Could Allomantic mettles be treated as drugs?

DOES NO ONE GET HOW EW THAT WAS? (I'm a germaphobe with stuff like that. I cam eat a sandwich with my hands covered in jet fuel and grease and be mostly fine but stuff like ^^ that, makes my skin crawl.)

We have a WoB that Spikes don't have to kill, but if they don't, they rip the soul (probably much the same as a Shardblade would). We have another WoB (I think) that a Gold Compounder would be able to heal back Spiked powers. So he could also heal back the Aluminum Ferring, and himself. There are probably adverse effects to repeated Spiking and healing, though.

We don't have a WoB on being able to heal back Spiked powers. We want a WoB on that because if we can then hello infinite every power for everyone!

 

So there's no evidence either way that Hemalurgy damages things the same way that Shardblades do. One theory that Sats and I have been quietly espousing for awhile now is that Hemalurgy "rips" while Shardblades just "sever", and that the one kind isn't quite so easily healed as the other.

Do you suppose that if you keep Spikes in blood, they don't lose power? That might be my next question to ask Brandon.

I bet the recipient could heal from a spike, the same way you can heal from a shardblade. But repairing the damage from the spike might undo the power you were granted. Meaning you leave the donor with their spirt Web ripped up, without anyone gaining.

I think the donor wouldn't be able to heal, because that part of their spirit Web was ripped off. If they heal at all, it probably wouldn't be woven the same, meaning they would be whole, but will not be the same.
