Yeah. You should read Mistborn. other spikes can do more things, specifically Atium and Lerasium, and all of the base 16 can only steal 1 per spike (Except aluminum but that just removes all powers and does literally nothing else)

My public library has a weird system where people can get a book at one library and return it at  another, so ima need to wait for awhile

I would say buy it, but my sister didn't like it so who knows. I don't want you to be stuck with a book you don't like. But if you like worldbuilding and magic systems (and cosmere) you should read it.

In probally just gonna buy it when I have the funds, it sounds like a really fun book

it is. 10/10 do recomend. if you have to save up to get it, maybe don't because there are better things to save up for when you can just get Mistborn from the library

And yes, I am pretty sure most libraries do that. In cities, all the libraries link up.
