murder of the Sadry family yesterday evening. Ouch, I would not want to get eviscerated by a vulture like that. Now, to your right and six years ago, you'll see the High Epic Quasar vaporizing people. What a slontze, am I right? "... "Why are you all looking at me like that?"
  18. Am I to presume Funtimes is going to the Sadry's soon? Because Lightwards is about to head in that direction as well.
  19. The blood and most of the broken glass would have stayed. Lightwards likes a clean work space, which is why he cleaned off empty cans and put them in the trash. The blood and broken window wouldn't have been in his way, so he would have ignored them. Have fun!
  20. --Rated "N" for Nightmare Inducing.
  21. Darn. I don't have many enviable Epics to call dibs on, do I? My choices are limited between being a stuffy necromancer with PTSD, a whiny Epic in pink sunglasses whose main power is having awful days, and a cheesy stage magician with a long twirly mustache. I guess I'll be a pacifist vegetarian hippie?
  22. I'm probably sounding like a brain-damaged Synthesia broken record now, but again, awesome. * lives in small-town Texas and has never seen a copy of Steelheart in person *
  23. Me too. I thought I knew every piece of Firefight information there was, but I have repeatedly been proven wrong. (Though given that the extent of my searching has been reading the summary on Sanderson's website, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. ) Just to warn you guys in advance, I probably won't be online at all for a couple of days after January 6th.
  24. Awesome. Where did you get all this information? I'm really interested in giving it a look, if at all possible.
  25. Oh storms yes. Finding out about the awesome Epics he so casually namedropped is one of the things I'm most looking forward to in that book.
