Dominion and Devotion=Unity

In Elantris it is mentioned that all the religions focus on unity.

Shu-Dereth achieves Unity by Obedience(Dominion).

Shu-Korath is Unity by Love (Devotion).

Shu-Keseg is Unity (Dominion and Devotion)

Did anyone else follow this train of thought?

We did, the book did talk about the two faiths that way. Another interesting thing is that Devotion sounds like an opposite of Odium.

I also wondered if Dalinar is supposed to unite the shattered shards (perhaps by uniting the cognitive ghosts of past bond smiths). Its my most crackpot theory, but I am invested in it.
