I'm going to try to make this as brief as possible:

According to the Coppermind, Roshar (the continent) is the only continent on Roshar. (Now the link to the arcanum is missing, so this could be invalid, but I'm going to stick to it)

But it specifically says continent as opposed to landmass. In addition to that we have this line, from an interlude from a man named Puuli in OB:

Quote

They’ll come with Light in their pockets. They’ll come to destroy, but you should watch for them anyway. Because they’ll come from the Origin. The sailors lost on an infinite sea.

Okay. I highly doubt that any boats on Roshar could withstand a highstorm, so it's most likely metaphorical.

Meaning, that there would have to be another place for whoever they are to shelter. Also, because of the spread of crem, it would make sense that another landmass would be formed. In addition to all this we have the story of the Wandersail in tWoK, which is generally described as a Kaladin realization moment. But this is Sanderson. His writing, it is a riddle, wrappped in a mystery, inside an enigma. There's explicit mention of another significant landmass in the story, and it's probably alluding to one out of it as well.

But above all this there is one final bit of speculation that is the linchpin of my thoughts. There is a Dawnshard missing. I could turn this into a rant about how most of the Dawnshards are probably the Unmade (hardly original, I know), or how the Dawnshards are probably Odious in nature. But whether you agree or not, it is most likely the Dawnshards are not in Aimia, (then they'd have probably been shown in the RoW preview chapters) and where else on Roshar would they be? Please post thoughts below.

Edit: What I mean by significant is that it could: A, support life. And B, it could provide enough resources, and shelter that people (or singers) could survive, and eke out a living.

Questioner

Are are they any other continents on Roshar?

Brandon Sanderson

Roshar is, I haven't said that there's anything else out there, but I have said it's Pangea, meaning if there's anything else out there, they are small.  They are not of a similar scope and size.  Now on Scadrial, there is other stuff going on.  And I've told people that for years, and years, and years.  So, you may find some other stuff going on there.  For years, you know, the southern continent was populated on Scadrial during the Final Empire era, even.  It was just impossible to reach because the heat, the poles were the only habitable places on that planet, and so anything in between, you just couldn't deal with it.  The Final Empire was on the North Pole.

Does the world map in The Way of Kings show all of the landmasses of Roshar? Does that make the continent on Roshar a Pangaea-like supercontinent? And as I think about it, are there tectonic plates on Roshar?

Brandon Sanderson

It is a supercontinent. I won't say there is NOTHING out there, but (unlike Scadrial) there is not another full continent. Plate tectonics are not a factor on the supercontinent.

Questioner

Apparently that’s the southern continent, are we going to see the northern continent?

Brandon Sanderson

What, on Roshar? Roshar is only-- it is a pangaea. On Scadrial, you've got a lot more going on-- That's the Mistborn world. So you will see multiple different continents there.

Questioner

So Roshar is pretty small on the map. Are there other species on the planet that we don't know about?

Brandon Sanderson

Roshar is primarily the one continent. There are no other continents.

Questioner

No other continents?

Brandon Sanderson

No other continents... There are no other major landmasses on the planet.

Questioner

Is there more to the Roshar world than what is shown on the map or is it just that?

Brandon Sanderson

There is only one continent. Now if you are paying attention, that's not answering your question completely.

Questioner

It's just different realms and all that. I meant like more landmass.

Brandon Sanderson

There is only one continent on Roshar.

Questioner

Just different versions of it.

Brandon Sanderson

That doesn't mean there aren't islands out there.

Now the Mistborn world there is a whole lot more.

Questioner

We've only had that one little part so far.

Brandon Sanderson

Yeah, but it's basically almost all empty because... Which is actually very fun for the worldbuilding, is this idea of a mostly unpopulated world.

Is the landmass the stretches from Shinovar to Alethkar the only continent on that planet?

Brandon Sanderson

It's the only continent. It's not the only land but it's the only large landmass.

Roshar--it's obviously, it is or it seems to be in the Southern Hemisphere. Is there something else in the world?

Brandon Sanderson

There are no other continents. It's not completely--it is Southern Hemisphere--but I think we inch up above the equator, don't we?

Isaac Stewart

Just a bit, just the islands. They kinda curve over the equator.

Brandon Sanderson

There are no other continents but there might be other smaller landmasses.

Prague Signing (Oct. 26, 2019)

No other continents or major landmasses but there are other islands. Perhaps the fabled Origin of Storms too, who knows? But something beyond the Ocean of Origins has been hinted strongly by the story of Wandersail & Puuli's interlude so there must be something more out there.

I think there is most likely more landmasses of varying size, but I don’t think the ones coming from the origin will be coming from roshar. I think the origin that is referred to, is the planet which the humans and odium came from.

That's a cool thought!

IMO there have been too many in-world myths of people living across the ocean for there to be no payoff. There is no whirlpool where the ocean drains, but there are some people out there on an island chain or something that we'll meet eventually.
