So my brother has been wanting me to read these books for a while and I just start. I have finished Elantris, and the emperor soul for the cosmere and am now on Mistborn book 1. I have also read FireFight, The rithmatist, Skyward, Starsight, and most of the non-cosmere books. Overall I think I have liked Skyward and Starsight the most. IS there a point of wiew or way I should read it again to make me understand the book more? I still have a few questions every now and then.

For the Cosmere, I suggest complete the original Mistborn trilogy, then read either Warbreaker or start Stormlight. I felt a big disconnect when I tried to jump straight to the Wax and Wayne books (that start with Alloy of Law). Don't forget to read Mistborn: Secret History! I read it after Hero of Ages but you can also read it after Bands of Mourning.

You should get Arcanum Unbounded, it has all the Cosmere short stories and novellas published so far (minus Dawnshard), which includes: Emperor's Soul, Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell, Sixth of the Dusk, Mistborn: Secret History, and other collected short stories.

As for non-Cosmere, specifically Skyward... have you read Defending Elysium? It's a short story / novella set in the same universe as Skyward. It's available for free on Brandon's website.

My recommendation also goes to Perfect State and Dreamer, both are standalones and shorts but very, very good.

Welcome to the shard!! Don’t check much of the forums as you are just starting into the cosmere books. 
I suggest finishing mistborn era 1 then warbreaker and then either mistborn era 2 or Stormlight Archive. 
 
Read arcanum unbounded too but do not read edgedancer ( the last story in it) until you have finished atleast book 1 or 2 of SA.

a bunch of random questions:

Who's your favorite character and which character do you hate the most?

What order of radiant are you/ do you want to be?

If you could choose one allomantic power, what would you choose?

What about one feruchemical power?

if you were a twinborn, what would you want to be?

Of all the powers in the cosmere, which one do you most want to have?

which of sando's books do you like the most? This includes not cosmere books like reckoners, legion, rithmatist

How many more questions can i ask before you stop reading this?
