  1. Ooh, I know how we can resolve this plot line! Simply have Shiny fall in love with Vondra!
  2. "I'll have Dewhickey whip you up some parachutes. After a few dates I'm sure you'll be ready to participate in Helicopter-Jumping Mondays. Heck, after a month maybe you'll be fit to be my sparring partner in the official judo room."
  3. "Once. It made me into the happy-go-lucky, well-adjusted soldier I am today."
  4. Autumn would be safe in the decision to back off at this point, for what it's worth. There are a lot of armed men there plus Arsenal, all of whom would put a stop to anything Autumn's uncomfortable with.
  5. Then I guess we should embrace the fanservice.* * And by fanservice, I'm referring to all our fans that desperately want to see Arsenal's head explode.
  6. Up to you then, Twi. Should I edit the post to have Arsenal assign an escort, or does Autumn need to attend Shiny Sparkle's Academy of Kissing?
  7. Yes. Don't take this the wrong way, but how many other ponies with snake-hooves do you think I spend my time ponifying?
  8. Dear Princess Celestia. Today I learned I'm not nearly as skilled with Microsoft Paint as I think I am. Your faithful student, Kobold King.
  9. Does the phrase "Epic bromance" mean anything to you?
  10. Should I edit the post to have him assign her an escort, then? I should probably try to get a Lightwards post up.
  11. Arsenal's thoughts on Shiny Sparkle: I was thinking he might send her with an armed member of the City Guard to guide her to the right part of town and ID Deathwish.
  12. As far as Arsenal is concerned, Autumn should have risked being blown up before violating city security in such a heinous way. He's not very understanding.
  13. Hmm, let me think about that one for a minute... Absolutely. Dragging the city counselor out of the HQ and into an ongoing Epic war zone would be a very bad idea. Not as bad as taking an unscreened Epic into the HQ, but still pretty bad and Arsenal will have none of it.
  14. Hmm... maybe Lightwards could have her check up on Backtrack in exchange for resurrecting Numnums?
  15. I think doing that would officially make Autumn Arsenal's archnemesis.
  16. Um... uh... hrrr... well... I can get Vondra to the HQ after Shiny leaves, I guess. Just to remove that pesky waiting period.
  17. Mine looks something like this: The Cosmere for a digital age.
  18. Those are filling in for the F-bombs Deathwish should realistically be spraying right now. We need a curse that indicates a higher level of emotion than "sparks," so we've taken to using the words that we know most other RPers are already familiar with that have the virtue of not being blocked by the profanity filters. EDIT: Also, finally read Voidgazes' updated biography on the wiki. Not for the first time, I want to give her a hug.
  19. Glass was not an idiot. This Arsenal was certain of. She had to know just how unsuitable her excuses were. No Epic who had not been screened by Reader should be standing in this command center, with no exceptions. Apparently realizing how flimsy her hurried excuse was, she began a full report on the breathtaking breaches of security and protocol taking place all over the city. Arsenal's eye twitched every second of the briefing, his eyelid threatening to peel itself off of his face when Shiny Sparkle hugged their counselor from behind, breaching no less than three intimacy regulations in the process. “No need to worry,” the freak of nature assured him. “I have completely and absolutely fallen in love for Autumn and I’ll do everything for her. Meaning I’m just as loyal to the city as she is.” "Your assurances are duly noted," Arsenal growled, "but we'll be watching you through our rifle scopes until you've been screened properly. If you make one false step, you'll have Glass grieving for you before--" Without warning his belt radio flared to life, with Deathwish's voice howling through the static. "SPARKS SPARKS SPARKING SPARKAMITY!!!" "So now you know how to use your radio," Arsenal said ascerbically. "What's the situation?" "YOU STORMING KNOW THE SITUATION! THIS GREY SLONTZE JUST BROKE MY STORMING EAR!" "Do you need reinforcements?" "THE HELL I DO, YOU BLASTED CODGER. I'M GONNA KICK THIS GUY'S WRINKLED--" There was a thundering sound through the crackle, as if a thousand pounds of earth had just punched through the air beside the other radio. "SPARKS! SEND YOUR STORMING REINFORCEMENTS!" The radio went silent again with another thundering whoosh. Arsenal grimly clipped the device back to his belt and glowered at the inappropriately beaming Epic. "Well, Ms... Sparkle," he intoned dryly. "It seems you'll be getting a chance to prove your... love. Can you pry yourself from our counselor long enough to attend to a security breach downtown?" His eyes flitted to Autumn, eyes narrowing as he drilled into her uncomfortable suggestion. "Ms. Glass has a report to the commander to file. A full report." "Meg! Run!" screamed Alison Pierce. With a swat of her hand Impact snapped the tusk of the enormous elephant, which bellowed in pain as its body crashed into her. They both went tumbling to the ground... the blond girl looked so frail, surely she was going to get crushed... she managed to bend the laws of motion themselves, forcing herself upright and shattering the elephant like a giant grey egg... she went flying straight into the air... Backtrack was slightly pale as he watched the scenes of the past unfold. He'd known the momentum twins were tougher than they looked, but there was a difference between knowing that and seeing one of them murderize a giant elephant. Sparks, he was thinking of patting one of them on the rear just this morning! He'd almost made the biggest mistake of his life! He'd almost died! "So," MV stuttered, breaking the silence between them. "Um.. do you think you can find her? She kind of... flew for a bit." There was absolutely no way he could track a flying Epic like Impact through the city's skyline in a single evening. Also, with the amount of panic he'd sensed from her after her fight with the elephant, she'd probably pulverized herself into a thin red paste the second she'd come close to a building. "Absolutely," he smiled weakly. "You'll be with her again by tomorrow morning, I promise." Backtrack, you are such a coward. Sticking his hands in his pockets and tracing Impact's past shadow across the city's skyline, he turned around and started walking down the street. "I hope you like long walks through dark and and partially burning cities, 'cuz this could take a few hours." After walking in silence for a minute more, he gave a hesitant smile. "Hey, this is kind of a date, right? An emergency rescue date?"
  20. My father always tells me about books that way. "Hey, have you read [book Title]?" "No, I haven't. What's it about?" "Oh, it's great. Humanity is on the verge of extinction, so the main character goes through a wormhole, and he meets an alien race that's plotting to invade Earth, but it turns out at the end of the book that they're actually planning an interstellar relief mission..." "Wait! Did you just give away the ending?" "Oh, only the last couple of chapters. There's a lot more to it than just that. You should read it!" "Yeah. Maybe I'll do that. "
  21. There are so many things I want to say right now, but...
  22. Her arrival would be heralded by dying men whispering "It is but a thousand days, and the Glitterstorm comes."
  23. On the bright side, Axies would have a field day when he realizes she attracts hitherto unknown glitterspren. (I'll do that, then.)
  24. Is that a rhetorical question? Because I think we all know the answer to it. (Did ya see my question? I have something mostly written, but I'm at a loss for what to have Arsenal do besides send Shiny on the offensive.)
  25. Is it too soon to send Shiny in to reinforce Deathwish?
