  1. She's awesome! I have a goat.
  2. More like a sir than Earl Greyback. Here's my cat Kitsune lodging herself in a sandal:
  3. In lieu of the 's that I don't have, are three smilies and a pug eating a banana: :D
  4. But... what about those of us who ran into our quota?
  5. Which scene? There were a bunch of scenes that made me go or even
  6. Mobius can manipulate gravity, so she could fly using the method as the Windrunners if she wanted to. (She'd much rather teleport, though.) As for Sunburst... well, fire Epics and intangibility Epics can fly, so it wouldn't surprise me if an Epic who could convert herself into pure energy could do the same. My most popular post was the "Where's WalDo" thread. 33 upvotes, last time I checked. (And I check more often than is healthy. )
  7. Just so you know, any bomb built using Sunburst's DNA must be called the Vive la Revolution. I think The Dalles would have assimilated the very small towns around it like Dufur, but would have kept a very low profile across the rest of the state. That means no exporting or importing, and if rumors began to spread regardless, Vondra might even require anyone leaving the city to receive a permit, lest immigrating citizens bring undue attention upon them. I remember that. I want to upvote it all over again.
  8. "You are very frightened, young padawan. Fear leads to anxiety. Anxiety leads to hunger. Hunger leads to delicious dairy products. Delicious dairy products lead only to the Dark Side."
  9. That fight would be... argh, what's a synonym for epic? It's hard expressing how awesome a fight between Epics would be without resorting to puns. If the Unicyclist, Revolution, AND Remington all became Epics, we'd be forced to assume that Funtimes is a second Calamity who turns every vanilla she speaks to into an Epic. And we'd then have to separate her from the rest of Vanilla Sabotage, lest Oregon suffer the scourges of Darkrose and Berry Sperry.
  10. That is seriously awesome. I don't suppose you've ever offered someone a jelly baby while in costume? Cool. (And for the record, I'd support the Cheddar Chancellor as the tyrant over Tillamook. )
  11. You have a Fourth Doctor outfit? You just acquired at least another bag of jelly babies' worth of awesomeness in my mind. Concerning what happened in Eugene and Gresham: could we perhaps simply make a list of Oregon cities and write something vague about their status? That way we don't have to tie ourselves into a corner now; it was very fun expanding into The Dalles and coming up with a whole new flavor and atmosphere for the city. Perhaps we should just make a chart like this: Portland: Divided, frequent turf wars Astoria: Strict tyranny The Dalles: vanilla-run and under martial law Tillamook: Strict tyranny Eugene: Divided, frequent turf wars Gresham: Strict tyranny And so forth. That way we can an idea of what's happening in Oregon, while still giving us a lot of freedom when the time comes to actually expand into a region.
  12. That sounds good. I no very little about Oregon geography, but according to Wikipedia there's also Eugene and Gresham, both of which having over 100, 000 citizens before Calamity. Tillamook had a population of over four thousand pre-Calamity; Funtimes' cottage is located just outside of it, I believe? Has its ultimate fate been established? (Cities destroyed before the RP's beginning? Where's the fun in that? )
  13. That makes a lot of sense to me. Headcanon accepted. Should we perhaps come up with a revised list of Oregon's top ten largest cities? I'm not saying we should flesh out the whole map before we're ready to expand, but it couldn't hurt to have an accepted standard for where most of the state's population is situated nowadays. Characters like Vondra and Lucentia seem like the types to keep as close a watch as they can on the rest of the state, just so they can be prepared for protecting their cities should the need arise. And it's always awkward when characters should logically possess information that the writers are clueless about.
  14. To be fair, his name is still the one on our logo. I'm pretty sure Quiver has for almost as long as I've been on the forum, actually. Concerning my statement above: Madras is the 70th largest. Portland is the biggest by population, but it's the only one of Oregon's top ten largest cities that's been featured in the RP. I guess what I'm saying is, we have enough ground to cover to keep us occupied for the next decade.
  15. How could we even stand such normalcy? So... scrolling through a list of Oregon cities, I found that The Dalles is only the 38th largest city in the state. Astoria is only the 52nd. To the best of my knowledge, no one has any idea what's going on in Salem, Eugene, Gresham, Oregon City, or practically any other part of the state.
  16. I remember the days before ponies. I remember a time when Voidus had a red Inquisitor face as his profile pic; I remember when you had a TARDIS; I remember when Edgedancer was just a Surgebinder glyph on the screen. I remember being hesitant to allow Lightwards to reanimate dinosaurs because I wasn't sure whether the RP's rules would permit it. I remember a time when the death of the Sadry's was one of the most violent posts in the game. I remember a time when I was convinced that any minute now, Funtimes would go berserk and would start killing Nathan and everybody else. How things have changed.
  17. Huh. It's pretty weird seeing back to that strange time when I was uninitiated.
  18. Granted. It is enshrined in a bookstore in the city of Honiara, capital city of the Solomon Islands in the Pacific. You can pick it up and take it home as soon as you can get there. I wish for the ability to gain wishes via falling stars, tossing coins into wells, blowing out birthday candles, and all other folkloric methods of acquiring wishes.
  19. Let's take a look at precisely what he wants in a lover... By my calculations, Möbius and Sunburst would just as easily fit his criteria. So Flashpoint may need to be a little more precise unless he wants a series of very terrifying dates.
  20. Upvotes are mysterious things, especially on this board. I'm beginning to agree with TwiLyght's assertion that the monkey that picks Returned names is the only one with real voting power. Case in point: the first posts in What Happened in Portland and What Happened in The Dalles still aren't popular posts. How could this be? They're among the best-written on the forum, and are the easiest to find of all RP posts.
  21. Double post answering the question that no one asked: Yes, Sam would make fun of Darkrose.
  22. So you're saying that pun threads don't have much of a Pull on you?
  23. That is quite conceivably the case. Just because I can, here's a Darkrose pony.
  24. There exists on the forum multiple roleplays based around members' original settings; none are at all thought through and all are shamelessly derivative. In one particularly heinous setting created by Ms. Voidus, Kobold Pauper has designed what is widely known as the least interesting fantasy race ever created. Called the "chiskreven," the creatures are utterly identical to humans in every way, save for bright patches of feathers around their arms. They are all tall, muscular, and blonde, who run around a jungle wearing loin cloths. For reasons that Kobold Pauper has consistently failed to explain, they are capable of flight, super strength, teleportation, and laser vision. (Kobold Pauper also has a limitless upvote quota, unlike his royal counterpart who's unable to upvote any of the fantastic mirrorverse posts in his verse's version of the Answers thread. )
  25. The entire forum is a hate site dedicated against Brendan Senderson, widely regarded as a talentless hack who couldn't put two words together.
