Need specific horror book recs for the fall/winter season.

Has Brandon ever recommended any haunted house type novels at any time?  if he has not, then can anyone here?  Looking for things similar to Poltergeist, Conjuring, Insidious, Mama, The Exorcist, etc. Bonus points for female protagonist in the 18-30 year old range and it does not have to have a happy ending-meaning I am fine if said main protag does not survive the ending.

No comics, graphic novels, or manga please.  

also, paper media only, no audio/eBooks.

Try Katherine Arden's Small Spaces and Dead Voices. Female protag for both, but eleven, so younger than your criteria. The series is meant to cover four seasons, with the first two books covering Fall and Winter. I don't usually read horror, so I'm sorry I can't help much

Is there anything like haunted houses/possession stories that are longer than 200 pages?
