I guess they could but only the things soulcasting allows. Like blood or oil . I don't think they could fool u into thinking u ate a meal tho. Too much complexity for that.

They can make ilusions of touch and smell. Tastes are biologicly very similar to smell, theyre both chemoreceptors, smell even is prtialy responsible for taste. So yes, they should can. 1
