Cancei stood up to defend his table from phantom ninjas.

"why in Rashal's name am I studying in an inn's common room?"

Alas, it appeared that Cancei was a rather deranged fellow, for he was not in the common room of an inn. For the narrator had not written him entering the inn. :P

Alright fine :P

Tualak noticed a man sitting on the other side of the room that he hadn’t before. Was he dissecting something? In a bar??
That doesn’t seem very sanitary, Tualak thought.

Another notable difference between juveniles and adult dragons was the organs that produced the dragon's fire. Cancei had heard that flames were exhaled, but his theory about dragon fire was that it was some kind of spray that mixed two chemicals that ignited on contact.

You can give him like, some description. I said be vague but not that vague :P. You can have him talk with Gaboranth. Tualak is talking with Perr, but Gaboranth is free. He was just walking outside to unpack his horse.

Analex sighed, walking up to the bar and ordering a drink. There didn't seem to be any material reason for his depressed state: he wore nice clothing, a clean beard, and a fancy black fedora.

Cancei finished stripping the bones of flesh, then got up and rinsed them in the river outside. After coming inside, he got a frying pan from his pack and started frying the dragon meat.

Xanth walked into the Inn, his journey weighing heavy on his shoulders, he didn't order anything, instead walking to the first person he saw.

Analex shrank. "What do you want?"

"Oh, nothing much brother sorry if I disturbed you, but I must ask, what do you know of life?" Xanth replied, nodding as he asked.

"Ummm... what?"

Another who doesn't know? Xanth thought. Are we all so ignorant?

"What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? How does the universe opperate? What great plans do the gods have laid out for us mortals?" Xanth asked.

"Why are we here? If there is a reason, nobody's bothered to tell me yet. I don't think the man upstairs took my opinion into account when he decided to give me a life to live."

Xanth shook his head, another one as ignorant as the others, as ignorant as he was.

Could no one provide the answers he sought?

"Well, what do you know of life?" Xanth asked, trying to keep hopeful, perhaps he could still learn something.

"It's painful and I honestly hate it."

Xanth sighed in Frustration, he had known it was likely to not get anything, but despite his years of trying, patience was not a virtue he could claim.

"Here, try some dragon meat, it is basically ambrosia"

"No thank you. I don't eat meat."

"Yeah, I'm a dragon osteologist, I have no use for the meat, but it sure is tasty!"

"Dragon meat is the meaning of life!"
