Hi everyone!

I'm a relatively new reader to fantasy novels, and I started reading Sanderson's works a bit under a year ago, and have absolutely fallen in love with the Cosmere as a whole. After starting with Mistborn in February of this year, I've since gone on to read every published story in the Cosmere, and am currently a bit under half-way through Rhythm of War. I also started on Wheel of Time a little while ago and have slowly been working my way through it (I just started The Dragon Reborn before Rhythm of War came out).

I've used the 17th shard for a while to look up theories and information on the Cosmere, and have found it to be an invaluable source. I decided it was about time I properly joined, and hopefully I can contribute in a meaningful way.

Welcome to the Shard! Delighted to have you come join us especially if you are sorta new to fantasy! I would say you definitely picked some good options to start out on here  

I can so agree on falling absolutely in love with the Cosmere! Each series is so uniquely powerful and massive, combining all of this together in one giant universe is just soooo awesome and makes it all the more awe inspiring. And dang, you've gone all out finishing everything off nicely done! Have you read anything non-Cosmere yet?

I really like pretty much the entire cast in Stormlight, it's a bit hard to pick. As of where I am in RoW (just starting on part 3) I think it's a tie between Shallan, Pattern, and Syl, but all that will probably change depending on the day you ask me

Probably The Emperor's Soul. I absolutely love the long series, but on an individual book level I just feel like Emperor's Soul is just does so much so well for such a short book, and the idea of Forgery as a magic system is extremely fascinating to me.

The Witcher short stories are where I started off getting into fantasy due to the games (I haven't gotten around to the novels yet), and then I moved on to Kingkiller. After that is when I started Mistborn and really got into the Cosmere. Like I mentioned, I've also very slowly been working my way through WoT, but it hasn't been my main focus because it's such a long series and I don't want it to completely take over my life (yet). Next on my plate after RoW and finishing the next book or two in WoT I'm looking to start on either First Law or Malazan.

Hello! Welcome to the shard. A lot of people have different opinions on this, but what order do you think people should read cosmere books? I think Mistborn era one is a good first read

Ooh cool starting point! Easing on into it and then getting to more and more I like it  And then Mistborn to start of the Cosmere is an excellent spot, nice stuff! I would definitely have to plug the Reckoners and the Alcatraz books by Brandon as other great books of his that aren't in the Cosmere realm.

Alcatraz is so unique and hilarious I always gotta be sure to plug it  Look forward to seeing you around!
